I try to buy local whenever I can and it is a pleasure to do business with John and his staff at Legacy. Over the years I have bought several guitars including an American Standard Stratocaster and most recently a Taylor 324. I have also bought amps, effects, strings and accessories galore. I have always been treated well and found the prices of their gear very competitive and their service outstanding. As a long time musician it is great to have a local honest and reputable place to do business with. Thanks John.

They have some pretty good stuff at Legacy plus decent prices and the staff is usually pretty helpful BUT don’t bring your guitar there to be fixed… they send it out to some guy. I met the guy and talked with him, told him to do whatever neede to be done(I think I needed new pots + little stuff like that?) I waited about a week to get the guitar back paid for it and It sounds like crap still. the SAME exact problem that I brought it in for. They charged me like 25 bucks to do basicly nothing.

I bought both of my acoustic guitars at Legacy Music(when they were located in downtown Lee’s Summit). Though they have a new location, they have the same great service and selection. Even if there were another music store I knew about near here I would still shop at Legacy; the staff are always welcoming, helpful, and very down to earth. I’ll be a customer here as long as I remain in this area, and I will miss it sorely if I have to go somewhere else.
