Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace was probably one of the restaurants I was most looking forward to trying in Las Vegas and also was the most disappointing. We asked to sit outside along the strip and were told there was a 10 – 15 minute wait. We ventured outside to wait at the bar and noticed at least 5 tables with no occupants which still had people’s used plates, glasses and leftover food sitting out. The floor had garbage underneath nearly every table and there was dirt smudges all over the black and white checkered floor. We decided to wait inside, which was also not clean. My boyfriend made a good point, which was if the restaurant was this dirty, what did the kitchen look like? If I’d been at home, we would have left, but I really wanted to try the Frrrozen hot chocolate! We waited close to 10 minutes and were then seated at a table outside. It looked like ours and another table had been cleaned but there were no silverware settings. The other 3 tables near us were still covered in unwanted food remnants. Our table was next to the trash can/service area and two old chairs, one of which had a cigarette burn all the way through the cushion. Charming. The Frrrozen hot chocolate is billed as a blend of 20 different kinds of chocolate in «an icy cocoa concoction.» I ordered the regular size as well as three deep fried oreos. Oreos are not listed on the menu individually, but our server advised I could order them at $ 1.50 each. We also asked for waters which I had observed on each table with huge blue and pink straws. Not too long after, my hot chocolate and oreos arrived. Still had no water and no silverware. I asked the server for water again. If you see my photo of the hot chocolate, it had clearly been sitting in the kitchen for a little while, as it was presented to me with part of the drink melted in the plate below. A well-attended kitchen would have been sure to switch out the plate before presenting this $ 12 drink to a customer. Further, you can see that only half of the glass contains the actual hot chocolate. The rest is filled with whipped cream. The frrrozen hot chocolate was tasty, but I did not detect even a hint of there being 20 different kinds of chocolate, and I find that claim somewhat suspect. It did not take long to finish the chocolate part of the drink, which was disappointing, given I had almost an entire glass of whipped cream remaining. The oreos were battered in corn flakes, which I had never seen before. Not the prettiest presentation, but they were tasty. I finally got my water and napkins close to the time I was finishing my food. Surprisingly, my server told me at that time that my oreos were on the house. Overall, I would say to skip Serendipity 3 on your Las Vegas visit. It clearly is not well-managed and its servers are not set up to succeed. I saw a group of women at another table complaining to the manager about waiting over an hour for their food. He didn’t really seem to care, at least from my vantage point. Gone is the Serendipity 3 you may have seen featured on tv as I did, which seemed to show a well-kept, high end dessert shop. No one in their right mind would order the famous $ 1,000 sundae containing real gold flakes from this establishment.

I really cannot add more than what has been said in the other reviews. They have summed it up pretty well. This is a pricey establishment with average food. 4 of us had a Frrrrrozen Hot Chocolate each, shared an order of french fries and onion rings for the table and ended the evening with a $ 75 bill. Overpriced for the quality and amount of food. Our service waitstaff was very nice and made suggestions for what we should order. The food arrived relatively quickly considering how busy it was.

Overpriced and underwhelming. Came here on a busy Saturday night with some friends who were in town. At first we wanted to eat inside but it was such a cluster trying to figure out who to see about a table, who was waiting to be seated, who was waiting just to leave their name for a seat. I realize that Saturday nights on the Vegas strip are busy no matter where you go but it just seemed like there was no structure or organization here. Servers and bussers were running around, the hostess was nowhere to be found and after standing there for a good 5 minutes without so much as a hello from anyone, we decided to just go to the outside window and order. The line was long but moved pretty quickly. We each got a frozen hot chocolate. All I can say is that although it was good, in no way, shape or form was it worth $ 12. I suppose you go for the ambiance so had we been able to get properly noticed inside and had been able to enjoy it there, it may have been worth the cost. However, being completely ignored by the employees and having to wait outside in the cold for a $ 12 drink that I’m quite certain I could have made just as well at home is NOT my idea of a hit out of the park. Save your money, time and hassle by going somewhere else or at the very least check this place out at a less crowded time.

