If you want to control your own music this isn’t the salon for you. The music (today’s was a blend of blaring loud country Christmas music) is terribly too loud and forced on you as there’s no way to turn it down, off, or customize the music you actually enjoy listening to. Tanning is my outlet to relax and unwind after work before returning home to chores and this and that’s that need to get done. I have been to many salons before and never have I been so unrelaxed and uncomfortable. Please note: you are forced to pay for a month and have at least one auto draft after that so I am literally at the mercy of my uncomfort until at least the end of January. There’s also no mirrors in the room, so if you need to sunscreen a tattoo on your back — plan accordingly or don’t sign up. I wish I’d have known all of this before signing away because now I’m locked in and unhappy. It’s not just about the tan, it’s about the experience and I can’t give a high review for that. It’s a shame.

I moved from South Carolina to Texas and then California, so I’ve seen my fair share of tanning salons across the US. Nothing compares to Sun Studio in Lexington! The beds are nice, clean, and safe, and the customer service is excellent. Every time I go to the tanning bed now where I live in Los Angeles, I get annoyed because I know what I should be getting, but am not. Sun Studio you broke the mold and spoiled me. I miss you! Love Sun Studio! Mandy is the sweetest! The salon is always so clean and the staff is extra friendly. Several girls in my office go every day at lunch. It’s so convenient. We’re in and out in a flash. One of the great perks is half price up-​grades on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
