I love this venue, yes drinks are a little over priced but hey its the colosseum at Caesars Palace. I’ve seen Celine, Cher, Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, & now Sir Elton. All great shows & always a good time when here.

Saturday, January 30, 2016 the stage was set and Elton John was to go on stage at 7:30 pm for his concert. Caesars allowed the audience members into the venue to purchase drinks, buy memorabilia, and fill the audience in anticipation of what is said to be a remarkable concert. For those of us in the audience we never experienced the joy of an Elton John concert; instead we received a dreary voice over the loud speaker informing is that Elton was unable to preform due to illness. This was just prior to 7:40 pm, after the show should have began. Staff had paperwork to hand to audience members addressing how refunds for tickets purchased would be handled showing they knew the concert would be cancelled given the paperwork was dated. Employees claim they had no knowledge the concert would be cancelled but to print out that magnitude of paperwork knowledge would have been necessary. No apology was offered, no replacement concert was put on that night, nothing. This concert was my all my days off from work, my hard earned savings for travel and lodging expense, and the tickets were my birthday present. This is a birthday present I will never get to experience. When they announced the cancellation the audience sat in disbelief and frankly I am still in disbelief. I had been looking forward to this concert and it has been said he did not preform because of an argument and disagreement back stage, not due to illness. While I wish Elton the best it is shame I did not get to see him nor did the others in the audience that night. No compensation of any kind has been offered this far and I have filled a complaint with Caesars. I just wish there was a way to get this experience that was ripped from me back. I will update this if I ever hear back from Caesars or Elton John’s staff. Be warned you may plan a perfect weekend around seeing Elton John as I did and have the weekend derailed by a cancellation and leave Las Vegas in dismay and disbelief that you too did not get to see Elton preform.

We recently came here to see a live show and even though we really enjoyed ourselves there are two main reasons why I am not giving 5 stars: 1. The bar is very expensive and has a very limited choice of beverage and snacks(popcorn and cookies). 2. The seats are very hard and outdated and do not even have a cup holder. The sound is great and so is the stage but I have been in venues(including some movie theaters) where the seating was much better. Considering how expensive the tickets for a live show are at Caesars Palace, I would have expected a more comfy venue.

I’ve had the opportunity to come here to see the AMAZING Celine Dion! She’s so incredible — I really want to see her again. It was so well choreographed and the sound system was great. The venue is beautiful and I believe Celine had some input on the the architectural aspect since it was originally created for her to hold concerts. The gift shop is really nice and changes periodically depending on the current long running concert. Not everyone gets to perform here — only selected worthy ones hahah! A few Asian popstars have graced the stage and I had the opportunity to see a famous one from Hong Kong. He even brought his dance team & costumes from HK so it was quite incredible. It’s Vegas so get all dressed up for a nice night out. Tickets for concerts can be pricey but worth the experience. I usually splurge for the orchestra seats but the venue isn’t gigantic so if you want to save some $$, any seat is fine. I like that it’s sort of u-shaped and slopes which makes viewing a lot easier. I had a camera in my bag once and almost had it confiscated. Probably best to just not bring a camera & enjoy the show: D :D

Saw Reba & Brooks and Dunn. The music was so loud you could not hear the performance. What a rip off. If you value your hearing, do not see this show.

My first Mariah Carey experience was here this summer! My favorite singer performing in my favorite Vegas hotel, what more can I ask for?! The set up is super nice in here. I opted for the middle section which was nice and close but I should have been greedy and just got all in the front! It was a bit hard to tell how far back or close I would be by looking at the seating chart alone. Word of advice: Buy your drinks outside the colosseum or just sit at machine and get a free drink before your concert starts. I wanted to drink with my Mariah experience and my margarita on the rocks came out to almost $ 20! That’s ridiculous.

We saw Elton John here on Saturday. The venu is beautiful and, even though we had total nose bleeder seats, the sight lines and acoustics were great. The drink lines seemed short, but I’m not sure if the prices kept kept people away or the service was super fast. Either way, we we smashed before we got here. I don’t go to too many concerts any more but when did it become acceptable to get up and leave multiple times during a show? Geez, we were disturbed two or three times during every song so someone could get a drink or use the bathroom. It’s only 90 minutes, people. Sit down and leave your phone off. Learn how to use your smart phone if you must text or brag to your friends on social media. Turn the brightness down to the level of «I’m an annoying asshole that finds joy in bragging to other people I’m at a concert in a dark arena».

