Love this place! Great food and the chef is both friendly and helpful answering questions about the ingredients. I would love to give this place 5 stars, but the atmosphere is lacking and needs a make-over. The décor was not at all inviting.

Yum Yum Yummmm. My husband and I were participating in our first Whole 30 but needed a break from cooking and eating at home so I looked up places on Unilocal, not expecting to find much. I was so excited to find this place! And so close(I live in clear lake)! We had BBQ wild hog and beef & sausage meatballs with zucchini«noodles», sweet potatoes, cilantro slaw and the real star of the show — fried green tomatoes. Yes! I know the rules for Whole 30, and no I’m not sorry. We even had the caramel chocolate chip cake for dessert and savored every bite. The chef was even very friendly and willing to answer all of my questions about how he worked his magic, and what to do with cow tongue. We will definitely be back!

This place was some of the best home cooked food I have had at a restaurant! Very clean and the owner and chef were both super friendly! I will be back for sure! Had the roasted chicken and beef stroganoff. All the sides are perfect!

My review is not of the food, it may be great, but sadly I will never know. The reason for the low rating is that my daughter and I went to eat lunch there one day, after reading all the rave reviews. She is more of a particular eater than I am, so when we walked up to the counter and saw the EXTREMELYLIMITED menu, we asked if this is all they have(again, we had never been). The woman behind the counter was RUDE! She looked at us like we just insulted her kids or something … and said«yeah that’s it». Um, excuse you … we had never been and it’s a valid question, one which doesn’t require a snappy attitude. We turned around and walked out without saying another word. I love supporting local businesses, but I can guarantee you this will not be one of them.

The food in this place is delicious! I had chicken, sweet potatoes and carrots it was the best! I will definitely be back! Note: went back other times and the Only one thing I don’t like that much is that food is a bit greasy but… still home made… kinda healthy ?! ;)

This place was delicious. It felt like eating in grandma’s kitchen. I had hamburger steak, sweet potato curls, and green beans with banana cake for dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious.

We started buying the prepared meals a few weeks before we had our first child so that we had easy, healthy meals. He’s now 7 weeks old and we are still ordering 10 a week! They are so good and the portions are great for lunch or a light dinner. They also do a great job of mixing up the menu, we’ve yet to have a repeated meal!

Wonderful food, generous portions, friendly and helpful staff. Although marketed as paleo, it’s just simple, whole food done well.

Went here for lunch with some co-workers and had a great time. there were a handful of people in the place, which suggested the promise of good food. They serve 3rd Coast brewed Kombucha, which is a big A+ in my book. Also the rotating lunch menu is great, because is keeps it interesting. Everything was fresh and the service was also great. I had the Thai Chicken salad, with a feta and cucumber salad. Portions were generous and the staff more than wiling to spend time with us hashing out the menu, and helping us make delicious lunch choices. Wish they were open for dinner! But love that I can buy their frozen prepared meals.

As a health educator this is not a good example of a paleo diet. The food here is very«home cooking» which is not to say it’s not good. Actually it is good, however their idea of paleo is very small portions and no starches or carbohydrates. I will agree that starch and carbs need to be low, if not nonexistent, however there are no other substitutes(on the menu I was presented) I’m sure the menu has changed. I give this place two stars as a paleo restaurant, but as a healthy family restaurant, hands down it’s 5 stars!

Great place to eat, especially if you want something healthier than the typical restaurant. They give a nice selection of options each day to choose from. They also offer kombucha, which is an interesting drink to try. Today I am having smothered chicken, green beans and fried cabbage. It is a very nice lunch indeed.

I have been eating organic, low carb, paleo for nearly three years and was extremely disappointed! Prices were very high for quality and quantity. Food came to our table within 2 – 3 minutes. It was over cooked, tepid and lack luster. The seasoning and flavor were not impressive. The natural flavor of the food was the only saving grace. The kombucha was enjoyable but my other half said the tea tasted instant and sour. They had regular sugar and Truvia. Atmosphere was cluttered and unkept and décor was like a grandmothers house, and not in a good way. Won’t be back!

Meh, I feel the portions were EXTREMELY small. There wasn’t even enough to share with me and my toddler. After getting the meal I purchased an extra side and it was 4.79! For about ½ a cup of veg. Putting me at over $ 20 for one person to eat after tip. I’m a personal chef so I know how expensive organic groceries are but this was beyond. I feel like I got completely ripped off. The flavor of the creamed cauliflower was good. The spinach was WAY over salted. My portion of roast chicken was less then half a breast and one wing. :(Seriously I feel like I just got robbed.

Have dined here twice now and really pleased with the menu as well as cleanliness of the restaurant. Entrees are prepared on a daily basis; we’ve enjoyed several of the selections. Roast beef was excellent as was the carrot soufflé and cauliflower side. The décor is casual, relaxed. At times, the wait can be a bit longer, though staff is always pleasant. Healthy & tasty!

If you’re looking for healthy, guilt-free delicious southern comfort food, this is the place. The drive from downtown Houston to League City for P in P was totally worth it. The food was delicious and completely paleo, which of course meant that my boyfriend and I didn’t have to worry about any of his severe allergies to emerge. Jeanette was very friendly and open to chatting about the paleo lifestyle and Crossfitting among other things. We had the Chicken Soup which tastes just like home, the Chicken in Salsa Roja which has a great flavor and even the non-paleo/non-healthy ‘oh my goodness did you say that wasn’t Whataburger?’ kiddos that were with us enjoyed(HUGE for us) and finally, I had the Smothered Chicken which was GREAT! Oh, and we had dessert too! WINNER!!!

Great to see a paleo restaurant! Everything was delicious and you can’t beat the price… $ 8.99 for an entrée and two sides. I opted for the italian sausage ratatouille with greens and sweet potato curls. The sweet potato curls were just the right doneness(not mushy) and seasoned with either allspice or clove. These would make a great sweet potato pie substitute at Thanksgiving! They also serve kombucha from 3rd Coast Kombucha. Ambience is country/quaint, not fancy. Finally a place where I can have anything on the menu! Too bad they’re only open for lunch.

This is seriously good for the price. Lunch for under $ 10 with large servings of tasty food. I had the chili, which is a challenge as I have judged major chili cook-offs over the years, and this one tasted well balanced despite the illicit carrots. The bowl of chicken soup was enormous and had plenty of meat, and the noodles in it were made of daikon radish, a wonderful touch. The coleslaw would be a challenge for a lot of people, without the ubiquitous mayo, but it was obviously homemade and distinctive. Overall a nice little café, simple décor and a demonstrably good cook. I don’t care about the paleo, I am still trying to pin that definition down and it is slippery, but value for money and the quality of the food, makes this a must when you want an inexpensive and healthy lunch alternative in the land of toxic burgers.

How does this place not have a review yet? So glad to find delicious(and inexpensive!) lunch place that is gluten-free, sugar-free, and dairy-free. This new, little restaurant was opened by a woman that knows how to cook! Every time I stop in, she is there cooking and serving food. Her lunch costs 8.99 and comes with one protein and two sides. The first time I went, I had moroccan-flavored beef served in half an acorn squash. The squash was literally the bowl, so cute! It was delicious. For my sides I had an apple-walnut salad and kale with garlic — both were very good. Not covered in butter, or cheese, or sauce, etc. I’ve eaten here three times and I always leave stuffed, and not carb-loaded.
