The worst expirience ever keepin in mind I am in food and beverage industry for quite Caine years now. The chew fat guy or who ever he is… Was very rude. Not a pleasant experience. Don’t recommend if you want service and quality.

Overpriced taco $ 7 – 8 each, more for specialty meat. Horrible service. you’d get charged .35 for tap water and the salsa which is small shot glass size is $ 1.50 for extra. Good luck finishing your chips. No wonder no one is coming in.

Let’s just say that Jojo’s is a Nono! I should have known by the place being completely empty at 2pm. We were the only customers until other walker bys saw us trusted our instincts. We ordered 4 tacos: peachy pollo, frisky brisket, fried shrimp and calamari. All were dis-gus-ting! The chicken tasted and just horrible! The brisket was so salty! The shrimp was plain out nasty. Idk what type of breading was used but ew! Now the calamari taco was decent. And I don’t accept decent on given day, not even from myself. The chips and salsa was the best tasting items on the menu. I ate all of that. And the sangria was great! I brought to the server attention the nastiness of my food and they were nonchalant about my complaints. They didn’t even offer option like taking it off the bill or change in item as requested by me. Never again Jojo. Never again

Best tacos around! These are no «Mexican» style tacos they are foodie crafty tacos. You will find shrimp and coleslaw tacos, mushrooms& asparagus veggie taco and so much more. They are culinary masterpieces with complex flavors! They have a way of smoking the shells to give them a great flavor. These are best enjoyed«as is» they do not allow you to make substitutions so if you are picky you might want to choose somewhere else. For those who open your mind, you will NOT be disappointed! Highly recommend. I have 4 starts because hours of operation are limited.

I went there to meet with some friends to get some food and walk around the beach and before I even set foot in the door my friends informed me that the owner told them to move their car because they hadn’t spent enough money to park at their establishment. This is when the restaurant was completely empty and opened 10 min late. I’ve eaten here a few times and I’ve put there over priced tacos and attitudes to the side because of the location but from here on out I’ll pass.

I wanted to like this place but it’s way overpriced and pretentious. Like the other reviews stated: the way you’re seated and then have to go back to the counter to order is just dumb. The queso was oily/greasy. It was pretty good when piping hot but as soon as it cooled it became a paste and was impossible to eat. Chips are great. Tacos fell apart and are hard to eat. Not worth $ 7 and it’s absurd you can’t make any changes to the food. Sucks if you have food allergies. The fried ice cream was pretty good. Overall — my friend and I paid $ 53 for queso, 4 tacos, 2 drinks, and fried ice cream. We won’t be back.

Really some of the best tacos around. I’m not sure why other reviews say the staff is rude. I’ve been about a dozen times and everyone is always cheerful and nice. The fact that you can’t sub other ingredients on the tacos tells me the chef is experience and to just trust the menu, and I’ve never been steered wrong. They’re always delicious and fresh — you can watch them make most of the ingredients from scratch from your table. Also some of the best sangria around.

I always love visiting this place when we are in town. I miss it all the time when I go back home to Columbus, OH. What a chef! Fancy creative tacos but definitely do yourself a favor and try his entrees too.

Very odd, they seat you and then give you a menu, but you order at the counter. Tried to pay at this point and was told no, I needed to come back after we ate to pay. Tip line on the receipt and not sure why, order at counter, get your own Drinks and pay on your own. Started with mr t’s Magic dip or whatever they called it, 11 bucks and it was mostly canned beans, oh and a large bone, almost 4 inches long. Tacos, don’t dare asking to change them, and did I mention they are 7 bucks each? Thought they better be good for this price, was I ever wrong, mainly a shell and lettuce. Wife ordered a tostada which was burnt and not edible. When we went back up to pay they asked how it was. I explained we didn’t eat it and the issues we had with the food. The manager quickly walked up and promptly said«hopefully next time you will order something better». 46 dollars and we had chips and 2 Diet Pepsi. As a local, I assure you we won’t be back here.

Nothing to write home about here. Food is marginal and pricey. Parking for all restaurants in this area is difficult.

Love this place! Just wish they would cater to people with allergies such as onions in the slaw.

The guacamole and salsa are amazing, but the tacos might be a little too experimental for some tastes. They also have a very unique and tasty fried ice cream, but sometimes«run out» of it early. The waitstaff seems a little young and inexperienced. Also, the whole tipping/waiting for your food ritual is a little unclear. Staff needs to be a little more proactive about this.

Terrible service. No accommodations for allergies. Food is over fried. Tacos are small yet unable to be picked up. Everything is overpriced. Guacamole was decent but that was the only good thing about this place.

