The Mechanic

I used to believe that «honest car repairman» was an oxymoron! Not so in the case of The Mechanic owner, Ryan Stoy! Ryan personally took care of our truck’s needs and the cost was very fair! He is honest, trustworthy and reliable! It feels so good to be able to say that about a car repairman! We have searched for a long time for someone we could take our vehicles to and not be afraid that we were getting totally screwed! I highly recommend Ryan for your automotive needs from oil changes, to electrical issues, to major overhauls!!! I appreciate the care we received and the polite and kind way I was treated! Great job, Ryan! (They are in Leander on Crystal Falls Pkwy — worth the drive if you live in Austin or Cedar Park)

Ryan — The Mechanic — is AWESOME! He is transparent in his work, communicates EVERYTHING very clearly — what needs to be done, what can wait, and breaks everything down for you. He will SHOW you what needs to be done and why. He is a very nice and genuine person too which is a plus when dealing with a mechanic. I can NOT recommend him more. 10 stars! It is clear he is passionate and loves what he does. If you don’t know much about cars –you will learn something at The Mechanic! AND HE DOES NOT TALK DOWN TO WOMEN — which is a huge plus. He treated me as a valued customer, which is what everyone wants. If you want excellent work, to know what is actually being done to your car and walk out with an education about your vehicle this is the place to go in Leander — and it would be worth the drive from anywhere in the Austin area. Had work done on my old F150. Charges reasonable rates. He did awesome work! Great service! Explained everything that needed to be done before completing the the work. Will definitely use him again in the future.
