I enjoy a superfluous arena with the best of them. I mean: does Las Vegas really need so many of them? Las Vegas Arena (under construction), Grand Garden, MB Events Centre, Thomas & Mack, Southpoint, this one. And we don’t even have a professional sports franchise anymore with the Wranglers folding (thanks to Boyd).
Now: I have been here a few times. The parking is copious, the bus (Tropicana) stops right in front of the casino, and there are several shitty chain fast food restaurants in the food court across from the poker room which is on the northern end of the casino, which is closest to arena. They even have a bike rack*! *North end of parking, street level.
I don’t particularly marvel at the fact that Orleans Arena suddenly kicked Las Vegas’s hockey team (
) at the end of their final season and left fans assed out when the plan to unrealistically build a structure on the roof of the Plaza fell through. I digress.
In any case, the Orleans Arena serves its purpose. It ain’t perfect and it isn’t Earth-​shattering, however any town would be happy to have her so I will not be especially cruel with my rating even though I was on-​board to boycott on account of the saltiness of Wranglers-​gate. I do maintain a fond memory of them permitting me to check a bag in the coat check once and the ticket scanners are always kind enough although the ushers can and usually do get crabby.

We do need to break this curse of not having a professional sporting franchise …
We need to find some première event to be hosted by the Orleans Arena so that it is put on the map. Bring on Engelbert Humperdinck!

Rating: Three-​stars, «A-​OK.»

The arena it’s self it’s a good arena. I gave it a 1 star cause they kicked out the Wranglers. which was our minor league hockey team in the ECHL (East Coast Hockey League) if you didn’t know. But we are supposed to get a NHL team here in Vegas so we can’t have a minor league and a professional league in the same town.

Arena location was great, parking was easy — more signage would be helpful outside.

Nice arena really shitty staffing, 2 poor ladies at the line with 4 registers. LV is the city of lines that are all avoidable if anyone had any brains. Stupid town in many ways.

This venue is a fun place to see a concert or whatever they have going on. I really miss the hockey games they used to have. The ticket prices are quite reasonable as well as the prices at the snack bars (compared to other venues) The employees are really friendly and helpful and it is easy to get in and out of the place. I just wish they had more appealing things going on like the use to.

From memory I have seen a concert which was called «Old School Freestyle Explosion» which is basically all 80’s and 90’s pop R n B bands. Ok, I grew up in the 80’s. Judge me all you want. I have also seen a Mythbusters interactive show special with my kids along with a Sesame Street Dance Show just recently which was the most boring thing ever. At least my kids had fun. Thats what it was for right? The kids.
Plenty of parking and making your way to the arena is a breeze as well leaving is just as easy. Maybe its because it is not located directly on the strip. Compared to other arenas in the Vegas area I would say this ranks #1 with the Mandalay Events Center a close second. Worst ever would be the MGM Grand Arena. Refer to my review.
Sound and lighting has been on point from all the times I have gone here. Just about anywhere you sit is a good view. Love the stadium style seating. Even the bathrooms are easy access.
Of course the only negative things if there were such a thing would be the overpriced concessions but if you ask me that is normal at any stadium or arena. Just eat a good meal before coming here and you are set.
Overall, any time I find out there is a show that interests me and it just happens to be at the Orleans Arena makes my decision to buy those tickets even sweeter.

If you’re not from Las Vegas and you first hear about the Orleans Arena, you need to know this is not a «typical» arena. It doesn’t have 18,000+ seats. Take a typical NBA /​NHL arena, remove the upper deck, and then cut off the North end to put in a stage and you end up with a large U shape. While it’s not the typical arena layout, the Boyd Group has built something special and you will enjoy almost any event you attend here.
Location access: Easy to get to from I-​15, it’s located about ½ mile West of the 15.
Parking: Free and there’s plenty of it. Traffic management could be better after an event but it’s still easier to get in and out of than almost every other arena I’ve been in.
Building Access: If the escalators are in use access is easy. If you’re attending a smaller event like a high school graduation be prepared for the stairs. It’s a bit of a climb.
Concourse: Even when it’s busy I didn’t feel claustrophobic in here. The concourse is wide and foot traffic seems to flow easily.
Concessions: Typical arena food choices… but at reasonable prices! No $ 15 hotdogs here!
Seating: The Orleans Arena labels each entrance to the seating area as a «Portal». The portal numbers make it easy to meet up with people and to find your seats.
Sound Quality: This is one arena that doesn’t sound like the audio is muddled or overly amplified. I’ve been to venues where the sound system gave me a headache but that hasn’t happened here.
Lighting: The ribbon boards can be a little annoying as they can dramatically change the lighting during certain events. It’s annoying enough that I heard grumbles from people sitting around me more than once. Beyond the ribbon boards I noticed no issues with the lighting. (Unlike some other arenas that I won’t name… but are not that far away).
Facility Staff: Friendly, professional, and courteous. I have no complaints.
Oh and one more thing. The Orleans Arena is a certified LEED GOLD facility. An arena with LEED certification? Yes, it can be done and the Orleans is proof of it.
Overall this is a great place to attend an event as it’s just big enough to handle medium sized events, but not so big that you feel lost in the place.

