Worst barber experience ever! Went in today an hour before closing for a quick line up and when I went to show the barber a picture of what I wanted he quickly assured me he understood what I wanted. All I wanted was a beard trim and line up, he was rushing the whole thing and missed so much hair and had to ask him to do simple things like trim my mustache when that should already be common knowledge. He did a half ass job and I’m at a different barber as I write this because I didn’t want anyone else to see what a bad cut he did. Horrible. Will never go back again.

Hands down the best haircut in Lemon Grove. Visited the competition and they don’t compare! Hahn’s(David) used to cut my hair, but his side antics(like talking too much and not paying attention to my needs allowed me to experience Chuy). Would recommend this first class barber shop to all!

If I had to write only one word to review my experience at Chuy’s this past March, it would«mediocre». Being new to the area, I stopped in because of the location. As a new walk-in customer, I must say I was greeted with an abundance of apathy. After a 20 minute wait, received a run-of-the-mill buzz haircut. The cut was not that bad, but I couldn’t wait to get out of the place… just a vibe. I knew nothing of the Chuy’s/Hahn’s situation prior to visiting. I wish I had consulted Unilocal before. Lesson learned. BTW, have since visited Hahn’s and have found my new barber! See my review for them.

Went to this shop a while back. Pretty sure it was right after it became Chuy’s from whatever it was before. I stopped in for a quick trim after having breakfast at one of the restaurants in the strip mall. The«barber» spent most of the haircut on his cell phone talking with what seemed like a friend of his. When not talking on the phone, the cut was a bit rough for my liking and the final result a bit less than desirable. Not sure what else one could expect when the person cutting your hair was barely paying attention when you told him what you wanted and spent most of the time on the cell phone. While I was getting my hair hack(reluctant to call it a cut), UNIVISION television was blasting through the shop. This proved to be pretty distracting and annoying throughout the course of the hair hack. It doesn’t have anything to do with the final cut, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Located where the old Hahn’s Barber Shop resided, Chuy opened up shop once David left or sold it to him. Not too sure how it happened, but that’s fodder. I knew Chuy from his days of working with David, both were friendly people that know their trade. Being that I used to drive from Fashion/Mission Valley to Lemon Grove to get a hair cut should be a testament to that. I preferred Chuy cutting my hair, not due to quality, as both did a good job, as previously mentioned, but I seemed to hit it off with him more than David. Clean, well organized shop for your basic fade hair cut. Uhm, yes, I did make it a point to stop here during my recent trip to San Diego…
