Just plain average all the way around for us. We came here for my husband’s birthday. The place wasn’t too busy, but it seemed like they had only one server for the entire restaurant working. That slowed things down tremendously.
I ordered two enchiladas. They came out at a fairly quick pace, but they were covered (and I do mean drenched!) in this pretty bad red sauce. That was a huge disappointment. It just tasted so canned and generic.
For my husband’s birthday, he got a bowl full of soggy fried ice cream. It was disgustingly chewy. I appreciate that we weren’t charged for it to begin with. It was a nice gesture. It just wasn’t very good.
I think we will continue to eat at other restaurants besides this one from now on.

For Mexican in West Virginia I suppose this is OK. Nothing outstanding at all and while service is prompt I found the food to be just passable and laden with too much cheese and somewhat greasy. I will be blunt: if you are looking for margaritas and nachos this will probably fit the bill and speaking of bills, the prices are pretty fair. The waitstaff and management are Mexican and I don’t doubt they know better, more authentic, Mexican cuisine but what they serve is probably what sells. Expect the other customers to be like three different young couples each with at least one screaming child plus a table of nurses’ aides for girls’ night out with their margaritas. It will be loud and the babies wont stop fussing for a minute.

Started off with the chips and salsa, and the chips are very fresh and the salsa tastes homemade. My wife ordered the Guadalajara special, & I ordered the steak fajitas. The service was fantastic, and the portions are huge. the food is excellent, and I’m kicking myself for not trying this place sooner! The place was very clean, and the décor was excellent. We got our bill and I was surprised at the reasonable prices here. I recommend!

The food was tasty. Portions were generous, so the amount of food was proportionate for the price. The service was good. The waiter came back and checked two or three times during the meal, which I like.

Pretty much your average Mexican joint. Food was good, prices were fair, portions were pretty big.
I had a taco/​burrito/​enchilada combo. Everything tasted almost exactly the same. I’m not saying it wasn’t good, it was. However, a little variation in the sauce or seasoning would be nice.
My guy had yhe chili relleno and he said it was very good, he liked the way they breaded it, and it was nice and cheesy.
Service was friendly and fast. I can see why it seems to be a popular spot, you can get in and out pretty quick, and get a good meal at a good price. Nothing to write home about — but good.

Extremely fast service and deliciously flavored food! The place was clean and the atmosphere felt like we were in an authentic restaurant in Mexico. Will definitely recommend to others and will be back again.

I was a little scared to try this place based on the incredibly low prices. However, the food was really good, and the service was great. I will definitely be back.

Tasty margeritas and great prices!

Carlitos is decent tex-​mex and the buffet is a great bargain. Large portions and strong drinks. Great for just hanging out and eating. Service is generally good and everyone is friendly.
The only negative is that the salsa is inconsistent in temp… ie mild some days and blazing hot the next.

I love this place! Food is consistent and plentiful for a good price… can’t beat it! The Patron margaritas are right on… Victor is awesome and always provides excellent service! Good people that make it a great experience, everytime.

Service is good. Portions generous. And piping hot. Salsa was really good and spicy.
Décor is tacky Mexican but ok. We enjoyed it and would go back when in the area.

Very fair pricing, especially considering the giant portions you get (I got a burrito, an enchilada and a taco for $ 7.25) and awesome service! We went here for dinner to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Since we had a pretty big group, we went in the back and just pulled a bunch of tables together.
We’d had a long day, so by the time we got here, we were pretty hungry, so we kept inhaling chips and salsa like there was no tomorrow.
Our server was super nice and very accommodating (especially considering that we kept changing seats and stuffs). They also came out and sang happy birthday to my friend and graced her with a giant cowboy hat. :D

I get the same thing every time I eat here. Burrito Superior and sizzling fajitas! Good stuff!
