As I do each year on my Birthday, I go to a restaurant that I’ve never been to ANTAI was a wonderful surprise. Finally a restraint that that treats food with love and caring, served by one of the best wait staff I’ve had in a very long time. The eating pleasure your looking for is here, presentation, excellent, Flavor of the food, great It isn’t mention on their website by they have a well stocked bar It serve 1st class sushi and sushime, but it’s more then Just a sushi Place

Very good food, service and selection! They serve both traditional Chinese, and several other items including sushi, grilled meats and thai dishes. I had the misfortune of being in the Harbison area during a Saturday evening with my family around dinner time. Not wanting to spend an hour and 45 minutes waiting in the lobby of one of the chain restaurants, we decided to spend 45 minutes leaving the parking lot of the shopping center and 15 minutes driving to Lexington to eat instead. Great choice! Unilocalers really liked this place so I took a shot! It’s a nice shopping center, and a very nice space. Although it is small, it was very busy. They were still able to get seated right away, and the service was fantastic! We had the edamame, crab wantons, and the shrimp wonton soup to start. The wantons were ok, but the rest was very good. My wife had the grilled steak which was tender enough to cut with a butter knife. She was surprised they had steak and that it was so good. My moo shu beef was fantastic. My kids had the chicken skewers and they were a hit. Great place, I’d drive across town to eat here again!

Oh my! It was a group of 10. We came on suggestion of one of group folks. Volcano roll, dragon roll and sushimi for the real sushi eaters. I tried the salmon(Lexington) roll. I’m a sushi virgin of sorts but I enjoyed tasting them! The noodle dishes were great, too. We’ll be back!

We’ve been here lots of times. The owners are wonderful. Great food & Great service. However, we had a takeout order today. Small portions and very bland House Deluxe Fried Rice. By far the worst experience we’ve ever had from Antai. I won’t do takeout again.

Love this place. Sushi was fabulous as usual. Only downfall is the restaurant is a little small and can get crowded quick during peak dining hours.

Believe what you read, this place is great! Crab Wontons and the Pad Thai were delicious. Friendly staff and inviting atmosphere.

This is our favorite restaurant in the Columbia, SC area. The atmosphere is comfortable and classy. The staff is amazing, and the owners take great care of their customers. We go every Friday night, and don’t miss going unless it is unavoidable. We highly recommend Antai. You will not be disappointed!

This is our family’s favorite place for Chinese food and sushi. The servers and owners are friendly and interesting. I love going to a place where the people working in it have lots of character! The sushi and tempura are fresh and well-made. So are the other Chinese entrees we’ve tried. Bonus: the dinner mints have dark chocolate on the outside. What?! You can’t beat it.

I went there because I heard good things about it when I sat down to eat sushi the chef had the sniffles you can tell he was very sick. I almost walked out for that reason but I decided to stay and give it a chance when I got my food I immediately saw that the fish was old. the wasabi was a different color green and dry will not go back

I only work in the area, so I’ve only had their food for carry-out, but I’ve never been disappointed. It’s always delicious. The only issue I’ve ever heard anyone have with this place is that while they advertise certain dishes as vegetarian, they use chicken broth in some of them. So ask, if you’re someone who doesn’t eat meat products, but definitely don’t miss out on their great food.

My favorite Chinese in the Columbia, SC area! I absolutely love the food and the atmosphere of Antai. I used to eat at Miyo’s but once I found Antai I have never been back! The steamed gyoza and spring rolls are amazing! My favorite rice dish is the Cantonese Fried Rice and my favorite meat dish is the General Tso’s Chicken! The food is fresh and delicious! I highly recommend to everyone!

Excellent service and food quality for lunch. The eggplant(and chicken) with spicy garlic sauce is worth a try.

This is one of the best Asian restaurants I have dined in the USA and mind you I’m from DC Metro region and have tried at least 15+ different Asian restaurants in 3 yrs but this stands out the best. Had eggplant in garlic sauce and it was out of the world!

Fantastic Asian fare! Their signature Heart of Love roll is the best sushi I’ve ever had. Great staff too.

Personally know the owners, and the restaurant is simply amazing. Their fusion is great, but my personal favorite is their sashimi! Super fresh :)

My husband and I love going here for some Sushi. The spider roll is to die for! The Fried Calamari is really good as well. It’s not too heavy on the batter, fried just right, and the dipping sauce is really good. The owners are Great! Always a friendly smile when you walk in the door. When you leave they also make sure to hold the door open for you. It is on the small side, but the sushi makes up for this!

The bf and I were craving Chinese, but wanted to try somewhere new, and found this place on Unilocal. We loved it! I had the curry, which was super-yummy(our server was attentive enough to keep refilling my tea every five minutes since it’s a spicy dish), and he had the kung pao, also quite tasty. I pretty much want to try everything on the menu now.

My Chinese girlfriend will only eat her own food and Antai’s food. The food is fresh, but skip on the sauces. This food is much better than Miyo’s because it doesn’t have an inflated price tag on it. I especially like their udon, fried brown rice and stir frys. Their sushi is pretty good, too. The owners are nice guys and the packed house lets you know that the Lexington folks know where to get quality Chinese. The prices are fairly reasonable, too. I try to get over here at least twice a month. I recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Agree with first review Great food and I eat there often. Owners care and are super nice. You won’t go wrong giving this place a try. You meet many nice Lexington folks here, more of an executive crowd at times, people who know food and like to get some Asian Fusion when they go out since they don’t fix it at home. New update — had lunch there for the first time, the Trio of soup, salad and spring roll were excellent and at $ 7, fairly priced. Tea was great. Service was perfect, and very comfortable booth seating. This has to be my favorite of the 3 similar places in Lexington because the owners are there, food quality is consistent, AC works well, clean, and exceptionally clean rest rooms, courteous staff, decent prices and«they care» about customers. Also the noise level is low, others of this type food are very noisy, and I like to talk and visit at supper, this is the best place for that.
