Thirsty 3rd Thursday Downtown Pub Crawl

I don’t know… I think the novelty has worn off of this pub crawl. If it’s your first time, then you’ll have a blast. If it’s your third time, eh… It’s always the same five bars and only one has changed. I do not need to go to Hogs & Heifers again, for example. Switch it up!

My cousin and I attended Thirsty Third Thursday in June, 2014. It was a blast! You start out at the non-​smoking Hennessey’s Tavern at Fremont and Las Vegas Boulevard. For just $ 20, they give you eight coupons. For this night, the coupons were one for a half-​priced entrée at said Hennessey’s (GREAT food!), one free drink coupon for each of the six bars/​pubs you’ll be attending, and one half-​priced appetizer to be used at bar #5 (Mickey Finnz). Check in is at 7 pm, and at 8 pm you move on to the second bar. We showed up at 7:45 and were still allowed to participate. Hennessey’s even served the drink in a plastic cup, so we could take it with us.
As a group, we spent about twenty to thirty minutes inside each pub along the way. Long Bar inside The D Hotel/​Casino (longest bar in Las Vegas), Pizza Rock (enough time to suck down a slice of good pizza), Hogs and Heifers (loud rockin’ motorcycle bar a la Coyote Ugly, with a unique catch with women patrons and their bras), Mickey Finnz (next to Hennessey’s) where they had live music (and dancing!), and finally, The Brass Lounge (upstairs from Mickey Finnz and Hennessey’s).
Spending time at each bar, you can obviously order more drinks, if you like, at additional cost, especially since the six drinks included in the package is already such a great deal!
The group the night we went consisted of about twenty people. We met a very nice couple of girls from Canada and a couple of mature ladies from Las Vegas. Everybody was so happy, pleasant, laid back, including the promoters running the operation. The very fun night finished up between 11 pm and midnight.
My wife and I plan on attending Third Thursday OFTEN! It’s a great way to tour several bars in one night at a very economical price.