Ok just finished eating here– Upon entering, the atmosphere is on point. Its seriously adorable, the lighting, cleanliness, and décor give you high hopes for a good experience. Then it gets kinda weird. The sign says«wait to be seated» so we were walked over to our table. We asked for a table further back because the one they chose for us put us basically on top of the people at the next table over. They said«no» because the remaining two tables were for parties of 4 or more(there were 2 of us). But the other tables were exactly the same size as the table they chose for us and the chairs were the exact same chairs(3 chairs with a 2 seater bench). Weird. So they left us with our menus and told us we could walk up to the counter to place our order once we decided. So you get seated and then have to go back to the front to place your order. After placing our order, i tried to pay and they said we can pay at the counter on the way out. Lots of steps involved with this process. We were also told that we could help ourselves to silverware, plates, and napkins from this community counter near the middle of the dining room. Also just sort of strange. So we chose plain queso(there are several queso options, we chose plain). It was so gross that it actually made us laugh out loud. It was more like an omelette than a dip so we literally had to cut it with a knife and fork and the underneath was just completely greasy. It was horrible. On the bright side, the chips that accompany it were awesome– sort of like crunchy hollow pita chips. We enjoyed those with the complimentary salsa. We both chose the«peachy pollo» taco and we found it to be okay. Definitely not worth the $ 6 they charge per taco. It was mostly lettuce and lots of spice… Not too much recognizable peach flavor there. A staff member came by and asked if he could clear our queso plate which we barely touched and we nodded with perplexed faces. I wondered why he would not ask if anything was wrong with it since we really didn’t eat it and since it looked like a greasy cheese patty. Barf. The bill was $ 28 and i left wishing i ate next door at BurgerFi. Bleh.

The staff is crazy and truly ignorant! Me and three friends — all adults and professionals walked in. No one else was in the entire place. It was 5 pm Sunday. We sat down at a table and pulled a chair over for the fourth person cause the benches are very uncomfortable. The waiter came over and said we cannot do that because the manager and owner who are not present would be upset. So I politely said because we want a chair?!! He replied yes! Unbelievable and we left. The other staff were of no help and actually very unfriendly! Glad they can afford to lose business. In the end, I got the number for the owner and left a polite message about what happened.. We ended up eating across the street and the waitress in the Vietnamese place said this happens often and that customers often leave there especially if they want to leave an ingredient out of a taco. She said they get spoken to rudely and are laughed it! Seriously!!! Argh lol

I would want to rate this 3.5 but if I had to lean to one side it would be 4 because they definitely do some unique things with their food I haven’t seen before and they execute it well. My problem frankly is two things: I don’t like the arrangement of the service and it is very expensive for what you get. Though the portions are generous and the quality is definitely there, it’s hard to convince me to pay an upwards of 6 – 7 dollars a taco. When I went last, I had an oyster taco and a brisket taco. The oyster taco was pretty good(had a strong raw oyster taste) but the brisket was really solid. Both tacos are piled on with a lot of «crap» you could say(lettuce, slaw, cilantro, other typically taco flair) but are very filling. Actually now as I write this… I’m thinking it is closer to a 3 star after all. But you gotta add a star for anyone that offers a Frito Pie. HUGE fan of that… great Sangria too but again. Don’t expect this to be a casual spot the prices are going to be on the highest end of fast-casual.

This is the best place I’ve ever eaten at on this street at this end of commercial. I’ve been to many of these places for breakfast and they serve pretty mediocre food, basic beach food places. This place goes over and above. At first there was a shock factor for price. $ 7 and $ 6 for a single taco seems like a bit much. We dove in anyways. We both got 3 tacos each. We went to the register to order and when we turned around to sit down, there was chips and salsa waiting for us. Salsa had awesome consistency and there was a generous amount of it. Ordered 6 different ones, frisky brisket, peachy pollo, green bird, skips rock shrimp, maple pig and seaside sirloin. Ranked: my favorite out of mine, was skips rock shrimp, it had buffalo sauce on it and it was awesome. My favorite from the ones I didn’t get, was the maple pig. The combination of maple, sweet potato curls and pork belly. All in all, this place looked great and didn’t disappoint. Check it out and make your own decision about it.

Awesome tacos. We had 4 different ones(beef and fish) and they were all very good. You order at the counter and then the food is delivered to the table. For drinks: the Sangria was very good. And also love that they have the old school crème sodas with the real cane sugar. For a lunch spot that is pretty quick, I would definitely recommend.

This unassuming quick food joint is very laid back. You have to go to the front from your table to order but then they bring it to you. 2 tacos for 10 bucks is a couple dollars high but they are Mexican corn soft taco style. Many imaginative new breeds of taco are here to be enjoyed, be sure to stop by for one! Oh, no margaritas though
