I wish I would have read the reviews on here before starting to go to this practice. I can’t agree enough! This place is more focused on MONEY than patient care. I had a growth on my nose and the NP was being patient to figure out what it was so it took several trips to the office to get the right routine lined up. She finally decided to freeze the growth on my last visit and she told me that there would be no charge for this visit which was very helpful becuase the fees were adding up! I think she felt bad because she could have froze it off during the last appt. While I was walking out I asked the MA if she was going to ask the front desk to pull my co-pay of if I should. She said she would. A couple of weeks passed and I had a $ 30 charge on my card(my co pay is $ 35). I called billing and said to check my records because the NP said there would be no charge for the visit. The lady was very rude to me and told me that the NP doesn’t have the authority to make those kinds of claims and that the charge will not be refunded. I was livid, but what else can I do? Now, weeks after that whole fiasco. I just got a bill for $ 5 since they ran my card for $ 30 instead of $ 35. UNBELIVEABLE. I will pay it and move on. BUT, I have a VERY loud mouth and I won’t EVER shut up about the awful treatment I have recieved from the billing department at Dermatolgy and Skin Cancer Center. AWFULAWFULAWFUL. STAYAWAY. There are TONS of Dermatolgy offices in the KC Metro area. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

They disappear with your credit card for up to 15 minutes. Not patient oriented. Money oriented.

I have taken my daughter to this office 4 times over the last 2 years. I find the office staff aloof on their best day. They are never happy to see you. Appointments are overbooked. Usual delay has been 50 mins. Requires credit card number on file and permission to charge at will, which I can understand. However, the aggressive language in the contract left me feeling accused of dodging payment before one was due! We liked the doctor we saw. She made it worth putting up with the front office and miserably long waits. However she has moved on, so no reason to put up with the negative vibe here. We are moving on.
