Stopped by to check out this shop after visiting Antique Archaeology. I liked that it was in an old home, it was cool to walk from room to room. With the exception of a few antique and art pieces the shop had fairly average jewelery and women’s clothing, similar to merchandise I’ve seen in other «trendy» shops. The woman working there was very nice, it is worth a look around, the overall style of the place is neat.

Super cute stuff! I felt like I walked into a physical representation of pinterest. After going to Antique Archaeology, I felt like it was a nice compliment to it as Antique Archaeology has more manly items displayed and this is more feminine. Some truly beautiful items displayed.

There are cute-​looking little shops like this all over the country, and I’m so sick of popping into them only to find overpriced junk and employees who act like you’re bothering them by being in the store.

AKA the holy freakin’ trinity of vintage shops!!!
I loved going from room to room in this old house to check out all the jewelry and clothing. The employees were super helpful and happy to offer information about the origins of everything. There was a mix of vintage and newer things, as well as some stuff (like the cute necklace I bought) that Danielle designs.
It was pretty funny to hear the girls working at Antique Archaeology tell some shoppers who asked that Danielle wasn’t there because she was away. «If she was in town, she’d definitely be here,» said one employee. Did they really not think she’d be right across the street in her own shop? Cuz she was.

I visited Danielle’s store today and I was pleased with the aesthetics. The interior is vintage/​antique and overall eclectic. It’s in an old home across the street from Antique Archaeology. I bought a vintage dress which was priced at $ 24 but the girl at the counter gave it to me for $ 20. The prices are for the most part retail, but I was happy with my discount. Worth the visit.

4 Miles 2 Memphis grand opening was December 3, 2011 (also Danielle Colby’s birthday). The place is located in a two-​story home on the corner of Davenport Street and 2^nd. The shop could be described as an Eclectic, Vintage, Country, Victorian art — photography, apparel, fine art — experience. The shop is located at 303 South 2^nd Street in LeClaire Iowa, right next to Antique Archaeology and just one block off the main street (Cody Road). The hours are 10 a.m. — 5:00 p.m., 7 days a week. The shop owner and local artist Danielle Colby whom is best known for co-​starring on the History Channel reality television show American Pickers.
