This was a recommendation from a coworker. The food was okay, I did not like the egg roll. The service was not friendly. If I order from here again I will call my order in or request delivery.

We love this place close to home, priced well and food tastes great. I usually get the general tso’s chicken combo with fried rice and egg roll. My wife gets the chicken and broccoli and my oldest son loves it as well. Food has always been fresh and ready quickly. If I am out of town for work my boys say oh yeah we get to have Chinese. I love the crab Ragoon and my wife likes the steamed dumplings for appetizers. The shrimp egg rolls are also really good. This in my opinion is the best Chinese place in Lexington. The staff is friendly from time of placing order and pick up. On the occasion the delivery guys are also very pleasant.

I tried this place for the first time after reading the reviews. It’s an okay Chinese place. Quick delivery, but the seasons chicken was kind of fried too hard. The beef lo mien was pretty good, but I doubt I’d be in a rush to order delivery again.

The Iron Chef is a favorite lunch delivery choice at my wife’s former place of work. Recently we sampled their takeout and chose a couple of lunch specials(which are a terrific value). We ordered the $ 5.00 Orange Chicken and the $ 4.50 Chicken with Cashews. Both were generous portions and each came with Saffron Fried Rice and your choice of Soup or an Egg Roll(we chose the egg roll). The Orange Chicken was tender with a flavorful sauce. The chicken itself was breaded and of a higher quality than that offered by many of the local Chinese restaurants. The chicken in the Cashew dish was non-breaded and simply cubed, and for me a bit bland. The vegetables in this dish were plentiful and appetizing, but I prefer the breaded chicken so I won’t be ordering this dish again. I give the orange chicken a rating of 5 and the cashew chicken a rating of 3, so overall I’m awarding them a 4. The fried rice was also very good as were the egg rolls. If you’re looking for traditional Chinese takeout this place is a must! To save a buck take advantage of the lunch special!

Delivery is fast and the food is awesome. The portions are huge! We always get 2 small orders of sweet and sour chicken and always have enough for left overs.

BESTBESTBESSSSST Chinese food in Lexington hands down — NO doubt about it! They always listen to us and take notes on everything we ask for… Having such a large variety of people in our house: We have meat eaters, a Pescatarian, Vegans, and Vegetarians and they always find a way to accommodate us to the way that suits us :) We LOVE their combo plates and I personally love to get sweet&sour sauce w/Chili oil and soy sauce and mix it all together and pour it over my steamed white rice — My mouths watering just thinking of it: D My family also loves their general tso’s tofu combo because they cook the tofu to perfection lol You MUST try this place — Wish I could rate it 10Stars

Good portions(by good I mean«huge») Delivery is always fast and everything tastes fresh. With delivery and tip we got 2 entrees, 2 apps, and an egg roll for less than $ 30. Which seems high, but honestly we could’ve shared one of each and been just fine. We were starving(and have big appetites) but we still have enough for generous leftovers later. Always a good experience:)

First time here today. Small restaurant, great flavors! Their rice is very good quality(not the cheap ones you get at Krogers.) I’ll definitely visit again :-)

Food is great here. The lady always remembers your order no matter how long it’s been since you’ve been there. Wish they were open later.

Great food and generous portions. Clean store and friendly staff. There’s a bar next door so you can have a drink while you wait for your order.

One of my top favorite Chinese places in Lexington! It may look like a hole in the wall but that’s what makes it great. The staff are always very friendly. If you sit down and eat-in, your portions are usually enormous for the same price as delivery. I’ve never had a single issue with their food and they often remember my order after hearing my voice. Love this place.

I don’t even want to put a single star on this place. NEVER say never right? If the world was coming to an end, MAYBE I would eat their crap. I ordered«chicken with broccoli» for my son, well all that money gone down the drain. If the super market doesn’t sell yellow broccoli, then I think a restaurant shouldn’t either. It wasn’t worth the hour of wait for the 3 little pieces of chicken & the 15 pieces of old broccoli. I ordered«Chow Mein» & I will start off by saying, I am from California and chow mein is the actual noodles. I got the Cabbage stuff, I didn’t know California«chow mein» was Kentucky ‘lo mein” . The lady asked me if I wanted cabbage or the soft noodles, I said noodles. I got the cabbage stuff with the«crunchy noodles» aka chips. I called the place back to let them know my order was wrong. I did delivery by the way. The lady starts YELLING at me because I got confused and it was MYFAULT and MYMISTAKE and SHEDIDNTHAVETIMEFORME… These are actual phrases from her. I want to state one thing… BADCOSTUMERSERVICE I asked for my money back because truthfully I do not need to get yelled at by someone who isn’t my mother. After trying to get my point across multiple times, and explaining that I understand it is my fault, but I just wanted to clear it up, she still yelled at me but eventually says she will send me the«lo mein» and next time I better get the name right… is that a threat??? I didn’t even get a chance to say thank you because she hung up the phone on me, in my face, whatever you would like to call it. WORSTCOSTUMERSERVICEEXPERIENCEEVER!!! There is no form of professionalism in this location at all, even the delivery driver seemed mad. It was my fault I understand that, but it was an honest mistake, there was no need for a guilt trip and telling me off over the phone. to end my review… I wouldn’t recommend this place, because of the lack of costumer service and professionalism.

Went there for lunch the other day. Got a boneless spareribs combo and egg roll. The egg roll was actually fried in peanut oil which is something that I missed since I left NY. The peanut oil makes a huge taste difference. The boneless ribs were very tasty as well and mostly meat. A lot of other take out places pack the boneless ribs with a lot of gristle and fat, which totally kills the enjoyment. My only suggestion would be a add a bit more soy sauce to the fried rice as it is a bit bland for my personal taste, but overall the quality of everything I got was great.
