Two reviews here, one for the new«Nashville Hot» chicken and the other for the Laurel location, KFC. Out of the house at last — for we had just shoveled the last of the snow from our driveway and the sun was beginning to melt the other snow roads, leading into our neighborhood. So, where do you think the hubby wants to go? To KFC and sample their«newest» hot chicken. We ventured over to the Laurel location, which was freshly plowed — yay! It was clean and quiet. The store’s manager on duty that day, took our order. She was very nice. There were some mishaps, but all was quickly straightened out and at last we’re one on one with Nashville Hot. Two stars for Nashville Hot KFC chicken. Suggestion — when ordering the chicken, ask for«light, on the sauce.» This was the suggestion offered up to us from the associates here at KFC. The hot sauce is over powering and masks all the other good, intended flavors, associated with fried chicken. Also, the sauce is pure hot, with no definitive flavors. The coating is super crunchy, super oily & super non-flavorable. That’s way too many«supers.»

I thought me and the Colonel had a thing going on; but alas leave it to the ratchetness that was in full swing today at this location. The one star is for the chicken that they got right. That diabetes water that they served me labeled sweet tea needs modifying. I watched as one of the manager’s visited the store and in front of a patrons kids had a full f-bomb conversation that was NSFW. Laying on the counter calling employees to see who could close Wednesday night and going back and forth with one of the other employees. I just shook my head. Who knew ordering a $ 5 fill up box was so complex. I told the cashier that I’d dine in but I guess I should have taken the subliminal message when she bagged it up to go. I had the mashed potatoes and gravy for the side and felt my blood pressure spike from all the salt that it contained. Tables weren’t cleaned off and some guy coming out of the bathroom with no shirt on didn’t make me want to stay a while longer. I think he went in there and took a bird bath. There are some areas that need improvement but if it’s the management that’s part of the problem it’s not totally unbelievable that the employees won’t emulate her. C’mon people, let’s do better.
