Papa’s Pizza to go

I like restaurants with no reviews. Sure, people shy away from them because they don’t know what they’ll get, but that’s half the fun! So when I stumbled across Papa’s Pizza to go, I figured why not?
I walked up and noticed their combo lunch deals posted outside, and the one that caught my eye was the 7 inch cheese or peperoni pizza along with a side order of fries and a can soda all for $ 4.99.
Staff was super cool, and I was told that they’d been open only for a couple of months and they were very friendly, offering me incentives to come back, like a free order of breadsticks with my next order. Very nice!
Deciding on the peperoni, I bit in and noted the really cheesy taste. Very flavorful and there wasn’t this overpowering taste of salt that comes with peperoni pizzas. Also, while you’re going to have some grease with a pizza, my tongue wasn’t coated with it. The 7″ single pizza definitely hit the spot as far as lunch goes. The fries were curly fries, preseasoned, and they were just okay. The star of the meal though, was definitely the pizza, as it should be.
Papa’s is geared towards the takeaway fan. There’s one small table and a bench inside for sitting, and while there is a clean restroom, there isn’t a mirror in there, so do your primping elsewhere.
All in all, I really want this place to do well. Really friendly staff, decent product and (for me), good location. They also deliver as well.