I’ve been here several times for different events, and it is a very nice arena.
There are several entrances, as well as plenty of room at the top to walk around should you want.
Finding your seats is very easy (which is very important for scatterbrains like me.)
The arena itself isn’t too big, which helps, but it was great.

Always a great venue for any event! Valet to save time getting in and out of the resort! get here early to make sure you bypass the lines, grab cheap drinks and reasonably priced snacks!

I worked at the Orleans back in the 90’s and was part of some of the growth but was no longer employed when they built the arena. After a few visits, I felt as connected to this arena as I have every other part of the property.
On my most recent visit I took in a circus… much to the dismay of the protestors located around the entrances. I did not witness anything that would have caused me to join PETA.
Other events include multiple Wrangler games, K-​9 Trials, and a Star Wars performed by an orchestra event.
The venue is easy to negotiate. The sound is good to go. The food is palatable. Most importantly there is not a bad seat in the house!

Snuck in here and watched most of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s set! Sounded great in there, got a sweet isle seat, and the price was perfect!!! I’d go back in a second. Great job to the sound engineer, smashing performance from the band, and a huge thank you/​shout out to security for doing whatever else you were up to while I walked in and had a sweet time!!! Happy new year :)

This was my first visit to the Orleans Arena, though my husband’s been here before. Generally I’m not a fan of arenas, since I dislike the crowds, the huge walk that’s always involved to get to it, the overpriced refreshments…
But Orleans seemed different: smaller, extremely well-​organized, friendly personnel, a ton of accessible parking that didn’t involve a 5K to get to it, refreshments that seemed much more affordable than the usual venue rip-​off pricing (though we didn’t partake), and a ladies’ room with a huge number of stalls.
I definitely won’t hesitate to come back here!

Family time at Wrangler Hockey game. Plesantly surprised to see healthier food options like pitas, rice bowls & paninis. The concessions people gave us extra chips because we passed on the cheese.

As far as sporting or concert arenas go, this place is top notch! I have watched countless Wranglers games here and can safely say there is not a bad seat in the house. The luxury suites are superb and offer a terrific view of the game, which is not a common occurrence as most suites are typically very far up from the action on the ice, court, or field.
Getting in and out of the Arena is typically a breeze with ample parking to be found at The Orleans casino. Food and beverage prices are not bad compared to other major arenas and stadiums. The staff is super friendly as well.

I Like it!
The Orleans Arena is a smaller arena and less «grand» thank the MGM, the Joint and other facilities in Vegas. Here is what I like and why it deserves a 4 star:
a. Parking — Very easy and close to the venue. Unlike the MGM and the Hard Rock /​Joint, where you have to park with casino parking, the Orleans has plenty of surface parking adjacent to the entrance of the actual arena.
b. Skyboxes — The venue has sky boxes that are permanent and can be used for great entertainment and viewing of events.
c. Seating — Very nice, comfortable and good views.
The only issue with it not being a 5 star is I would minus a star because the entrance is a bit tight and you can easily be exposed to the outdoors if you are parking in the outdoor parking lot. If it is 35 degrees in Vegas, You are going to be very cold.
Great place, check it out if the opportunity exists…

I have been to Orleans Arena for a number of different shows and occasions. The parking is convenient and much more easily accessible than many other venues in town.
I’ve seen everything from the circus to police dog competitions to my most recent visit for Trans Soberian Orchestra and each time no matter where I sit, our view is good and acoustics are as well.
So many local events are held here so I find myself here pretty often and I’m always pleased by how organized and well-​equipped the venue is.

Smaller type area. Every seat is great. They had aircondioning which I liked but one of my friends was cold so bring a light jacket. We went for Geico Endurocross. The venue gave out free drink tickets for after so we stayed at the casino for a couple hours after the show. Overall, great times and will hopefully see some more shows at this venue.

Recently I’ve been attending Wrangler games here, okay maybe for the last couple years. I know my favorite seats and they are located either in sections 118 (seats 1 – 2), and 115 (seats 17 – 18). You save about $ 20 from the next tier section (sections 116 and 117), but you’ll sit by the aisle, and have a good view of the game.
It’s not a packed arena so you can move around if you want obviously but if you want to purchase legit decent seats then this is your best bet.
Call the box office to buy your tickets and ask specifically for these seats! You’ll have to go to Will Call to pick up your tickets but it’s at least by the entrance to the stadium.

Perfect place for a family night. We were invited by our friends to see a hockey game for a local school fundraiser and it was fun getting the kids out to finally see a live game.
This was the first athletic event that I’ve been to in Vegas. I miss going to see the Phoenix Suns play and all the arena events back home so this was a somber reminder that I wasn’t back home cheering for the Coyotes:(Military obligations are keeping us here and since the Nellis AFB is the largest employer in Vegas, the city makes a big effort to embrace the families and provide plenty of sponsored activities and discounts at arena games so I am definitely grateful to Las Vegas businesses for that.
Back home we were spoiled with new giant flashy arena’s and I spent most of my time in boxes courtesy of the company I worked for or as a guest. Lots of suites here too but we sat out in the arena with our group. Since the arena is not too big you won’t spend a lot of time walking to get snacks or use the restrooms so that’s a big plus.

Now that I’m a bit more familiar maybe next time I’ll have to catch a Disney on Ice show with the kids.
