I had to make a late cancellation. As a Diamond member that has never been a problem in my 30 years of travelling. Never the less at this Hampton they decided that their policy is that cancelling within 24 hours will cost you a night. Every hotel has that policy but always forgoes it for frequent travelers. I understand the charge if they were booked solid and my reservation meant they had to forgo another customer but the Manager said the had rooms available. Its the policy! She was adamant. So much for customer service and loyalty. I can see why others have had problems with the staff. It starts at the top. I will never go to this Hampton again and I encourage others to do the same. If I could give stars I would. Awful

Never stay at this hotel! If I could take away the one star that I had to give by default I would! The customer service is horrible! They blamed me and my counterparts for noise, called us and gave only one warning threatening to call the police as if we had been a problem the entire stay, they had people lying in the hallway with blankets and pillows making up a bunch of noise and not to mention the room service decided to take it upon herself to let her self into my room while I was changing clothes! Like seriously! There was a do not disturb sign on the door! If you decide to choose a hotel in Laurel do not choose this one!!!

If I could have given zero stars, I would have. Never in my life have I experienced a less professional and respectful staff. Don’t expect to ever resolve an issue here as the staff will snicker and mumble to each other at your expense. They could all use a lesson in professionalism and hospitality. You cannot just charge someone’s credit card for smoking with no proof other than«the housekeeper thought someone smoked in there». No sense of logic or how to properly treat guests. Just for an extra $ 250 for the hotel? Disgusting!!! Horrible, horrible service!

I have never had a problem with any of my stays at any Hampton Inns. I love going to a hotel and knowing that I can sleep without bedbugs biting me(has yet too happen but, you could never be too careful). I know I can always count on Hampton Inn’s cleanliness. I usually judge hotel cleanliness by how clean their stairwell is and usually never disappoint. My room didn’t come with a microwave or a mini fridge but that doesn’t bother me. That bed was soft and clean and Was screaming my name the moment I walked it.

To be honest, the service here is questionable, well, on a good day questionable, but for the money, it’s not bad for Laurel. Pros: + Clean Hampton is clean. Everything is tidy, in it’s place, nothing worn out. Good maintenance. + The internet is pretty decent. Good enough for constant streaming, with only a hick up on starting Netflix or youtube. + The beds are nice and soft! + Price is nice! Cons: — Service is weak at best. Most of the time the staff is watching TV or hiding in the back. Occasionally, they’re outside having a smoke. Running the hotel seems like a secondary priority. — The maid drives me crazy. Why does my toothbrush move around so much. Why are there so many times I find it on the counter… — The area is recessed and prone to thievery(apparently), I was warned repeatedly not to leave anything visible in my car. — No fridge or micro? Weak. — Water pressure is a little disappointing… The price and comfort are good, but it’s not without its problems. Stay at your own risk, but don’t worry much, the value is still better than the risks.

I had a confirmed reservation for a NON SMOKING1bedroom SUITE. My daughter also had a confirmed reservation for the same type room. When we attempted to check in I was informed by a rude desk clerk that the hotel only had ONE non smoking king suite in the hotel. I asked how that was possible as we had confirmed reservations for 2 non smoking suites. She told me it was not her fault. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told she was in a meeting. I waited, after driving 5 hours, and after a few minutes a tee shirt clad manager by the name of Tammy came out. Again I got no satisfaction. When I finally agreed to accept a King NS room near the 1NS suite I suggested to the GM that she should take something off the rate. That was greeted with a smirk at which point I told her to cancel both reservations. I asked for the owners name and phone # and I was told that all correspondance had to go through her. If anyone knows who the owner is, please post it. He has a general manager to replace. Thanks.
