Newks was a surprising treat. I had the turkey sandwich and Cobb salad. The bread was delicious and toasted perfectly. The Cobb salad was HUGE. My children had the grilled chicken sandwich and raved. This place has a small but cute condiments section with fresh parmesan, sweet butter pickles, siracha hot sauce, salt and pepper grinders and more. They are even smart enough to have take out containers sitting out for you. That’s an obvious sign they give you large portions. I found it to be a cute lunch date spot. Maybe not a dinner date but definitely great for lunch. I enjoyed their vast menu choices and know I will return soon!

I’ve been here over 30 times and literally never had a bad meal. I’ve tried a few things on the menu too. The pimento bacon mac and cheese is addictingly amazing. I swear everytime I go in there (once about every other week) there’s an entire new staff lol. Menu is maybe a bit too pricey but not enough to deter you from going. It’s become our family’s go to restaurant when we want to go out to eat without dealing with the large restaurant chains.

I’ve came here several times and have been happy each time I’ve came. They have an array of selections to choose from! I am biased towards warm sandwiches, so they are super delicious! Oh, and the mac n’ cheese… yum!!! :D I’m certainly planning on coming here again and again! I am definitely a fan! :D

All the stuff I like the most is on the catering only menu which really sucks!!! The pimento cheese bread and especially the shrimp salad pasta! I was mad when I found out it’s only for catering. They really should change that!

So something curious happened today, when I visited Newk’s for the first time. I went in and asked for a Caesar salad, as well as a cup of soup to go, and while I did get my cup of soup, I got a sandwich instead of a salad. Here’s the curious part… I don’t care that they screwed up my order, because dang that was a good sandwich!
Newk’s is a restaurant that plays to its strengths, and focuses on Sandwiches, salads, soups, pizzas and desserts, with several options for each. The sandwich that I didn’t order, for example, was the Pimiento cheese sandwich, and at $ 6.79, you’re pretty much at the average price of most of the sandwiches available. Speaking of the pimiento, it’s made with yellow and Vermont white cheddar cheeses, with one tomato on top, and served with crispy toasted bread.
The soups are «kettle batch» soups, handmade, and cooked in small batches, changing daily. All of their soups come in the following sizes:
8 oz cup for $ 3.99
16 oz bowl for $ 6.99
32 oz Jumbo for $ 12.99.
My 8 oz cup of chicken tortilla was a little light on the tortilla, but was very flavorful, requiring no added seasoning on my part, and the shredded chicken in the soup was very tender, adding to the hearty taste.
Customer service is super quick, and had me in and out during the lunch rush in less than 10 minutes. While the restaurant was packed, there were still a few tables, so don’t be afraid to show at noon. Located in the Merton walk shopping center with Publix, there’s plenty of parking, both in the front and rear.
It’s pretty hard to get an order wrong, and still have me as a fan. I definitely enjoyed the food at Newk’s, and i’m just sad I didn’t stop in earlier.

EVERY TIME I go to this restaurant it’s something! There is always a long wait although no one is there, employees standing around chit chatting and my order is ALWAYS wrong! I went back in today for lunch to give it one more try (I really want to like this place.) But yet again, FAIL! I spoke to the manager, he appeared list and didn’t even offer an apology… I waited 23 minutes for the incorrect order. I will not return. I would suggest if you like Newks driving a little further to a nicer location. This was another horrible experience!

If you come here, stick to sandwiches. They don’t seem to care that their salads are made with old lettuce that show obvious signs of rotting. We made the mistake of also adding a salmon to the salad. I’ve never tasted a piece of salmon so dry. It was a brick. The salmon seems to be pre-​cooked and then reheated to the point that they remove any and all flavor from it. It was a really sad experience. Oh well, lesson learned.

I love the sandwiches and the soups. This place is clean and inviting. The service is good and the employees are always friendly. The food is somewhat pricey but you get what you pay for.

First time for two of us in a 5 person group. 3 hadcsandwitchest, a club, a turkey and another. We both had the soup and 4 cheese and soup combo. I think the soup was served up and sat while the Mac and 4 cheese was in the oven. Mac came to the table bubbling while the soup was warm but not hot. Took back to counterclockwise ask them to zap a minute or so in the micro to learn that they did not have one. That actually impressed me as it means one is not used in their prep process. The manager simply offered to and replaced the soup which was RE delivered to the table. This was much earner but not hot to where you would want it to cool a bit.
The flavor of both soups were great and the Mac and 4 cheese different and again very good.
We would place this establishment close to the Panerai bread in terms of being good quality, very tasty and ease of the whole process.
Will likely be back again when in the area.

We just started going to Newks recently, and gosh, it’s become a quick favorite!!! Their pizza’s are awesome, their salads are amazing (and HUGE!!!), their sandwiches are yummy… I have not yet had a bad thing there.
But… what takes the cake?

Last night the server at Newks convinced us to try their German Chocolate Cake. Oh. My. Word. The best GCC I have EVER had. Moist, multiple layers of frosting (but thin layers, not gloopy!!!) I RAVED and RAVED about the cake. A few minutes later the server came back with a free piece to take home! She had told the manager I had formed an emotional connection to the cake, and he gave me a free one! So… THANKS MARK!!!
Can’t say enough good stuff about this restaurant. The condiment bar is awesome, the re-​useable drink cups are awesome, the food is awesome, the service is awesome. Love me some Newks!!!