Nothing but yumminess at this place. It was my first time here; my cousin had been here before and wanted me to experience it. The waiter was great; very attentive and courteous. Unfortunately, I forgot his name. He was a handsome mixture of Ricky Martin and Drake. :) I can definately say that this great customer service made the overall experience that much better. Food portions are amazing; make sure you come hungry… or be ready to share a plate. I would recommend anyone going to Vegas to stop and enjoy some treats at Serendipity 3. If I ever hit a big jackpot, I would love nothing more than to try the $ 1000 sundae. ;)

Man… I think I hyped myself up too much for this place. Decided to stick with the original frozen hot chocolate. Boy, that drink is like diabetes in a cup. Super sweet. Drank about half of it and I was done. Tasted like Hershey’s chocolate syrup… nothing special.

I was so disappointed! This place is so overrated. I had to wait outside for 30 minutes for a table, and the desert heat didn’t help either. I probably raised my expectations too high after drooling at all the photos on Unilocal and wishing I were in Vegas. The actual food was just average. My friends’ eggs benedict were so overpriced(but then again, everything in Vegas is 2−5x normal) and not worth. My scramble was supposed to be made with egg whites and it turned out yellow. I didn’t bother asking them to redo it because they were so busy. By the time I flagged down a waiter to put the order in, the rest of my party would be finishing up and ready to get the check. The scramble had way too much spinach and the cheese not cooked enough. The frozen hot chocolate that everyone raves about was THE worst thing on the menu. It was like eating chopped ice cubes and cocoa powder. Just no. Plus, it’s not worth the price, maybe a little better if you share the larger size. For some real food that is worth your time and money, try getting out of the strip and supporting the local Vegas businesses.

3 words. Frozen hot chocolate. That’s what I hear the most about, and that’s the only item that I have tried, but it was amazing!!! A bit pricey, since it’s hot chocolate and all but it was good. I got their regular frozen hot chocolate and the frozen peanut butter hot chocolate. In my preference, I liked the regular one better than the peanut one because the peanut butter was too peanut buttery, if you know what I mean. It was just too overpowering of the hot chocolate flavor. The frozen hot chocolate were good. Imagine you were drinking a hot chocolate, but now cold and blended. It comes with the whipped cream and everything!

The 4 star review is for the food — but really the service left a lot to be desired. We ended up coming here immediately off the plane(on a Wednesday) and after we checked into our hotel. We got lucky and found a Groupon here and really just wanted some frozen hot chocolate and appetizers to tie us over until dinner time, without having to eat a full meal. So we came in probably around 2PM — and the place is for the most is empty — we had our choice of sitting outside or inside, and we chose a center booth inside. The location of the restaurant is great — it’s right on the strip — with outside seating facing the strip in front of Caesar’s Palace — you get some good foot traffic here so it’s good people watching :) Of note, even though it doesn’t say so on your Groupon(fine print), you cannot utilize your Groupon with the Total Rewards(players card) discount. Not a big deal, it’s a $ 1 savings, but it would be nice if they actually told us that. I’ll also say — the waiters aren’t super knowledgeable or they play stupid because they don’t want a «discounted tip» — because our waiter told us we can’t use our Groupon at all unless it’s for full menu meals(non-appetizers). We again did not see any of this in the fine print, so we asked our waiter to ask his manager, who after 10 minutes visible begrudgingly came out and said yes we could use the Groupon for anything. We ordered a large frozen hot chocolate($ 17) and nachos($ 18) — which was MORE than enough food to tie us over until dinner. It was a wonderful afternoon snack. Everything tasted GREAT — the frozen hot chocolate did not disappoint and neither did the nachos. So good job Serendipity on that! I’ve been to the Serendipity in NYC and the frozen hot chocolate is consistent and just as delicious in Vegas :) The reason for the down score of 1 star — our waiter made some off handed rude comments about what we ordered — granted we ordered 1 desert drink and an appetizer for 2 people — we are not particularly large people, rather average — and he made a comment about being fat and eating too much — which we let slide as it was our first hour in Vegas — but I will say the looks from the table next to us was like WTF. They even commented to us at the end of their meal that it was ridiculous and totally unfounded what the waiter said(clearly tip was now a factor as we were not going to be insulted and tip 20% on pre-discounted meal — we tipped 15% on the pre-discounted meal — also begrudgingly).

