This library is one of the best I have ever been to! Surprisingly, my favorite place to sit and work are the tables right by the entrance. I went there the other night and my usual tables were taken, so I went upstairs and it was not as quite as I would hope. I chose a desk towards the back, but I guess some parents don’t care about keeping their 10 – 12 year old children quiet in the library. The librarian upstairs didn’t seem to care either. So that was a bummer, but still a great library.

the renovations are much better than the old library although i have a childhood of fond memories of the old one. computers are slow speed. least they were when i used them. the tables all have outlets to plug in your electronics which is cool. the staff is very helpful dont ever hesitate to ask help finding a book. ive discovered librarians LOVE when someone needs their help or want an opinion a new book to read. they know their books!

Having grown up in Lewisville, I have watched the Lewisville Library grow into its own. It was once a cluttered and congested-looking place but over the years they have re-built and updated it. The Lewisville Library offers activities EVERYDAY in the children’s section. If you’ve ever been, you’ll hear them make announcements for this activity or that. The children’s section is huge and makes your little one feel cozy and at home. The downstairs also hosts a slew of computers, a conference room and movies. I know there are books down there but I couldn’t tell you what section or genre since I usually hang out upstairs. The movie section is my favorite. Being a movie enthusiast, I’m always up for a new flick. I also utilize this section to educate my boyfriend on the movies he’s missed out on his whole life. Instead of constantly purchasing new ones, we borrow them! The bottom level of the library also has a hold section so if you were waiting to borrow a book or movie, you can just stop by to pick it up. Upstairs hosts the Teen Section, several conference rooms, tables, computers and most of the books. Every section imaginable is up there. The library is always hosting a slew of events for every age range, from reading times to How To classes. I’ve also seen meet up events in the conference rooms. You can copy and print at the library for a small fee, too. Getting a library card is free and easy with a Texas ID. Returning your borrowed items is easy, too! There’s a drive up drop off as well as one inside. I don’t know if I’ll live in Lewisville for the remainder of my life but I know the library always makes me feel home.

Can’t say enough good things about this library. They have several storytimes which are all great. The ladies at the children’s desk and main desk are all helpful and friendly. I just started using the«hold» selection on the catalog website. I like the holds options and window pick up. Only con is that the computers are either slow or unavailable. For several months they were«Out of Order». But, it’s all FREE. My closest library is Denton but I can’t see paying $ 50 to use a library.

Great place to study. There are two levels. First level has a separate kids area. Which is GREAT! The second level is pretty quiet! Enough seating(tables and sofas). Plenty of study rooms(usually occupied by one person in each room — not cool). It does get slightly loud after school lets out around the area. So plan ahead and stay away from the teen area. But other than that, I have studied there through out college and loved it!

I love Public Libraries. Lewisville Public Library is awesome. It’s huge, it has a ton of books, its clean, its got a ton of parking, and it has a ton of space with lots of tables to work at and comfy chairs to sit in and read. If they don’t have what you want in their stock, they can get it for you with interlibrary loan. Also, they have a ton of electronic books and audiobooks that you can download to your digital divice such as an iPhone, iPad, iPod, Nook, Kindle, ect. LIBRARIESARETHECOOOOOOOLEST!

Story time Tuesday’s at 4:00 and 7:00 for preschool children. This is a great place to take kids for free. Throughout the summer they have various incentive programs to get kids to read. The library also offers family storytime, crafts, and lego time. The librarians are always helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. The facility is clean and orderly. There is a childrens area so the remainder of the library is pretty quiet. There are study rooms on the second level, but you have to arrive early if you want to get a room. The library also provides free WiFi. This is a great place.