This was my first visit to this location. My cashier Alexis was super sweet & helpful. I ordered the bake potato soup and flank steak sandwich. The soup was very good but the bread on the sandwich was over toasted and dry. The restaurant could use a through cleaning there was a funny smell when I walked in. The panels in the window area were dusty. The décor is nice.

Newk’s NEVER drops the ball! Todays ordered consisted of the Pimento cheese sandwich, a cup of Hoppin John soup, a Spicy Shrimp pizza, and the new German Chocolate cake. Everything was OUTSTANDING! The soup was ok for me, but just what my husband needed as he’s not feeling too hot today. The pimento cheese sandwich is rich and full, yet still light enough to eat for lunch. The spicy shrimp pizza is refreshing and delicious. It has just the right amount of shrimp and veggies, with a subtle spiciness that takes everything to the next level. The cakes here are homemade and it makes all the difference. The cake was big enough to split in half (although I didn’t), the cake itself was light and moist while the icing/​topping was rich and decadent. It was sweet and gooey and filled with shredded coconut. This will definitely be my new go-​to cake for a while.
The prices here are fair considering the quality of the food and the amazing customer service. The cashier that helped me went out of her way to please me even while the line was hanging out of the door. I got my food to go, but dining in is a great option also.
Service was super speedy! The place was packed, yet my food was ready in a flash. By the time I fixed my drink, grabbed some breadsticks and found a table to wait at, my name was being called. The order was put in correctly and everything was packed neatly including extra utensils. I LOVE NEWK’S and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a light, delicious, high quality lunch.

I really like this place when I’m in the area. I’ve had the macaroni and cheese, which comes in a skillet (I think) and is oh-​so-​good. I had the veggie sandwich with portobello, which was also good. I had a simply salad with salmon, which was also good and in a huge bowl. They bring food out pretty fast and have a good menu. I’ll come back and try more things.

The atmosphere was nice and the staff was okay. The food was not what I expected. I ordered a half sandwich and salad. My turkey sandwich had the smallest piece of meat I had ever since. The sandwich was mostly bread. The salad was okay but I will not be returning again.

Horrible!!! Manager was so rude to us. The cashier forgot to ring up our drinks and he demanded us to pay for them. We didn’t even know she didn’t charge us. He said she’s young and didn’t realize she forgot to charge us. He came off as arrogant and unpleasant! We will not return and def won’t recommend this place. It’s a shame because the food is actually good.

We ordered the Mediterranean pizza and the Red, White & Blueberry Salad salad. The pizza was good but it needed a sauce — it was dry without it. The salad was good and simple. Newks gets bonus points for sautéed garlic at that condiment bar. Their new peach tea is awesome and I hope they keep it sugar free.
The big bonus is that have a faucet to wash your hands in the hallway between the two bathrooms. There is no reason to enter the bathroom if you only want to wash your hands. So simple but so appreciated.
The service was very pleasant and the restaurant was clean and roomy.

I was not expecting very much but I experienced exceptional customer service!
I ordered quickly and was told to sit down and they would bring me my food.
My food arrived within 5minutes (a salad and soup) the sherry vinaigrette was so yummy! But I did notice that they had brought me the wrong soup. I decided I would eat it anyway. Without me saying anything to get the young lady that took my order noticed that they had brought me the wrong soup and assured me that it would be corrected! She brought me the new bowl of soup and then brought me a complimentary slice of chocolate cake for my trouble.
This is what costumer service should be like everywhere!

Been here a few times and have had mixed results. Overall they have a unique menu with some really good sandwiches and soups that beat out Panera. Quality of the food is pretty good and they have lots of different bread options. My personal favorite is the shrimp poboy which I normally do with a soup combo. The one thing I have a problem with is the consistency. Sometimes the soup or sandwich tastes different and or they forget to include something that is supposed to be on it. That has not kept me from coming back though, good spot for lunch or dinner!

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day that I opted for dinner to be a picnic by a dog park with my spastic pooch. Stopped in at Newk’s on the way (for the first time) and bought a chicken salad sandwich with chips and a water to go. They were pretty dead, the service was great, the wait acceptable. But, they were pretty skimpy on the veggies, and even forgot the onions –horror of horrors! Yet, I was pleased enough with the bread flavor and texture and the chicken salad, which had lots of very tender chunks of chicken, that I’ll totally go back and just be more specific about my veggie preferences.

Just tried Newk’s! Been wanting to try this place since I’ve heard good things. Everything here is awesome! This place is spacious and with the price of the food, it’s awesome.
I tried the triple play, turkey sandwich, and vegetable pizza. Highly recommend the vegetable pizza! It was probably close to $ 10. Triple play comes with chicken salad, pasta salad, and fruit. It was all good, but not actually what I was in the mood for haha. Super healthy though! Apparently under 600 calories ;) and the turkey sandwich was amazing and didn’t tasted way more than 600 calories but awesome more than 600 calories.
Definitely a great place to quickly get good food.