This place is a tourist trap! Consequently, I do find myself coming here from time to time. I would skip out on dining in. There are so many more places to eat at in Vegas! I’ve had their Pesto Pizza and it was just mediocre. You’ll pretty much be paying about $ 15-$ 16 for an extra flat piece of bread with bland toppings. 3 stars for the Frozen Hot Chocolate and Deep Fried Oreo Sundae or any of their ice cream for that matter. This place is excellent for getting your ice cream fix. The corn flake batter on the oreos was a nice touch! All of the sundaes are perfect for sharing because everything is super sweet and seems physically impossible to finish alone. If you are coming for dessert, it’s probably best to order outside because the lines are much shorter and faster. The con with this is that during the winter, it is extremely cold outside and you are forced to eat your ice cream under the heated tables, which makes it melt faster. We were also told that in order to sit indoors, we had to dine-in and order something more than dessert. Since the space is pretty small, I can understand why this would be a rule, but it’s also more of an inconvenience.

I was super excited to hear there is a Serendipity 3 in Las Vegas, as I had missed out on my chance to visit the location in NYC. We dropped by here for a weekday lunch and it was tolerable. We were seated in the smallest 2-person booth ever and the server was a bit disinterested, but nice. In that, when she bought out coffee, she did not offer any milks or sugars, but when asked, she was like: Of course! And went to get the items. This was a recurring theme. We shared a BBQ chicken pizza which was enough to fill our bellies. However, the flavor of the pizza was lacking. I asked for parmesan cheese and red chili flakes when the pizza was brought out(normally, those items are brought out as soon as you place your order). She came back with just the chili flakes. I wasn’t even about to ask for Sriracha, since they probably didn’t have it(they did not have sugar in the raw for our coffees). My hot water tasted weird. So yeah, the dining-in experience was just eh and due to that I wasn’t interested in ordering their famous frozen hot chocolate and having to endure sitting any longer. I ordered my frozen hot chocolate drink at their take-out window which was also another lacking experience, but by design, as it was a take-out window only. However it was also my mistake for getting the white chocolate version of the drink which was just kind of oily tasting. Their restrooms are outside the restaurant past the take-out window and winding underneath the building. It kind of looked sketch, but the restrooms themselves were clean for being so public. Just a lacking visit, but I’m glad I’m no longer left wondering, so there’s that!

I know a lot of people hate on Serendipity because of the service, but coming here many times — because the husband loves it — I’ve only had good things. The hostess may need a little work, but the servers were great. BREAKFAST: I always get the eggs benedict everywhere I go. It’s always been my favorite. And it’s pretty good here. Not the best, but it’s a standard eggs benedict. DINNER: Ahi Tuna salad — I actually liked it. It was light and the salad dressing is Ponzo which is AH-MAZING. I ate it all. DESSERT: Frozen Hot Chocolate… that’s amazing. We had the red velvet sundae, but it’s not as amazing as the FROZOCHOCO. SERVICE: Pretty good. Marnie and Marissa have been our servers. AMBIANCE: No smoking… that wins. OVERALL: Good. Very cute place for a date.

Overall, yum-may. Ordered the frozen hot chocolate and wagyu sliders. Have to admit, the frozen hot chocolate was surprisingly very good. Found it hard to stop drinking. It’s different and something everyone should try at least to say you’ve had it. Wagyu sliders were VERY pleasing to the taste buds as well. Expensive, but it’s Vegas. Minis 1 star for the service. It’s a pet peeve of mine to witness no sense of urgency when urgency is needed. Plenty of tables, yet the wait was still 25 min(as was accurately predicted by the hostess), but the staff needs to learn how to be more efficient. Sat and watched the waiters take their time in everything they did while looking miserable. At least pretend to be somewhat happy people for the sober folk that can actually see your faces clearly. I’d come back again. I want to try the birthday ice cream cake. It was featured on the food network, but definitely something that requires 3+ people to finish.

