Liquor stores are a magical gem in Leonia for one major reason: It’s a dry town. Yes, Virginia, they do still exist. This store is reasonably priced, though I think they actually do more business in another vice heavily in demand in this area: candy. Only two or three blocks down from the local middle school, this is a major stop for the kiddies walking home from school. God forbid you try to frequent any of the stores on Broad Ave around 2:30; you are practically guaranteed to be whacked with an overstuffed backpack. This place has earned my respect over the years, being one of the few storefronts in the town that has stayed the same over the last 20 years — a pretty difficult feat considering the constant parade of businesses through there.
