Eclipse is so amazing and they always make you feel incredibly comfortable. My hair stylist, Bethany, is the best stylist I’ve ever had. She never lets me leave unsatisfied and it is uncommonly easy to communicate with her! I never feel nervous about telling her I’m not totally satisfied about something, and she seems to have a sixth sense about knowing exactly what I want when I walk in and give her even just a short description. I definitely recommend eclipse, and if you end up making an appointment, ask for Bethany!

I cannot say enough about this salon. My stylist, Paula, is great with curly hair and fun to talk to while I’m there. She’s super helpful with cut and color suggestions as well as styling tips. The entire staff at Eclipse makes you feel welcome, and the support staff is amazing! I’ve had to reschedule appointments and they always manage to get me rescheduled quickly. Hannah, Leah and Kat always seem to go above and beyond to keep the customers happy.

Excellent first time experience at Eclipse Salon. Everyone was professional but very personable and sweet. They offered refreshments while waiting. Didn’t wait long and I was early. Johnnie O was my stylist and I was so tickled with the results! I was trying to grow my hair out and was trimming my bangs myself so my hair was a mess. He listened to what I said I wanted and the results were fantastic. He really did exactly what I asked for. I appreciate that. Excellent service from everyone there. I am so glad my friend, referred Eclipse to me.

Why is it you never miss a good thing until you can’t have it anymore? I was trying to figure out my next hair style when I started reminiscing about Eclipse and realized I forgot to update my review. This is so late in the coming but no less sincere. I went to Johnny O. after Paula left. He gave an amazing cut. You know it’s a good cut when it grows out well. Great conversationalist and hair styling pro. He cut my hair perfectly. I miss reasonably priced stylists who make your hair look great. sigh.

An update to an update: I scheduled a second hair cut the day of my first, it was supposed to have happened yesterday. I confirmed the appointment over the weekend and was informed about an hour prior to my schuled cut that Jim would need to move my appointment to later this week. The excuse the receptionist gave was that his current customer«had longer hair than they thought.» — I’m not kidding. I was not available later in the week and really needed a hair cut so I ignored the ridiculousness of the excuse and asked how far behind schedule Jim was, to which the receptionist replied«45 minutes to an hour.» I proposed that I come in an hour after my scheduled appointment. The receptionist then changed her story and told me that I could not be fit in until two hours after my scheduled appointment. This told me that either A) the salon is lying about why Jim is behind schedule, or B) that they were trying to bump me from my time slot so they could accomodate someone else. Neither scenario is one that any customer would appreciate. I voiced my annoyance and displeasure. You would think that a business would offer some kind of a discount for this sort of inconvenience, but their only attempt to reconcile the situation was a simple«sorry.» Needless to say I will not be going back to eclipse, I will not recommend it to anyone and to be quite frank, I regret attempting to bolster their Unilocal status with my prior review. So long Eclipse Salon, keep pouring customers complimentary glasses of wine and scheduling their next appointment immediately after, getting them drunk is probably the only way you’ll keep them around.

I didn’t really care for how the owner treats his employees. His work also didnt reflect his high opinion of himself.

I used to really enjoy Eclipse but the 2 last times one side of my haircut was so much shorter than the other. So– regretfully, I can’t take that chance again and will be searching for a new salong, which I’m not looking forward to.

I went for a cut and color after reading the other reviews. I was very pleased. All the staff was friendly and offered me something to drink and mags to check out style. Jim was my stylist. He did a fantastic job with my color. It looks completely natural and he gave me a stylish cut. My husband also loved the new style. The next day I was able to style it pretty close. I will definitely be back. I found the prices to be comparable to other salons I have been to in the area. Highly recommend

Professional, affordable, friendly and über talented. I love Eclipse Salon. I started seeing Johnny O in 2007 and have been a loyal customer ever since. He is an amazing stylist, fantastic with color. I always get rave reviews from collegues and friends regarding my color after he does it, even up to a month or more after! Also, John and his wife Kelly who also works there are so friendly! They take the time to really get to know all of the clients and what their clients interests are. They are some of the nicest people I’ve met since moving to Central PA. If you are looking for a new salon please do yourself a favor and check out Eclipse in Lemoyne. They are wonderful, talented professionals and you’ll stick with them. Trust me!

So I’m new to Central PA and you all know how nerve-wracking it can be to find a new hair stylist. So I searched and searched for a well-reviewed stylist and couldn’t find a good recommendation anywhere. I ended up at Eclipse simply by chance, and in the end I got a fabulous haircut and multi-dimensional color(that was better than I asked for) and a fantastic new friend all from Johnny O, my Eclipse stylist. Ladies, you need to go see Johnny. Not only does he look like a mix between Keith Urban and Billy Ray Cyrus, and plays in a band in his free time, best of all he knows his way around a head of hair. I came in with long ash-blonde hair asking for a new do that had some more style to it(with pictures of celeb hair I admire of course). I asked him to just match my highlights with the ones I got 4 months before and were way overgrown but instead he suggested a multi-tonal mix of colors that would look more natural and would blend with my natural color much better during grow-out(think Jennifer Aniston color– I mean who can say no to that??) Just as he said the color was great. The cut I was a little nervous about as he went in for the blow dry, but he promised he would work some more«witchcraft» after it was dry. And sure enough, he did. My hair is relatively thin, but the thing is I have a LOT of it and Johnny spent half an hour perfecting the cut and thinning out the bottom to give me a perfect short bob shape. Most stylists reserve the thinning for girls with thick or wavy hair, but Johnny worked his magic on me and it looks great. The salon itself was perhaps a bit 80’s fab, with some pastel colors and crazy shaped mirrors straight out of Saved by the Bell. BUT the service was excellent and I enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine during the appointment. In total, it took about 2.5 hrs for the full transformation(about normal for a major cut and color) and I thought the prices were decent(not the cheapest ever but not astronomical and I’m willing to invest a bit in a worthy hair service). In total I paid 45 for the cut and 95 for the color, which is about average among their price range at Eclipse. Take my word for it, you will not be disappointed with Johnny O. Since it was hard to find a good review, I hope others will benefit from this one. Go see him and tell him KATY from Colorado sent you. You won’t regret it.

It’s a nice establishment, everyone is friendly and they don’t talk in a condescending manner towards their clients like some salons do. They serve you a drink of choice before you get cut… wine, water…(I’ve never chosen wine). I’ve gone several times… but, they’re pricey.(And the prices just went up in December) Sure, they’re trained to cut hair better than say… Cost Cutters… but 45.00 is a LOT to pay for a hair cut. I had an appointment scheduled 2 weeks later to get my hair colored – $ 55.00 for my hair to be colored! Sure, it lasted longer than box dye and she did a good job. I found out after she combed it out, that if I wanted her to dry it for me, it would be another 20.00(styling charge). I’ve heard of other salons doing this, but come on… this isn’t NYC. This freaking LEMOYNE. So, I left the salon in January… with wet hair. Well, needless to say, that’s the last time I’m going there… I need to find some place that’s a little cheaper, but still does a good job. So, if you have a good paying job, and can afford higher prices for your hair to get cut and all that stuff… they’re a good salon. I just don’t think they’re good enough to charge THAT much…
