In the on-going saga that my medical issues have become, I have once again needed services from a home health agency. From the beginning, Actual Care has been fantastic. The regular nurse really cares about my situation and has helped advocate for doctors to get things done when I’m not being listened to. I have not been restricted to my home and unable to leave as I was with the other agency, and this group does not care if I continue to see my regular physicians. The group has understood that I needed to work, which results in some late hours, but they have also been flexible enough to let me meet up with a friend from out of town that I do not get to see very often. When you are sick, little things like going out with friends or being able to work make a huge difference in mental health. I am always able to reach the nurse who comes to my home when there is an issue, and she has come to my house a few times that she wasn’t scheduled because the bandages leaked or came apart. I think, most importantly, the company listens to me and follows orders from the doctor. I have needed their services 3 times since November 2011, and chosen to go back to Actual Care each time. I have also recommended them to the doctor’s offices and will continue to do so.
