Sales associates are like roving concierges! You cannot walk more than a few feet without someone asking to assist you. They are patient, especially with those not expert at their need. Prices are better than anywhere. Period. It is my favorite toy store and always a pleasant experience.

Nancy is quite possibly the best cashier I have ever interacted with in any situation.

Contact not necessary. Already installed. Just tune the saw so others don’t get cuts on the bias. New review, I used to like HD but it is getting harder by the day. I ordered a replacement glass panel for a storm door. Good price and decent delivery time to the store. The store called two days ago to let me know it was in and I went to the Leominster store to pick it up. I waited for over an hour while they searched, and no one could find my order!

I have been going to Home Depot for years as a homeowner and felt their customer service was pretty much hit or miss. If you got a day that someone with some personal integrity was walking around and wanted to help you, it was a good day and if not, you were pretty much left to your own devices or wait literally ½ hour or more for help. I started going to Lowes instead and pretty much stuck there until recently. I have stopped into Home Depot 10 – 15 times over the last month to pick up items for a little renovating we are doing and I was pleasantly surprised that there seems to be a genuine holistic change in the customer service at this Home Depot. Every time I have gone in, I have been approached several times to ask if I needed assistance and staff seemed to very abundant and visible. I can remember just a year or two ago wandering aisles aimlessly looking for help and eye contact with anyone within 50 feet made them look like a cornered animal. Now, they actually come up to you and ask you if you have any questions or need assistance. I can’t tell you how refreshing this is and how happy it makes me as a customer! I want to do cartwheels down the lumber aisle! The staff all look very happy too… not the overworked and underpaid wretches they did just a short time ago. I say keep doing whatever it is you are doing and please keep the happy pills flowing! This customer loves it! The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because they still have the pushy product or upsell sales pitch people posted at the front entrance and the annoying little person running around asking how old the windows are in your house or if you’re in need of new siding or did you know about xyz promo of the week. Get rid of this element and they would pretty much be golden.

Home Depot has always been my go-to hardware store, and now that I’m in the Fitchburg/Leominster area, I’ve visited the location on Commercial Road a few times. The long and short is that I’ve experienced much better customer service at other locations, and this location really needs to learn how to work with customers. I stopped by a couple of weeks ago to check out LED lighting, and I was happy to see an end cap display, complete with a lamp showing an example of one of the bulbs. Since the lamp was higher than my reach, I couldn’t tell if they were using an example of a 40-watt or 65-watt equivalent bulb, so I asked the customer service person for some help. I felt like I was asking the world of her as it seemed to take all of her will and energy to call for an associate. When the associate called her back, she told me that s/he was with another customer and s/he would be with me as soon as possible. I stood by the display and waited for about 10 minutes and finally left. I went again yesterday to pick up a replacement nut, but was having trouble finding where they kept them. At least three employees walked by me without addressing me, and when I finally checked out, I walked right by an employee who only said, «Have a nice day,» when I was halfway out the door, which was a good 10 – 15 feet away from where I walked by her. Her saying that was nice, don’t get me wrong, but after being ignored by three other associates I felt that this store’s customer service was just as bad as the last visit. Honestly, I drive by at least three Aubuchons on the way home from work, so I’m probably going to skip Home Depot and put my money back into a local business.

This has to be the worst for customer service, and rush orders! I entered a online order and expedited HOWEVER one day means they have a 3 day processing time and then the one day shipment. You call customer service and they can’t see a thing. Seriously I would rather deal with Lowe’s going forward.

Home Depot has a new service where they scan your items in your cart and then give you a card with your total(like a gift card) while you are in line so when you get to the checkout you just give the card to the checkout girl(guy) and they scan it and you pay. Makes things move much smoother when they’re busy… Great job Home Depot!

This review pretty much applies to all the other Home Depot stores I been to. They are great when it comes to self service, but try to get help — good help or any help — and its lacking. Long story short, we bought a new french door fridge from them after running around all day during sales tax holiday looking at refrigerators. We gave the sales guy the measurements to the space that the new fridge needed to fit into, and he said yes, it will definitely fit. Lo and behold, it is delivered and it doesn’t fit. We ended up having to call up some local carpenters looking for help to shorten some cabinetry above the fridge. Well, thanks a lot HD(not)!