A much better improvement compared to last year! Amazing service! The greeter was very friendly and seated us super quickly! The waiter was very helpful in offering us the best selection in desserts and snacks. We ordered the frozen hot chocolate for two, the deep fried Oreo cookies and cream sundae, and the sweet potato fries. All were delicious. And I would totally recommend them! Total came to $ 45. Would definitely come back again. Loved it!

I’ve had 2 completely different experiences on 2 separate occasions. I dined there once upon a time and ordered a flatbread pizza, fries, and frozen hot chocolate. The flatbread pizza and fries seemed like things I can get back home at a chain restaurant. The frozen hot chocolate was just like a cold icy blended chocolate drink. The food was forgettable, I was somewhat sober. Then I went there recently and got an oreo frozen hot chocolate to go. It was so good, I was somewhat drunk. You’re probably thinking that the change in opinions was due to intoxication but I had tried the frozen hot chocolate side by side next to the oreo version when we got it to go and still felt indifferent toward the original frozen hot chocolate. I mean it was good like how chocolate is good but it wasn’t great. The oreo frozen hot chocolate was amazing. It really depends on your tastebuds because one of the girls tried the oreo frozen hot chocolate, thought it was too sweet, and liked the original frozen hot chocolate flavor better. My opinion on the flatbread pizza and fries still stands. I would give them 4 – 5 stars on that oreo frozen hot chocolate alone but let’s not be biased now. The surrounding patio is a chill atmosphere to choose to sit at if you’re dining in on a warm sunny day.

The Frrrozen Hot Chocolates alone get four stars. I ordered the chocolate and peanut butter version to share with my husband, and it was divine. Not sure what they do to make that peanut butter sauce, but I wanted to lick the plate and bowl clean! My cousin went with the original, which I guess she never deviates from. She took a taste of the peanut butter version, though, and quickly feel in love. How could you not? Chocolatey peanut buttery goodness covered in whipped cream? Yes, please! We actually went for breakfast on our last day in town. They were busy, but got steadily more so as we sat there. Our waitress was friendly but distracted; she might have had too many tables to worry about. I wasn’t particularly hungry, but I knew that the portion sizes were large. Knowing, as well, that we’d be in a car for five hours, I decided to order the Fresh Bread Basket, in the hopes that whatever wasn’t consumed at the table could be available for munching during the road trip home. My husband ordered the oatmeal and coffee, and my cousin got the Benedict. I admit to being more than a little disappointed in the bead basket. The items — biscuit, croissant, muffin and cinnamon roll — were anything but fresh. They weren’t even warm. The biscuit, which my cousin was raving about(it was the base of her Benedict) was hard and crumbly and ice box cold. Crumbly I can handle. Cold and hard, not so much. I had to wash every bite down with a sip of water. The croissant was the best thing in the basket, and also the smallest, and the last thing I ate there. The muffin, half of the biscuit and cinnamon roll came with us for the trip. The muffin was the only thing consumed at a later date(my breakfast the following morning). The croissant and the muffin were definitely the best things on that plate. My husband enjoyed the oatmeal, but thought it was overpriced for what he got. I mean, it was oatmeal, after all, and even an apple crisp garnish can’t fancy it up enough to justify the cost. My cousin, meanwhile, loved her Benedict. I guess that counts for something. I’d definitely want to go back, if just for the chocolate alone. I may want to give the food another shot, but it wouldn’t be my first dining choice when in Vegas.

This place is soooo overrated!!! I have been wanting to try this place for the longestttttt time and finally I had the opportunity to try it. We went in and waited 5 minutes just to get seated. We were seated and ready to order but no one even came by after 10mins we just walked out and I decided that I would just order to the to go line. Got the frozen hot chocolate and had a sip I was sooo not impressed. I actually didn’t even enjoy it one bit. It’s totally a waste of money and I wouldn’t even come back. At least it’s off my bookmarks of places to try. Should’ve listened to the other Unilocalers who said the same thing. Overpriced…Overrated and Bleh!

