I am being a bit generous with 3 stars because of their efforts in renovating this old Quincey’s. I truly hope they renovate the menu as well. Though my partner and myself grew up on southern fried«Fish Camps» we don’t eat much fried seafood. If you don’t either, do not eat here. If you do like it fried you may find something you like! I had the broiled scallops and jumbo shrimp and it is just not adviseable to order this when you are sitting so far from the ocean. Did these items come from a can? The jury is still out. My LP loves anything crab, except deviled crab… because, well just because. She ordered crab stuffed jumbo shrimp. Guess what they should call it? Deviled crab stuffed shrimp. Ugh. How to ruin shrimp in one easy step. The server was good. The space was neat to look at but the atmosphere… no music, no din of pleased patron chatter. It was unsettlingly quiet. This is not a drill, people! #RestaurantRescue

We went during renovations and the place was in pretty bad shape. However, it looks like décor will be a nice touch once complete. The she crab or lobster bisc(can’t remember which one they had) was the absolute worst I have ever tasted including any fast casual places like newks or bear rock café. I told server that I did not like it and please remove. She still charged me for it and when I asked her to remove from Bill she said she would have to ask a manger. Food was nothin special at all otherwise. They did have a good selection of fish to choose from though.

I went to the Harbor Inn Seafood restaurant in Lexington with colleagues on a few different occasions some years ago so I decided since I was in the area I would return. The customer service was good. I was greeted upon entering and told to have a nice day as I was leaving. However, the food is a totally different story. I ordered an every day special with a loaded baked potato-$ 12.28 and a slice of white raspberry cake which I’m pretty sure I ordered a slice of chocolate swirl instead but not a major problem once I was aware of the mishap thinking it would still taste magnificent-$ 5.99. I was apprehensive about the price for a slice but she said it was a nice decent size. After arriving home, I opened the meal and everything seemed somewhat strewn about. I went directly from the restaurant to my home and the food was sitting upright inside the car so I know it was displayed in that poor fashion at the restaurant(Should have looked inside but they were so great on prior visits). It didn’t seem to have been put together with care and attention. There was one piece of tilapia which was very bland, no flavor sitting atop fried baby shrimp. The baby shrimp were just OK. The hushpuppies were OK. The loaded bake potato was OK but it did taste better than the Fish and Hushpuppies. The crab cake tasted like corn bread was stuffed inside. The cake was the worst! Horrible! It tasted like those play cakes kids enjoy baking for Santa. It was definitely not baked by a professional. I spent a total of $ 19.55 for this horrible meal. I have had better at Captain D’s.This is definitely not the Harbor Inn Seafood that I remember. They have permanently lost a customer. Since they were so great a few years ago I would have been willing to give them another chance if it had only been one or two things wrong but this is beyond what I can accept. Never again.

My goodness how the quality of this place has gone down! Used to be one of our favorite modestly priced restaurants with pretty good food. Now, the food is horrible and the prices have become ridiculous! The fish has a scary smell, the sweet potato is soaked in grease and the hush puppies are stale. All this and the price now is rated at $$. We will not be going here for a LONG time if ever again.

The food at Harbor Inn appear simple, flavors have basic taste, nothing special. Presentation of the food was great and we received a good amt for the price. The fish and shrimp tasted frozen, not fresh. A host of items on the menu, offering something for the whole family. The waitress need training in politeness and customer service. The shop is both clean and tidy, having plenty seating space, good parking. Staff members greeted us when we can in/out when we left. I would give this restaurant another chance in the future. Fast food environment with slow service, it was on Mothers day last year.

Oysters on the half shell were awful(I’ve never had to add salt to oysters before now). The hushpuppies were dry… thank god for butter. The fried seafood platter was mediocre at best. The crab stuffing in the crab-stuffed tilapia was okay… the fish itself was bland and overcooked. We paid extra for«fresh veggies» that were also bland and tasted like they came out of a bag. Paid over $ 50 for this. NOTWORTHIT.

My fist visit and dinner was amazing. They’re service and crab legs were great. I had no complaints and named it my new favorite restaurant. Went tonight and it was terriable. My crab legs tasted like dirty water and my waitress walked by my table 3 times before she picked up the dirty plates.

My wife and I have only eaten here once and will never, ever go back! I order fried oysters and bit into a shell that broke my tooth. Very dirty, did not smell clean, and staff were extremely rude and acted like we were an inconvience to them.

Had a groups to try this place and I have to say it was awful. The food all tasted like fish even tho my daughter had chicken. Fries tasted like fish. Oyster stew had 1oyster and milk with butter. Tasteless and not worth 5 bucks. Waitress seamed confused when we asked if it always had just 1 oyster. Now stuck with another groupon I can’t use. Awful

No, it is not a white tablecloth, fancy place like Blue Marlin, but it is a great local seafood place that has been serving really good food in Lexington for 10 years. TONS of food for a very fair price(too low to be honest for all you get). In fact I would recommend you get 1 meal and split it for most meals. The Catfish filet meal today($ 8.99) had FOUR very large pieces of catfish, and a plate FULL of fries and some cole slaw. We easily could have feed two adults with it. And do not even get me started with all you get for $ 13 when you get the Seafood Platter! It is NUTS! Great family place. REALLY good service from very friendly staff. I will be back.
