I’ve done a lot of karaōke in my day, and Rumpy’s runs with the big dogs. Super friendly crowd, best lighting, and there’s a freakin’ fog machine. There’s def a lot of regulars, but everyone is welcome. Big ups to the DJ Laurie and Dirty Bob.

Bartender was awesome! Such an awesome, secluded, fun to find off the beating path place. Karaōke night with the locals and had so much fun with characters like«dirty bob». Highly recommend it to get a taste of Lenox.

I LOVEITHERE. Jessie, the bartender, is also a pianist and magician extraordinaire. He kept our drinks strong and filled, had jokes, and is officially my favorite bartender of all time. We happened to stumble upon this bar on a Tuesday which was trivia night. Two teams tied and the tie breaker was a mothafcking ARMWRESTLINGMATCH. Best. Bar. Ever. AND that night was extra special because the bar snack was cheesy poofs instead of regular popcorn, whaaaat. Can’t wait to come back and visit Jessie again! We closed out the bar that night with him giving us a private magic show. We almost decided to just drink at the hotel that night, but we’re both so glad we found our way to Rumpy’s. I also don’t remember how we got back to the hotel so that’s always a good sign.

Jeff, the current host, makes Trivia Night on Tuesdays too much fun. Jesse, the bartender, is tops and makes terrific cocktails, plus runs back and forth to fill up your popcorn bowl [gratis]. Only downer is no food on Tuesdays, but you can order in from two local places [menus available]. or bring food with you.

Very fun place, and definitely not what you would expect to see in Lenox(or the Berkshires in general). Generous pours, excellent service and lots of local color in a dark, basement-like atmosphere. While not quite kitsch-y per se, lava lamps, an abundance of fake florals and a Valentine’s Day-themed bathroom make up the place. It seems that this is a favorite for the locals who partake in karaōke(some of which actually sing well). Stop by this place after dinner!

Rumpy’s was cozy, warm and romantic. I came here for a few drinks before going to the restaurant, and had a wonderful experience. The bartender distributes warm popcorn to each of the patrons(a wonderful drinking snack) and there was a fire playing on the tv. The backround jazz music created the perfect finishing touch for a glorious pre-dinner glass of wine atmosphere. Certainly recommend coming here!

World’s best bartender! Okay, maybe not – we were joking with him about that, nice guy and makes mean margarita. A cozy little bar with some live music. A little dark as it’s in a basement.

Definitely a place for the locals. A dark but friendly ambiance with helpful people.