So this place has always been bitter sweet for me. I have dined at the Serendipity twice in NYC and I fell in love with the shake batter and bowl AND their chicken pot pie. When they opened one here, I was chomping at the bit to relive my love affair. It’s not on the menu. I asked and they said it was a different menu because its regional. I understood because not everyone in Vegas wants pot pie in the summer. Still sad. I do have to say the Mac n cheese and spaghetti are good. I’ve tried other dishes here and those were the better ones. Now a days, I skip the meals and dig right into dessert. I really don’t know which are my favorites now because my favorite sundaes are now gone. I loved the Strawberry Fields or the Humble Pie sundae. Again, I asked why and they mentioned that they weren’t really selling and they like to try new things. I’m really afraid of loving another sundae here because it may disappear. It’s like dating men over and over who have intimacy issues. I come here when guests are in town, so maybe 4 – 5 times a year. This place has always been a hit with my guests. So here is my Serendipity tip: Make reservations especially in the summer. It’s the Strip, reservations by phone or Opentable are very helpful.

We were walking out of Caesars Palace and trying to get back on the strip. As luck would have it, we were on the back side of Serendipity 3. Yes, the ever famous Serendipity from the movies, and the place that the celebrities go to. They are known for their frozen hot chocolate. I wasn’t feeling the wait and nothing on the menu really interested me. However, I had to try the frozen hot chocolate. On the back side of Serendipity 3, where I was at, they had a take out window. Yay, I was finally going to get to try the frozen hot chocolate! They had a lot of tables and seats back there, so it was take your pick. Be careful to look before you sit though, because a lot of the seats had bird poop. I went up to the window and ordered my frozen hot chocolate. It was $ 10 and served in one of those plastic drink cups. I was actually watching the woman make it. She had chocolate syrup and threw it into the blender with some ice. Then, she added whip cream on the top with chocolate shavings. Was it worth the $ 10, probably not. I’m going to have to agree with all the other reviews that said it tasted like Swiss Miss blended with ice. You could probably make this at home for 40 cents. At least I can say that I actually tried it. Another food item crossed off my list.

You know those Ask Google commercials that have been popping up everywhere on the YouTube channels and television? I got a new one: «Google — Is Serendipity 3 in Las Vegas the actual THIRD Serendipity store?» Don’t laugh at my confession: I thought this was the third Serendipity to exist in the United States. Third. Tres. Three. As in there are two other stores by the same name in America. Probably Manhattan because Kate Becksinale and John Cusack fell in love over frozen hot chocolate. Next time, I’ll ask Google. There is more than a smattering of reviews on this page about the alleged terrible service here. As with most things in Vegas, it’s all relative to the time and day you go. 8:00 pm on a Saturday night? You are going to have a bad time waiting. 3:00 pm on a weekday afternoon? Zero line. Zero wait. And… impeccable service. On my last visit, I ordered the deep fried Oreo sundae. Different than your average carnival food, the deep fried Oreos concocted are showered in crispy cornflakes. Certainly a welcome change in texture from the oiled globs of dough that usually adorn these cookies. Perfect all around to satiate your sweet tooth. They offer numerous items ranging from savory to the decadently sweet. My advice is to stick with the sweet stuff. By the way — do you guys see my picture of the deep fried Oreo sundae? I ate the whole thing by myself.

Ehhh… only come here if you’re desperate to try their restaurant staple; the frozen hot chocolate. It’s basically just taste like a chocolate milkshake. You can add extra fixins/toppings to your hearts content. Personally, I’m not a fan of sweets so I can definitely forego this item. Food-wise…this is really below average. They serve your typical American food; hotdogs, onion rings, burgers and sandwiches, small bite tacos, pizza, a couple of pasta dishes and appetizers like nachos. I ordered the Three Amigos Tacos with my choice of crispy fried fish. It was bland… even if I added pico de gallo, squeezed the hell outta the lime. My friend’s Chicago hot dog was hugeeeeeee!!! This will definitely fill you up. This place is definitely a tourist trap. Especially to those who’ve seen the movie. Restaurant was dirty too. Stains on the tables and chairs. Yuck! I came here once in 2011… thought the restaurant was A-OK. 4 years later… it’s still the same.

Gute drei Sterne.
