Days Inn & Suites Latham/Albany North

This hotel is in dire need of an update.
Check-​in was a breeze, they even handed us a welcome bag with some snacks and water in it. Our room was facing the pool, however the pool was closed, not sure why.
We walked into the room, and immediately noticed the couch. The arm rest was torn up. The overall room and hotel itself had some miles on it.
We noticed that other guests there seemed to live at the hotel. We saw a cat in one of the rooms.
The next day we walked down to the breakfast that was included. Juice machines did not work. The creamers curdled in the coffee. There were hard boiled eggs, bagel and toast but at that point we were not about to risk any food poisoning.
I will say its convenient if you are going to SPAC for a concert, not expensive and good proximity to venue.

I checked in, went into the room and found dirty sheets on the bed. I didn’t mind that the place looks tired, paint is peeling and the heat is loud and not terribly efficient at heating the room, but dirty sheets don’t even warrant one star. Customer service was fine — they switched me to a different room right away, but the general cleanliness of this place is questionable at best. It wasn’t terribly expensive, but for $ 62 a night I expect a clean room. You’re better off staying at a youth hostel.
