I wouldn’t say that their donuts are any better than you can get at the local grocery store… well maybe slightly better. They have a good variety and the prices are just about right. I came from Portland Oregon which has one of the best speciality donut places called Voodoo Donuts so it’s going to be hard to find a replacement. Having said all that, Lemar’s still satisfied my donut craving and I’ll probably go back.

Wide selection of donuts(that are soooo good), store is a bit small. Otherwise it’s just a cute place to get some donuts early in the morning.

You wouldn’t believe it by the location but this Lamar’s Donut Shop does one heck of a lot of business. Located on an outer belt road on the east side of 291HWY, this is the go to shop for donuts in Greenwood, MO. On Sunday morning get there early to beat the rush! Usually sold out by noon!

This particular Lamar’s franchise location is not as good as the one in Blue Springs, and pales in comparison to the original downtown. Their selection and quality is consistently average, so you’ll know what to expect each time you visit. Or perhaps they’re simply trying to lull us into a false sense of security, and then one day they’ll unveil unveil a brand new chocolate long john filled with ground beef. Safe bets include the standard glazed, lemon-filled, blueberry cake, and crème-filled long johns. Do NOTUNDERANYCIRCUMSTANCES order the white fluff-filled long johns! Each one of those contains enough sugar to disintegrate every single diabetic who has ever lived. I don’t know what«white fluff» is; I couldn’t even find it on the periodic table. Perhaps it’s the antagonist from the 1985 Hollywood blockbuster, «The Stuff.»
