14 Carrot Whole Foods

I often stop by on my way from work to the gym to grab a vegan mini-​meal from their (small) deli selection, a packaged snack from their shelf (vegan/​gluten free protein snacks or wrapped bars), or Energy bites from their bulk selection. Then I also get a cold beverage like a Zevia (they have every flavor) or Highball.
Their selection is similar to Rosewood in Columbia however their deli and prepared food section is minuscule compared to Rosewood. However, they do have smoothies they make to order (most have honey so not something I care for but other people may).
There are two main check-​out females and I make sure I go to one and not the other if I want courteous service. Management does walk around and ask if you are finding everything OK which is very nice.
Overall I am thankful for this location and would recommend it especially if you are looking for vegan or gluten-​free foods.

Just returned an unacceptable product I bought yesterday. Return request was met with attitude rudeness and a lecturing tone about what a favor they were doing. With such customer service I will not be bothering them again with my business

They have absolutely everything I need when I’m feeling like making an organic Asian dish! I love this store! The associates are friendly, available, and knowledgable about their products. That is difficult to find in other stores. And if they don’t have the flavor/​scent/​size that you want, they will order it for you! The fact that it’s locally owned is the icing on the cake.

As an organic haven on the Lexington side of town, this place stands alone. All the other healthy food stores seem to be downtown or close to it so I’m thankful for this location. Everyone in the store is readily available to help you find products.
I like that they carry raw milk as many other stores in Columbia do not. They also have a rewards program (frequent customer card) that lets you earn points toward discounts AND they give you a free gift for your birthday if you join… mine was a free smoothie which was absolutely delicious and not packed with sugar like most. They have a wide range of products and usually Thursdays and Sundays are 20% off produce so that’s one way to keep costs down. They are also a CSA pick up location for Round River Farms so that has been handy! Check them out!

I arrived in Columbia early to visit a friend, but I decided to grab something to eat, well drink. I stopped at a coffee place and changed my mind. 14 Carrot Whole Foods caught my eye from the road and I decided to visit. My intentions were to get something to organic to eat. However, when I spoke to a staff person the smoothies were highly recommended.
There is a separate area to get smoothies. Sort of like a Smoothie Bar. It had its own menu with several choices. I ordered the pomegranate smoothie. It was delicious. No, really! It was very different from places like «Smoothie King.» It was not sweetened, but it was sweet from the various fruit that was added to the smoothie. The store had several other items. The fruit section was full of various in season fruit. The vegetable section was the same. They are all organic. 14 Carrot Whole Foods also had a holistic pharmacy, herbs, spices, coffee and all types of food items (gluten free).
There are about 4 check-​out lanes. There is also seating area inside and outside. The outside area has umbrellas and tables. The parking lot is a decent size. I’m not sure, but I believe there is parking behind the store. It could be hard to get to the store. If I lived in the area, I’d shop here.
