I am soo happy i took my guitar to get fixed here. Support your local shops. They charged a very affordable price. My tuner peg had broken off and for this reason had not played my guitar in a long while. They changed the peg plus re did my strings and sanded down my bridge saddle. It was way too high it was nearly impossible to play high notes. Now its way more comfortable to play and the strings are much lower. I appreciate they correctly stringing of my guitar.

A Pignose G40v 40 watt combo amp needed some work. I was referred by another music store to Billy Mitchell, the amp/​all things electrical tech at Mr. Joey’s Music. They gave me a very reasonable price range for what I wanted done, and I brought the amp in. It was ready in one day, the price was lower than quoted, all work was done carefully and well. The owners and Billy were very informative, friendly, and cordial. Really good guys and a good shop. I’m very happy to find a place like this so close to where I live (College area/​Rolando). Thanks, guys.

Good place to get material to play music. Got some stuff that fixed up my violin. I want to keep going for my materials

Stopped by on Monday to have a key repaired and guitar restrung for my son. Even though theybwere closed to took in the guitar. Came back next morning and guitar was better than new. Definite recommendation.

Mr. Joeys Music store in Lemon Grove has some good bass gear and great prices, but he has a high turn around on everything that is in the store and stuff comes in and goes out all the time, so you never know what you will find there also it is a small store so if you do not see what you are looking for just ask because he will probably have something stored away in the back. Joey is also more then fair if you bring in gear to sell, and he gives the most for trade in value towards other gear IMHO. If Joey does not have it, but you let him know what you are looking for he’ll call you when he comes across it just ask and he will usually get back to you in a couple weeks because he knows people, a lot of people who are looking or who have gear.

This place is awesome! I just purchased my first guitar yesterday from craigslist. I snapped several strings in the process of trying to tune. I went to Mr. Joey’s today to purchase new strings and as soon as I walked in the door he greeted me the way customers are supposed to be greeted. He not only replaced the strings that needed replacing and tuned it for me but he also cleaned and lubricated the guitar to where now it looks brand new. I tried to give a tip for the amount of time he spent with me and my guitar but he would only take the price of the strings. It’s not very often you find a business that gives great customer service like Mr. Joey’s. He offers hour long weekly lessons at an incredible rate. This place is definitely worth checking out. Joey is a down to earth guy who truly enjoy the guitar as much as he does. I will be a repeat customer.

I have nothing but good things to say about Mr. Joey’s Music Shop and more specifically about the owners Joey and Eddie. You will be hard pressed to find a cooler pair of guys to buy your music stuff from. They are very knowledgable and can give some great recommendations. They’ve helped me many times getting ideas for what would be the right item for me and have never let me down when it comes to prices! They are musicians themselves so they know what its like to be on the other end of the transaction. This shop is new, so I decided to check it out and see what’s in store. The owner and staff are very customer oriented, which is such a bonus after dealing with Gtr Ctr. These cats live for music and I can appreciate that as well.
I went in to check out basses and they had some unique items; a bass for the traveler, a stand up bass, which i had to try. They’re looking to get a 6 str. fretless for me to try out based upon what I’ve owned/​used. Nonetheless, I look forward to giving these guys my business.