A great venue to see big name acts. We saw Rod Stewart and sat in 1st mezzanine row D and a good view of the stage with great sound. For the price, 1st Mez seems to be the best value when compared to the price for floor or 2nd Mez, at least for this show. The seating is stadium seating which is very nice. The sound was outstanding. Staff was polite. The only reason I can’t give this place 5 star sis for two reasons: 1. No outside drinks. Once inside they price gouge, $ 8 for a water. 2. Ushers just watch the show, no help in addressing loud/drunk patrons.

Amazing venue. Came here to see the one and only MC. It was an amazing experience. Was running a little late due to the typical girl make up hair and outfit situation combined with strip traffic. Show said 8 and we got there around 815 and she was just coming on stage. From that moment on, the experience was so surreal. Great acoustics, friendly staff, like the E ticket option, the place had quite a bit of seating on three levels but still felt pretty intimate. Seats are very cushy but wish there were more leg room. I had rear Orchestra row k seats but the view was still amazing.

Last night I went to my first show at this venueand it was a great experience. This is probably the first Vegas show I’ve been to without a buzz, but I’ll get over it haha. My tickets were a present from my manager, so I don’t know how I would have felt if I was a paying customer. Anyways, the show was for Mariah Carey, but I’m reviewing the venue itself. The staff had a great view even though I sat in the back orchestra section. I was thankful to have a seat where people for the most part sat. However, this was not the case for people to the right of me. It didn’t seem like the ushers had any day of whether people should sit or not. I don’t have a complaint about it though because it’s pretty normal at these types of events. I only have one set of beef… The drink prices were insane. I needed to pay like $ 8 for water. Eh. :/ I’ll be back in the future for other headliners.

2015 Unilocal100CHALLENGE — 075⁄100 Fantastic venue. I’ve been here for Celine’s show and also Mariah’s and the customer service is incredible. Always an usher ready to assist you to your seat, and bartenders pour STIFF drinks. Once you’re inside, there are really no bad seats. I’ve sat nearby the stage, and even on the top balcony, and the seats are great. Very comfy as well.

Great place to see a show. The stage is beautiful and no matter where you sit, you still have a great view. I went to see Celine Dion and Mariah Carey at this stage and they have done an amazing job. I love coming here, it’s definitely a very high class place and make you feel nice.

What an amazing theater! Being ushered in with 100’s of other guests and not a delay to be found! This is a great place to see a show! The room is giant, and still the seats are great. It is designed really well, except being higher than 2nd balcony gives me a bit of vertigo. I have height issues. Seats are a little tight, but comfortable. Would always prefer to be on the main floor, but as budget allows, that is not always the case.

Easter weekend was my first time seeing a show at The Colosseum. My husband is a big Elton John fan, so we decided to take the family to see his show. We had eaten dinner next door at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. When we exited the Forum, there was a solid yellow line that you followed(think yellow brick road) to the doors of the Colosseum. Cool. Despite the crowds, it was easy to maneuver inside. They had escalators taking you upstairs(our seats were in the 1st Mezzanine). Imagine my surprise when we saw our awesome seats. We had opted not to sit orchestra level because they were very pricy. The 1st Mezzanine was cheaper and we opted for the back row because someone is always having to get to the bathroom in my family. I was concerned with the overhang of the floor above us, but that wasn’t a problem. We had a clear view of the stage and no overhang to contend with. But that wasn’t the best part, the seats were LARGE and had cupholders. I was amazed. Plus, there was no one behind us, so there was no feeling bad about getting up, be it to get another drink or dance. Awesome. We went to grab drinks and the line was very long, but that was if using a credit card. If you had cash, you could jump into a shorter line to grab a beer or wine. Overall, I thought this was a great venue, but my only complaint is the tickets are overpriced. Oh well, its Vegas.

Great venue. Went to see Seinfeld Friday night and really enjoyed the Colosseum. We were in the front orchestra but looking around I don’t think there are any bad seats here. The orchestra is on the main level and then there are two levels of balconies. Several restrooms and bars located just before entering inside the seating area with lots of staff available to help you find your seats.

