Walt’s Tree Service

I can’t say enough good things about this company. They are one of those companies you will call again and again for service until they retire, and then hope that a younger family member takes over the business so you can continue to use them. I just hired them for about fourth time in about the last six years. Past work has included tree trimming and tree removal, including a very large pine tree. Most recently Lance came out to advise me on whether a couple large African Sumacs needed trimming (they did). He also informed me that our sad looking Japanese Blueberry had borer beetles, and that was why it looked so sickly. He gave us some great advice on possible replacements, and is going to plant a Chaste tree (one my wife had already identified as a favorite) to replace the Japanese Blueberry. He is very knowledgeable about trees, and knows which trees do well in this climate, and which locations work best for a given tree. My wife, who often has her nose buried in books about fruit trees, remarked how nice it was to talk to someone who was so well-​informed about trees and local growing conditions.
I also asked about removing some palms and Lance went around showing me which palms in the yard were different from the ones that were originally planted, the result of a bird dropping a seed and the gardeners allowing it to grow. I was quoted a very reasonable price for removing the unwanted palms.
When the work is performed, there is a manager on-​site at the beginning, to make sure the work is properly identified, and at the end to make sure everything is completed to your satisfaction. We’ve been very satisfied with the work and the cost, which is why this is the fourth or fifth time we’ve hired Walt’s Tree Service.

Very pleased with Walt’s Tree Service. They pruned 3 large Ash trees in my back yard Thursday August 14 th. Arriving at 7am as promised they quickly did their work, gathered up all the mess and were finished. Very professional! I will definitely use their services again in future.
