Delicious comfort food. If you are craving home cooking this is the place. I love the meatloaf and the fried green tomatoes. Also if you can save room for dessert, the pies are amazing. Never tried their breakfast but heard it is fabulous as well.

We love the local food. Reminds me of my younger years when our grandparents would cook those Sunday meals. Meatloaf, is a favorite. The hot-brown is a must try. Desserts are worth every calorie!

We drove over 7 hours arrived at Lexington just in time for dinner. It was a very open restaurant and it was full! We put our names down for a table and waited for a few minutes. The restaurant had all the Southern food one could ever dream of. Our server was friendly and fast. Of course I had to try the Fried chicken dinner with mash potatoes and coleslaw. It was the most tender chicken breasts I had ever had and the crispy coating was so good! They also served it with the white sauce. If you are in Lexington you have to try Ramsey’s Diner!

I loved this place! So local, at the staff knows the regulars, and what they like to eat. And the locals themselves are great colorful folk to talk to. They get a glass of bourbon and a full fried corn on the cob while they wait for their meal. I’m a Yankee, so this was a real southern treat for me! Just sit at the bar and enjoy yourself! Food was awesome too! I got the yogurt chicken sandwich with fried corn on the cob with parm(of course!) It did take a little while to get out, but the company was good, so no big deal. Chicken was moist and over fried tomatoes in cornmeal, bread was toasted, so it was great texture differential. Corn was great! I could eat three if those easily! I thought about taking a picture somewhere in the middle of the meal, but it was too hard to stop! Then I grabbed a chocolate cream pie. It was rich! This was one of my favorite meals in Lexington!

Just moved to Lexington and I’m so glad we found this gem! I had the Skillet fried pork chop, Mac and cheese, and creamed corn. The pork chop was tender and juicy, and the creamed corn was delicious. The corn bread was so good that I asked for some to take home. I rarely clean my plate, but I did at Ramsey’s! Our the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will be back!

Not really impressed, and a bit disappointed after all of the high ratings. The catfish was great – the highlight of the meal. But the mashed potatoes were so lumpy I couldn’t eat them. The fried green tomatoes weren’t very good, either. The apple fritters were dry and lacked much taste. The cheesecake was good enough to almost save the day, but overall not an experience worth repeating.

We came on a recommendation to try this local restaurant because they serve farm fresh veggies. We were not disappointed They were very busy but we only had to wait ten minutes to be seated. We had drinks delivered quickly and our order taken. Our food was hot and in generous portions. My acorn squash was a little undercooked for my taste but seasoned well. No room for their homemade desserts so i will return to try those.

My friend and I went to a couple of wineries and needed some food. We were craving a hamburger and wanted to find a simple bar and grill near the area. Ramsey’s popped up on the Unilocal list. So we decided to go there. WOW! At 3:00 p.m., they were slammed! But we were seated and waited on right away! We got the hamburger($ 8.95) with cheddar cheese on the side, red onion, mushrooms, and bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a onion bun. Got an extra order of fries(crinkle cut). Can’t complain for $ 11.00(not including the tip), that wasn’t bad and the hamburger was awesome! Cooked exactly how we wanted it. Medium well, fries were excellent, hot and lightly coated. Our waitress was even great at refilling our waters and quick with giving us the bill/checking us out. the area. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. I also liked the atmosphere and spacious. They serve lunch, dinner, have a gluten free section, and do catering as well. I was very happy with the excellent service and would definitely come back if I am ever in

One of my very favorite places to eat in Lexington! Thank goodness corn daze was still going on. Okra corn and tomatoes is a favorite and I had fried corn with parmesan, salad, and cucumber salad to go with it. Everything was great and the corn bread dipped in the ranch dressing(Yes, I’m weird) topped it off. No room for pie today

Excellent southern food with large portions and a number of healthy options. Don’t miss the deep fried corn with Parmesan! The lemon yogurt chicken was awesome; split a plate and it was just the right amount of food to consume with dessert :) Large selection of pies and cheesecakes available. A Lexington staple.

I love getting pie as an appetizer here. Then following up with dinner. My go-to is the fried chicken breast with the two sides. My favorites are the creamed corn and the tomatoes. Corn and ‘mater days are really the best times to come here. Fried corn is a thing and if you haven’t tried it, it is totally worth it. The hot brown here is better than the one I have had at the Brown Hotel. I am not sure if that says something about the Brown Hotel or Ramseys. Go here for the pies. It really is the best part of dinner.

Went to dinner with friends yesterday. They are from GA, so we had to take them to get some southern comfort food. I had Pot Roast with vegetables, my husband had the sirloin steak with veggies. Our friends has the veggie plate and the pork chop. Everything was spectacular. Steak grilled to perfection. Great veggies. Perfect night for comfort food! Our friends loved it as well. Had to get butterscotch pie to-go, since it was Pi Day after all :) Perfect spot for some feel-good food!

I know a few franchises who specialize in boneless buffalo wings, but theirs do not come close to Ramsey’s. And you thought Ramsey’s was only about southern home cooking?! I usually get the buffalo chicken strip salad. It’s the best around. The chicken is evenly coated with sauce, and comes hot on a bed of lettuce and cheese. The chicken heats the cheese to soft perfection. The ranch and blue cheese are homemade and delicious. Don’t worry if someone in your party isn’t interested in a salad, they have specialties like items like the Hot Brown, and chicken livers. They’re also known for their vegetable options that include fried green tomatoes and rotating seasonal options. This is one of three Ramsey’s locations. This one is in the Hamburg area, in the same strip mall as Orange Leaf. But you probably won’t make it over to Orange Leaf, because if you’re in the mood for dessert, you’ll probably be enticed by a slice of Missy’s pie… especially if you see other people indulging in a slice of goodness. One day I’m going to just go here and get a slice of pie, because I’ve never«saved room for dessert». It’s not everywhere that you find a place that specializes in vegetables and pies… welcome to Lexington!

It ain’t fancy. It is tasty. I had a Hot Brown, a Old Fashioned, and pecan pie. All three were excellent. I never had a hot brown before. Excellent hot sandwich, great gravy. My standards for an old fashioned are pretty low because in NY/NJ, I have to remind the bartender how to make it. Here, they did it right. Tasty, citrus flavor, but the bourbon comes through strongly. The pecan pie was great, just right on. Decent prices too.

One of my favorites in Lexington. The pork chops broiled in the red sause is my favorite on the menu, but for those of you that like a hot brown this one is hard to beat. I also love the large selection of fresh side dishes. The creamed corn, fried green tomatoes, and the squash are all good choices, but all of the sides are great. I’ve never experienced a bad meal here and the service is good as well. Don’t forget desert if you like sweets.

Homemade pie, friendly staff, great food and 2 for 1 happy hour = WIN! My first hot brown had to be from Ramsey’s and wow. I would think a restaurant would need to have a special permit to sell that much unhealthy but heavenly goodness on one plate. I even got fresh, buttered, white corn on the cob for a veggie which was a delicious complement to my already cholesterol dripping feast. I’m definitely coming back.