After many years of thinking about seeing a big show here, my friend and I decided to see Elton John’s show on a Saturday night. It still amazes me how Caesar’s built this venue literally right off the center of the main casino floor to make it so damn convenient and easy to find. The inconvenience came with actually picking up our tickets to the show, but I’m not sure whether to blame Caesar’s Palace or where I buy many of my show tickets including these. Despite purchasing specific reserved seats almost a month in advance, I was only allowed to pick up these tickets in person at The Colosseum box office starting at 4pm on the day of the show. AND if I hadn’t picked them up one hour before showtime, I ran the risk of forfeiting my tickets. Frankly, that is complete bullshit. When buying reserved seats, especially that far in advance, you should have the opportunity in 2015 to print out your tickets online, pick them up at the box office anytime in advance of the show and almost certainly should not risk actually losing your seats(and the money you paid) if you arrive within an hour of the performance. This alone forced me to make an extra trip to Caesar’s hours before I would otherwise have been in the hotel and casino and was just completely unnecessary. Unlike other concert venues in Las Vegas, such as The Joint at Hard Rock, drinks are not permitted to be walked into The Colosseum from the casino floor, nearby sportsbook or restaurants. That’s another negative for this experience and I know I can point fingers at Caesar’s for this practice. Once inside, drinks were not only way overpriced, but service was painfully slow and prevented a number of people from seeing the beginning of the performance because lines did not move. This was a combination of slow bartenders and lack of staff working the concession areas. Finally in our seats in the balcony, an Elton John concert speaks for itself as I’ve seen him previously outside of Las Vegas. Unlike some other acts in their later years, Elton sounds better now than when he first recorded most of his hits and his enthusiasm for his fans is palpable. Acoustics were very good, sightlines from balcony seating were about what you would expect from a Vegas theater and the ability to move major pieces on set to reveal a huge 180 degree screen behind the stage was rather impressive(Although I wish the entire show had been presented that way). I did miss having the benefit of video screens on either side of the stage, as you normally get with concerts like this at arenas and amphitheatres across the country. Yes, I know this is a smaller venue, but especially for major acts like an Elton John that sit at a piano for 99% of the show, those video screens allow the entire audience to actually see the performer’s face rather than look at the side of his head. While I won’t hesitate to pay to see Elton John perform again in the future, I think I’ve crossed The Colosseum off the list. Once is enough unless they book a residency for some amazing entertainer that I’ve never been fortunate to see somewhere else… and Mariah Carey is definitely not it.

I was fortunate enough to make it to Shania Twain’s final performance of her«Still The One» show at the Colosseum. First off, it was a phenominal show. Second, the staff at the Colosseum is great. I’ve been where they are. OK, maybe not the physical location but I have been an usher/greeter for other venues around town. I know what it takes to make the experience a smooth and memorable one for the guests. I know that it can be a thankless job at times with obnoxious drunk people giving you a hard time over the little details. It is difficult to maintain ones composure when they prevent you from doing your job. The staff at the Colosseum, though, were very professional and hospitable showing people where they needed to be in a rather large venue. There are many tiers to the Colosseum and several escalators you must take to go from the bottom to the top or anywhere in between. The staff knew exactly where to send people and knew exactly where each seat was. They are like old pros. Kudos to them. As for the venue as a whole, it is beautiful inside. I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. It is well designed and makes for a more enjoyable experience. I was thoroughly impressed by the stage. There is a massive section that can be raised and lowered for set changes. You get a great view from the top section where I was seated. I enjoyed he ambience as I waited for the show to begin. There was a forest scene with little woodland creatures scurrying about. There were birds chirpping over the PA system. There are Roman style paintings on either side of the stage. It is diffucult to get bored in here when in anticipation of a show. I hope I have a chance to come here again some time. They get some of the top headliners for some long term residencies so the chances are good that I will want to see another. I’m already thinking about Reba McIntyre with Brooks and Dunn. We shall see what else the future holds.

We received our year with JLO so what a great performance and way to start new years . When we got there they were offering free wine and champagne who doesnt want that. Unfornately the best tickets were for the high rollers so they were right at the front . We still had a good time even thou we were at mezzanine . If she performs again here most likely we will go back

Unilocal365CHALLENGE2014−(184÷365) «Sweet Spot» Wow! there really isn’t a bad spot in the house! Huge, spacious venue, comfy stadium style seating, great sound throughout the entire period. What more could you ask for? We came to see Shania Twain(Review of the show to follow) Special effects used for the show were great too. Upon entering, the ushers tell you that the usage of cameras, video recorders, and cellphones are not allowed, but unfortunately in this day and age of your i-Phones and Samsung Galaxies, that’s not gonna happen, especially if its the performer herself taking selfies with her fans! ALOHA!!! Shaka Meter: \uuu/\uuu/\uuu/\uuu/4

We came here to see Shania Twain and we had a great time. The venue is huge and the seats are comfortable and they all had cup holders! We were seated in the rear orchestra and we were able to see the stage with no issues. The stadium seating is a plus so even if a tall person with a big head sits in front of you, you don’t have to worry about your view being blocked. The ushers were friendly, but the lines at the concessions were long and moved a little slow. So make sure to get there a little early before show time if you want to purchase drinks. I was allowed to bring in a bottled water, but I’m not sure if they allow any other outside drinks. The line at the box office was long but it moved very quickly!
