I eat here frequently, I love the burritos and tortas, it is fast and inexpensive, also when it is slow in there they are always cleaning, which is also nice to see.

EDITON10/01/2015: This has been based on my recent visits to this place. This place has been losing my vote as of recently. Not only do they have tendency of overcooking the meat, but they are also shameless and will serve it to you anyways. That’s really really low. I’m talking about completely burned. You’ll see Al Pastor mostly covered in black instead of its usual color. Who likes burned meat? I don’t like burned meat. Safe to say I won’t be back for a full month. I still love this place. Hopefully they can change.

Visiting from Tucson. I was pleased to see there was real Mexican food in Mass. I grew up eating Al Pastor in Sonora, Mexico and this place replicated the experience. They had the Al Pastor on the rotisserie topped with Pineapple. The tacos were delicious and wrapped in warm fresh homemade corn tortillas. Glad I’m visiting for another other week because I will be back.

The reviews are example of people not really dining on excellent Mexico food. I’m originally from California by way of Mexico and I know the difference from excellent and just ok. This place is just ok, nothing to brag on. The taco were dry and meat was over cook the complete meal was tasteless.

Small location, but they do have there own parking on the side of the building. The food is awesome, it’s Mexican fast food. If in a rush this is the place to go, I would recommend a Burrito, you can mix two different types of meat I usually mix pastor with chicken or which ever mix you like. I always tell them to add cilantro and jalapeños since they don’t come with them standard. Enjoy!

I want to like this place so much. Good service, great prices. The chicken is just weird in taste and texture. Great guac though. Been 2x… won’t be a third.

This place does pretty damn good, and consistent with the Tacos Lupitas in Haverhill, which was, y first experience. The tacos are pretty good and very fairly prices, I like the steak and Pastor. Also very surprisingly get the nachos with steak on them and have them dress the way you like you will not be disappointed.

Going by Unilocalers i gps’ed my way here. The food was tasty though the portions were lacking. The horchata was very good, i never had it before. I’ll probably try a different place next time i’m in Lawrence.

Its a good place to go in and take out. Kind of mexican fast food. You wouldnt want to sit there and enjoy your mexican taco or burrito, as its a small little lace and no parking. Its a nice little place, light on pocket, quick service and wouldnt rate the food service as exceptional. But good enough for what you pay. Wouldnt mind going here again if am passing by and get a quick meal.

Whenever I review Mexican food, I always like to preface my review with the fact that I was born and raised in SoCal, so if there is any one type of food that I have had a LOT of, it’s authentic Mexican. I usually open up this way to explain why I am so critical, and why I am knocking off stars… well my friends, Tacos Lupita deserves nothing fewer than five of them; we may as well be on the Mexican border. Few places serve beef tongue(lengua), so a jumped at the chance at a giant beef tongue burrito for under $ 6. Beef tongue is generally chewy, as it is easy to cook wrong, but this was perfect. Wonderfully seasoned and married with rice, beans, some pico, and guacamole. Awesome! My wife had the three tacos plate which was equally delicious. We both made equal notice of how wonderfully fresh the tortillas tasted. They quickly steam them, something that separates the men from the boys in mexican cuisine. They DO take cards, but they make you run the machine yourself, which was kind of different. They don’t speak much english, so you will either have to point to things, or say the order in spanish(the menu is in both spanish and English). No worries. My only regret is not having come here sooner. We have lived in Lawrence for almost eight months and this was our first visit. We will definitely be back. Many, MANY times. As an added bonus, they are open late on the weekends!

Well paint me white and call me Gringo! Who knew that Mexican food(heck, any food!) could be awesome, inexpensive and quickly prepared… all at the same time and place? I’m a veteran(and major fan) of the Lynn branch of the Tacos Lupita, but this place in Lawrence is a different experience. In Lynn, at least when I’ve been there, it’s a hustle bustle mix of dine in and take out orders; there’s a line to order, a pretty good wait for the food, and there is more of a real dining room feel to the eating area. The staff brings the food to your table, and the dining area, though not elegant, is adequate and has a variety of table sizes. The Lawrence Lupita’s has more of an old McDonald’s feel, or a local pizza shop where you walk in through the seating area, you get your own drink from the stand up display, order at the counter, and take it back to your seat. But, SOWHAT??? The food here — a Chorizo torta, 3 tacos(chicken, carne asada, and beef) and a Horchata were all fantastic. I won’t go into detail as to the make up and sublime wonderfulness of a Chorizo Torta or Lupita’s chorizo in general. I did that in my Lynn review, so go read it if you’re curious. Anyways, if I spend any more time thinking about it I’m going to stop writing and go get another; I’m getting hungry thinking about it, and getting cranky that I don’t have one. And, it doesn’t matter what anyone says, not even an eloquent scribe such as I, you just gotta taste it to get it. What blew me away about the Lawrence location was the way the guy made my tacos. He deftly assembled 3 sets of soft corn tortillas in a Styrofoam box(each taco actually has two tortillas) and then, in a flash, dropped in a spoonful of each of the different meats, bang, bang, bang, asked«with everything,» answer«oh, yeah,» bang, bang, bang a spoonful of premixed lettuce, tomato, etc., in each, asked«Hot?» answer«oh, yeah!») bang, bang, bang, flip the lid and out we go. I almost ordered more just to watch him do it again. Everything made the car ride home fresh, intact no spillage or slop, and still warm. Estoy muy contento. ¡Gracias, Lupita!

I was recommended to this place by my roommate. It’s fantastic. The chicken is juicy, the burritos are big, and this place is very cheap. I also LOVE the chorico burritos. Oh, and the staff is VERY friendly and helpful. I recommend the verde sauce over the rojo sauce. Their default is rojo, so shout verde before they make an irreversible decision. Knowing Spanish also helps when ordering, but isn’t necessary. I don’t prefer the beef burritos.
