First Watch has been around awhile and I hadn’t made the effort to try it until today. I nearly didn’t make it through the front door thanks to a disgusting man sitting in a wheelchair at the front door having just come out of the building. His injuries were obvious as he was barely covered by clothing. His disability was exposed as he cleared his sinuses and spat RIGHTINFRONTOFTHEDOOR. A shout out to that guy – bad manners are a handicap only if you let them be! Ugh. We went in despite the nasty little man. I’m glad we did! The nicest host seated us and a waiter immediately brought menus and utensils. The menu, while not extensive, is varied and interesting. We chose soup and a sandwich. He had Italian wedding soup and a reuben whole I ate a BLTE and tomato basil soup. We agreed everything was very good(especially their tea). We will definitely be back and hope we see a more pleasant entrance next time.

Came for lunch today after volunteering at the Lexington Rescue Mission… I would love the opportunity to comment on the food considering it was my first visit. Unfortunately, my fellow volunteer and I sat for fifteen minutes without being acknowledged or greeted after being sat and given menus. I did see a table arriving after us being greeted immediately. And then another. Needless to say, we went elsewhere after nearly twenty minutes of anonymity. Inexcusable.

I have been here several times and just can’t seem to get good service. Everyone is slow, the food is way over priced for what you get and the portions are just way to small. These guys used to be great when they first opened up but now it’s just horrible. The sadder part of this review is the manager says I am the only person that complains about there service. Someone really needs to tell him about Unilocal.Lol.

Service was awful. This is the second time at this first watch location. I have been to other first watch restaurants in different states I lived and never had this type of service. Very disappointing. My mother and my meal was served and we had to wait 10 minutes for them to bring up my husband breakfast. No apology no nothing. I’m not sure if they were short staffed or what but the place was dead maybe five tables had patrons.

The prices for most items are no longer lower than those at the Wild Eggs. The portion seems a little smaller but chances are you won’t leave hungry. Service was friendly and food improved since we visited a few months ago, but things can still be slow: the restaurant was half empty Saturday around 9:30am but we still waited at least 15 minutes till both our breakfast plates were brought to the table. The eggs on my plate were barely warm. Other items were good. If you live around here and want to avoid the wait at the Wild Eggs during weekends, this is an acceptable option.

Seated immediately at 10:45 am on Saturday. Kitchen/server service needs to improve. Meals did not arrive at the same time — 3 arrived together and 10 minutes later the other two came to table. Server had to be reminded about bread which was to be served with first group of meals. Food was tasty and presented well.

My second time here was not as enjoyable as my first. The first time I came to this location the service was slow but reasonable, the food was nicely prepared and the experience was pleasant. This time, however, it took 10 minutes before anyone came over to take our drink orders! The eggs were overcooked and the rest of the food was cold. Very disappointed! Would be one star if only based on this visit.

I’ve been here at least a dozen times now and each time it continues to get worse. Today when we were seated, it was nearly 10 minutes before a server came over to take our drink order. He apologized and told us that he didnt realize this was his table. No big deal, but when our food arrived we were even more disappointed. I ordered Caps, etc. with«over-medium» eggs. My eggs came out over hard, completely over cooked, and there was some black dirt smeared on that side of the plate. The bowl of mushroom caps was completely undercooked, with the middle portion of the serving completely cold. The cheese that was supposed to be melted over the mushrooms was only partially warm, and most of it fully un-melted in shredded cheese form. The worst part was the mushrooms being cold though. Our served apologized for taking so long to attend to us, and said«I’ll try to get this out for you quick», but I would’ve rather had to wait a few extra minutes for a properly cooked meal rather than half of it being over-cooked and half of it being cold. My boyfriend had a pesto chicken quinoa bowl and he said it was overcooked as well. We were in a hurry to make it to another commitment or we would have asked for them to re-cook our food! Breakfast really shouldn’t be so hard to get right!

Both times I have been to this restaurant I was happy with the service. I was seated right away and no waiting. The food was delisious and I will go back anytime.

Sadly, after visiting this location over a dozen times since they opened, we had to conclude it is not nearly as good as the Wild Eggs:(1) Their choices in the breakfast menu is more limited:(2) the cooking(of pancakes, omelettes, and sausages) is not nearly as good;(3) the service there ranged from inadequate from satisfactory. Only one server who has been there for quite some time can be considered excellent. We have given the restaurants several chances and even a couple of suggestions for it to improve service and cooking in the past months. Meanwhile we continue visiting the restaurant. Our experience today was bad enough to make us not want to return: The apple sausage was burnt and very, very salty. The pumpkin pancake was thick in the middle with a lump of uncooked flour, rendering a pretty decent portion inedible. The«triathlete» egg white omelette is flat with ridiculously low amount of fillings: about three small slices of mushroom, virtually one bite of the onions, and about two bites of diced tomatoes. The fruit cup has three small chunks of pineapples and four small chunks of honey dew. In contrast, the veggie omelette at the Wild Eggs can one up with heaping amount of vegetables at about the same price. The service has always been good and food has always been served hot there. I hope Wild Eggs will open a location in this part of the town.

Solid, healthy breakfast. Friendly service. I had the Forage omelette. Was good but the mushrooms weren’t the ones advertised. Tasty none the less. Daughter had Floridian French toast which was also nice. Would put them in a solid second place in our list of Lexington breakfast spots tried this week.

Been to this location a multitude of times now, and always impressed with the food. However as a server of 5 years I have never been treated so poorly and had such terrible service by a number of different servers there. Other times the servers have been polite, friendly and very helpful, but it seems that this happens less often. Great food, just very hit or miss with the service

First Watch has a wide variety of menu options and even offers several items that are diet-friendly. I’m not a huge fan of breakfast foods so I really like that you can order lunch items even during«breakfast hours» here too. My favorite is the Not Guilty Your Honor wrap with the dresses greens. There is always a wait on the weekends so we always sit at the Community table which is 1st come 1st served.

My wife and I had a great breakfast at First Watch. I got the standard eggs over easy with bacon, potatoes, and bread, but it was cooked perfectly. The OJ was fresh squeezed. My vegan wife asked for a special breakfast not on the menu and they prepared it. This consisted of kale and carrots with a veggie burger cut up into bite sized pieces with a sun dried tomato topping served on a bed of quinoa with a pesto dressing. It was delicious. Our server was great. She engaged us in conversation and treated us as though we were the only people in the restaurant. I would eat at First Watch often if I lived in Lexington, and will when I visit.

First Watch is a standard for unique and good breakfasts at a good value. The Lexington location is no exception. The Bacado omelette was good as usual. Good coffee and perfectly cooked English muffin. Service was very good, and this was my favorite breakfast in Lexington.

They definitely had me at «pumpkin pancakes.» Pleasant service, quick arrival of food, and a very filling plate of perfectly prepared breakfast. The fresh squeezed orange juice is lovely. Will definitely return for another visit soon!
