So far every time I have been here the people are kind and attentive. I would not hesitate to recommend sending anyone here for there needs.

Personally, I’ve never been treated here. One time I brought a friend to the ER in the middle of the day. We thought for sure that we would have to wait awhile for her to be seen. However, the process was very quick. She was literally in and out. I would be guessing to say within an hour, but that’s what it seemed like. I’ve experienced other ERs and each time, the process consisted of a long wait in the waiting room… not here though. Early Wednesday morning I brought my mom here. I pulled up to the front and they quickly got here out of the car, and quickly took her straight to an ER room. The guy that helped her out of the car was so nice, the nurses were nice, and the doctor was even nice. She came in with a virus, they quickly started an IV and then had her up and running(not literally, but almost) within a few hours. I can’t speak about the billing, but I’m sure that it’ll be costly, as is to be expected with any ER visit anywhere in the country. She needed to be seen before her doctor’s office opened at 8am, and there’s a price to pay for that convenience and comfort. If ever I’m in need for a hospital or ER, this is where I would choose to be.

I went to the ER on a Wednesday night. I was admitted quickly. However, once admitted, the doctor said nothing was wrong and sent me on my way. He was rather rude and exasperated about it, as if my symptoms were nothing that should have worried anyone. We were there maybe 20 minutes total. This ended up costing $ 600 in the end. They admitted me as the highest level ER, but then acted like I was an idiot and did nothing for me. They still charged me for that, as if I’d had a heart attack. Then the physician charged me a separate $ 150 for nothing but his minute he spent with me. I protested both and was told it was already less than they would normally charge. They lowered it bc they knew they’d done nothing for me. I received zero fluids, no meds, no treatment. This was the most expensive mistake of my life. Hospitals like this are why people wait until they are almost dead before going.

My parents met at this hospital in 1974, on the fifth floor ;) They were both working then. Since that fateful day, there have been many experiences at Central Baptist. The most recent being a visit here Christmas day when a family member had to be admitted. I can’t attest much to the medical treatment of which I have no personal experience, but the all hospital staff were very nice Christmas day. The hospital was clean and parking was easy.
