I got an appt. And went through all the form filling and gave my ID and insurance card. Then was asked for payment and gave my credit card was charged $ 250.00 to see an orthopedist !! I was appalled and asked why such an exorbitant amount and she told me that’s what I had to pay… very nonchalantly! ! I had to shug up because I was in pain and needed to see the Doc… who by the way was wonderful! I wish she had taken the time to explain I would have appreciated it.

Would give zero stars if that were an option. Saw Dr. Wang at Dacula location today. Would not recommend going to this location if he is the doctor on call. Witnessed him be unnecessarily rude to one of his nurses who happened to be stellar. This was witnessed by my 8 year old son who wanted to know why that mean doctor treat that really nice lady that way. Just horrible. Upon his examination, he laughed and told me my sore throat «wasn’t that bad». Absolutely terrible bedside manner, would not listen to what i had to say about medications that have worked for me in the past, just overall terrible. I normally see Dr. G at the Lilburn location, and will never opt for another location simply because it’s closer or more convenient at the moment.

DO NOT go here if you can help it! The staff, from the receptionist to the office manager, are rude, unorganized & unprofessional. My husband began seeing Dr. JJ Shah for his carpal tunnel symptoms a few weeks ago. The doctor has been good but the office seriously lacks decorum. At his last visit he had an 11:30am appt, came in early, paid his copay, waited for 45 minutes, was told that they were behind & did not know when he would be seen & since he had to go back to work, he rescheduled & left. We called to confirm his appt & they told us he didn’t have one… turns out nobody had rescheduled him! I asked to speak with someone to make sure he could still get an appt & that he would be seen by an appropriate time. It is understandable if they are running behind & we have to wait 15 – 20 minutes but 45 or over is just ridiculous. The receptionist for Dr. Shah as well as the office manager both informed us that, «That’s not how it works in specialty. All specialties are like this. We don’t ever schedule one patient for one time slot. We currently have 4 people scheduled for 10am. There’s no guarantee when he will be seen. We will see him when we see him. There’s no way for me to tell you a specific time.»
Then why do you schedule him for a specific time? Everyone should just walk in? It doesn’t matter what specialty you are, why would you schedule 4 patients at a time? How much more money does that make you? People should not have to wait almost an hour when they come in early just to see the doctor for 10 – 15 minutes, or worse, to not be seen at all. This type of negligent behavior has to go! I can say for a fact that not all specialties are like this! I don’t believe I’ve ever had to wait more than 15 minutes at a given specialist doctor’s office. We will definitely be looking for a different orthopedist!

Despite the negative reviews, I have not had any negative experiences with Gwinnett clinics, at any of their locations. They always have good appointment availability, at least when I have needed one. While some doctors have a better bedside manner than others, I have always found my care to be professional and what I needed at the time. I find it very convenient to be able to go to different locations depending on where I am, which is useful if I need an appointment when I’m at work versus at home. Lastly, I would give five out of five stars for the pharmacy at the Lawrenceville location. The pharmacists are very kind and good at what they do. It’s very nice to be able to walk directly from your doctors office with a prescription to the pharmacy and get what you need without a long wait or an extra drive.

I never write a review even though I have had bad experiences at locations before. But this place has reached its limits and I had to write it down. I am writing this for the Orthopedics counter.
So I have been waiting for them to call me inside for the past 1.5 hrs. I see people who signed in after me called inside. I inquire why that is so. I am told that I don’t have an appt. I told them I do has an appt and show them the appt card. And then she inquires someone else. The other person mentions oh don’t worry, we will take you soon. We are moving fast now. You are the third person in line (let me tell you all those people came like 30 –45 mins after I did).
I have had it with them. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

The doctor has tons of accreditation but everytime you come here dont count on your appointment time. Attitude is that there is nothing they can do if the doctor falls behind. Procedures will take an hour but you’ll wait 2 before even getting in the door.
Very unprofessional and rude staff. Bad service. If you have insurance and they will pay regardless of facility, don’t come here.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Shin for years. He’s a great doctor. He takes the time to sit down with you and explain your treatment plan and he actually listens to you when you have questions.
Patsy in allergies is so sweet. She’s always been courteous. I hope she sticks around for a long time!

Awful service!!! Waited over 45 minutes for the doctor to show up to the appointment! Poor service, waste of time!!!

Horrible experience. I will never go back. I was the second person to sign in after their lunch break yet I waited 2 hours in the waiting room and an additional 45 minutes in the exam room before walking out. The receptionist was very rude when I requested my co-​pay back. (I don’t believe she reversed the charge on our spending account because it was declined today and hasn’t been used since yesterday) Today I went over to Athens Regional in Bethlehem and was seen and had an x-​ray done within 30 minutes of walking in the door.

I went to this clinic on Sept 28,2012. I saw the doctor and was over all happy with the wait and service at that time. In Nov. I started to get statements that I did not pay my co-​pay. I called and it was resolved when I told them I had my proof of payment. Again in Jan I recd another statement that I owed for 35.00 co-​pay from Sept. 28 – 2013. I called in again told them I had my recpt they put me on hold said they had not applied the payment and I would not get more statements. Yesterday I got same statement for same thing called in. I was over talked the whole time told to get my proof and call back again when I had it. I have mailed them ALL MY PROOF. Saving your paperwork is important. I should not have to go through this for 35.00. GWINNETT CLINIC, NO THANK YOU
