Not sure about those folks who’ve experienced rude owners or burned scalp, so can only speak to my experience with Samantha. I moved to the area, looking for someone to cut men’s hair. This place fit nicely on my commute. And, while I’m picky about my hair, I’m willing to try a place once(because, given a week, a bad hair cut is pretty easily solved. «It always grows back,» especially when keeping it relatively short). Having said that, if the stylist butchers my hair, I won’t return, even if it’s literally half way between the office and home(which, short of skipping out of work for a lunchtime appointment, is about as good as it gets, I think). So, ideal location aside, I’ve returned here because Samantha did such a fantastic job. Could not be happier with the men’s haircuts, cost($ 30), or quality of service. Booking on the website makes it easy to get an appointment, as well. Why not a fifth star, then, you ask? Because while solid, the service/atmosphere here isn’t to the standard of The Grooming Lounge(how I miss living in DC)… But for rural NJ, can’t imagine much better.
