I wish it worked out here for me since I’m getting married right next door. I tried doing my hair and makeup trial here for my wedding and I was already 10 minutes late and I was waiting another 40 minutes. I’m sorry but I can’t wait for you to finish with your other clients especially on my wedding day.

If you come here ask for Kristina! She is awesome! I’ve been a faithful client since May 2015 and as long as I’m in Vegas no one else will ever touch my long, thick locks! She is patient, creative and my hair looks amazing and I always feel like a new woman ready to conquer the world when I leave! The salon is clean and over looks the lake. She also does makeup too!

We bought a groupon for this salon and we were not disappointed! The nail techs were accommodating (there were 3 of us) and fun to be around. I felt that their conditions were sanitary as well! I would definitely visit this salon again as it was relaxing and fun. Shaun and Sonjie were great!

Susan Kravetz does my hair and she’s amazing! Her station overlooks the lake and her prices are affordable and well worth the service!!! She is definitely the top hair stylist there in my book and I would recommend her to anybody!

Also, the salon overlooks a huge pond where you can watch ducks and geese swimming around while you enjoy the relaxing experience of getting your hair done. I read reviews here about The Salon at Lakeside and how talented Josh is. I booked an appointment with Josh and he did an amazing job. I’m so happy I have another forever stylist since my other one moved. Josh gave me great color and an entire new cut. It’s been 15 years since I’ve worn short hair, I love it. Thank you Josh! I bought a $ 27 Gel manicure on Groupon. When I called the salon to make my appointment I spoke with Heather which was very attentive and polite. I just moved from LA to LV so I thought to myself «I have found my new mani/​pedi & hair salon!»
Now I know I was wrong! I am not sure if my my manicurist was new and had no idea what she was doing or just so unprofessional that she didn’t care.
Her job was sloppy that I had to ask to pull of a little more of the cuticles which she replayed «I don’t want to hurt you». Now that sounded like a huge excuse to not do your job!
I told her to not worry I had mani done a zillion times in my life.
She asked me if I was a manicurist too?
Now that was plan sarcasm! I had just told her what I do for work and where. So at that point no more conversation so I started to read my emails on my cell.
She told me to put the phone down! Yes she actually told me to put the cell down!!!

Btw do you know when you have your nails done and you leave the salon feeling really good? Well this one didn’t do it for me and it’s the first time that a Gel Mani look so bad only one week later.
I definitely won’t go back! I would suggest you not to go either!

When I lived in Vegas, I followed my stylist (Josh) to various cities. After moving out in 2007, I’ve never found another stylist who comes anywhere close. So glad I made an appointment to get my hair done when business brought me to Vegas for the week! There’s always a sigh of relief when he works his magic.

I had a groupon for a Brazilian Blowout and just had my blowout done by Raquel. She did an amazing job! My hair is so soft and smooth and much less frizzy. Raquel did such a great job, she explained every step of the process, and took her time doing a perfect job without rushing through it. I’ve had a couple blowouts before, but I’ve never been this happy with my hair. Thank you Raquel for making my hair look so good, and also for being so nice! I highly recommend Raquel!

After years of looking for a stylist, I finally found Josh. I’ve been going to him for quite some years now. He is a gifted stylist and his cuts are so different and unique. Josh does it where it’s easy for me to take care of. I like how I just go in and let him decide on what he wants and looks good on me. I am probably his most favorite client I’ll let him have fun and play with my hair to show his creative side. That’s what I love about him. This salon runs very professeionally and the entire staff is trained to provide excellent customer service and pampering. Shampoos come with head and neck massages. This place is simply the best!

The Salon at Lakeside is a beautiful location offering a great product. I’ve received excellent customer service and get totally spoiled everytime I’m here. I highly recommend Josh for hair services!

Had a haircut with Josh who was phenomenal. I was looking for a brand new style and Josh had several recommendations and I ended up with a really cool haircut. Great salon, staff and the views of the lake in Desert Shores are really nice! Highly recommend!

First I hate liars. The manicurist is still on your webpage. So it isnt a technician who left. The nail techs don’t leave hair dye bowls in the sink.
Again, my recommendation — Don’t Go!!!

I recently moved to Vegas and came to this salon for a haircut. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly staff. Kylee cut my hair and made sure to cut it just the way I wanted. I also noticed the place was very clean, and everyone there seemed to be in a great mood! Kylee did an excellent job cutting my hair. I did not feel rushed as I sometimes do when getting my haircut, and when she was done there was not one thing I would’ve changed. In fact, I left feeling better than when I went in because she did an AMAZING job at taking some of the weight out of my super thick hair – but still making it look fabulous. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone in the area.

Natural hair can be hard to manage during transition. London Palmer hooks me up every time!

I had an appointment with London yesterday and the experience was great! The place was beautiful and was greeted by the receptionist and London even got turned around lol. London was fast but efficient and took her time making sure everything was perfect. The technique she used was different and I liked it with a sew in on a net most people don’t oil your scalp and she did I LOVED that! The braids weren’t super tight and uncomfortable and she braided quickly. I’ve been to a lot of hair stylist and one thing I hate is one who texted on the phone and take phone calls and let me tell you she DID NOT do that! That is a super plus in my book the price was good for the services I got which was a full sew in with highlights cut and styled.

I had my hair cut and colored by Josh, and I absolutely love it!!! I walked in with an open mind, and was unsure what exactly I wanted. I had a consultation and mentioned I had never tried red before. So red it was!
While I was waiting on the color to be made, I enjoyed a hand massage by Alita, the nail technician. She had a great personality and had excellent customer service. It lasted about ten minutes, she kept me laughing the entire time, and I enjoyed her company. The hand massage felt AMAZING!
Before my hair was colored, it was separated into about 8 – 10 sections. I hardly get my hair colored, so I was a little nervous at first, but Josh and his knowledge with hair, and the way he worked with my hair, made me more than comfortable. I had my the color applied and while I waited for the color to set, I grabbed a snack from downstairs and mingled with the other staff. The staff was professional, and very friendly.
After the dye was applied and washed out, I had my hair blow dried and cut. I asked for straight across bangs, and they turned out perfect. Josh styled my hair into long layers, and I have a lovely healthy hair style. The color turned out a beautiful dark red, and it looks AMAZING when im outside in the sun.
I am so happy with my cut, color and style, and he went above and beyond my expectations. I am really big on customer service when it comes to my nails and hair, and the customer service was exceptional. My own observations of his ability to professionally cut and style, has shown me that Josh truly has a talent for hair. I recommend Josh and this hair salon to my family and friends, and will continue to have my hair done here.

The salon is beautiful and the front desk staff is friendly. However, if you are part of the LGBT community or one of their allies, be very wary of a stylist named Lynn. My 85yr old mother found herself in an uncomfortable situation as Lynn went on a rant against same-​sex marriage while my mother sat in the chair during her comb-​out. My mother has a gay son and several gay friends, so Lynn’s homophobic and discriminatory opinion was highly offensive and very unprofessional.
The manager responded to our written complaint, but said his hands were tired because he is only her landlord. If you go to this salon make sure your stylist is employed by the salon, otherwise you have no recourse should you be unsatisfied with your service.
As of 10-​09-​2014 same-​sex marriage is legal in the state of Nevada.
