Extremely inconsistent. You may or may not be able to get things on the menu. Apparently they also don’t make a lot of their items — quite a few of them are purchased frozen. So you’re basically just having someone else reheat your food and charging you restaurant prices for it.

Ordered from Golden Chopstick for delivery to a local hotel. The delivery time promised was 30 minutes and food showed up after 1 hour 15 minutes. Ok, not a good start, but hey, I’m really hungry by now… The only reason this made more than one star is for the Crab Rangoon and the egg drop soup. Both were quite good. The beef and broccoli was inedible, I’m not even sure the«beef» was«beef», it wasn’t the right texture or color and smelled off. The shrimp Lo Mein was slightly better as the noodles were perfect however the shrimp was dry and did not have a good texture. I would definitely not order from them again — sorry :-(

Golden Chopstick is a Chinese takeout restaurant located in a corner strip plaza(Super Liquor) at the corner of South Broadway and Shattuck St. Not to be confused with the other«Golden» Chinese restaurant up the street, Golden Chopstick offers order at the counter service with open kitchen in a very cozy standing area and there’s also a dining area in the adjacent room. They serve up the standard Chinese items and dishes, plus chef’s specialties. The prices are fairly reasonable, most items under $ 10 and chef’s specialties $ 10.25-$ 12.25. 40 Lunch Specials(Mon-Sat until 3:30PM) served with pork fried rice and can of soda for $ 5.50-$ 5.95, plus 24 Combination Plates($ 7.50-$ 7.95)served with pork fried rice & egg roll and 20 Dinner Specials($ 8.75-$ 9.25) served with pork fried rice. See the menu at: Initially, I stopped here a few months ago on a Sunday, but found out no lunch specials were offered on Sundays, which is the same policy at the other«Golden» restaurant. On principle I went to another Chinese place(offering lunch specials everyday) not too far from here in Lawrence. I decided to return here for lunch recently on typical Saturday afternoon and ordered the L13 Chicken Lo Mein($ 5.50 plus tax) with pork fried rice and cold can of Canada Dry Ginger Ale. The portion of food was generous, plenty of carbo loading hot food piled into a square styrofoam box. The lo mein dish was on the oily side with pieces of soft chicken, sprouts, mushroom, onions, and scallions, noodles were cooked just right. The fried rice(light brown color) had a very soft texture with small pieces of roast pork, onions, and fluffy eggs. The food was pretty decent overall and very filling, enough for three lunches. The service was prompt, as I received my food in about 10 minutes after ordering. CREDITCARDSACCEPTED: $ 10 minimum DELIVERY: Lawrence, N. Andover, Andover & Part of Methuen.
