always a good time. not very expensive about $ 40 bucks to get in and your average package with the 40 gives you 2 drinks to try. its a must see. there are multiple locations on the strip now too so you can choose where you want to go. don’t wear shorts lol

There are two locations in Vegas, one at Mandalay Bay & the other at Monte Carlo. We visited the Monte Carlo location and it was a pretty neat experience. My mom purchased this excursion for us through Groupon, because the cost is cheaper than you can buy directly from their site. We did the Two Cocktail Experience where you get a parka & gloves along with your choice of two specialty cocktails and a complimentary photo that they e-mail to you. You can’t bring any electronic devices in the bar, so they give you a locker to store your things. I know it’s obvious to say, but it is pretty darn cold in there. The decorations and ice sculptures located throughout are super neat and the fur covered seats are a nice touch. The drinks are served in glass cups and it is definitely a unique experience. My husband and I spent around 15 minutes in there before we left. We went in the afternoon, so the bar wasn’t super exciting. I think it would be tons better if you visited late night when there is more of a crowd. I think we would do it again for sure.

Always my favorite thing to do in Vegas. 3 drinks and 2 shots, 2 fur coats and a hat all included in the $ 79 offer. Funny story. they remodeled this location and there’s kind of a secluded area; My bf and I were sitting there and the bartender forgot we were in there. and we thought we were locked in. and I assumed we would freeze to death. finally realized we could get out and the bartender was shocked to see us walk out. such a fun. Go, enjoy being cold, & order the snowman: D

We bought the $ 55 groupon and all went during the day. We were the only ones there. The front desk girl was in a bad mood as well as the girl who printed our pictures. Both would rather not have to help a customer. The only nice thing about the place was the bartender. He was very personable and nice. Yeah, the ice is cool but we didn’t get to put on the fur coats so that sucked only some blue coats. You have to play $ 75 for the fur coat lol, the drinks are well and not worth it. Skip this place

If I could give them Minus 5 stars I would. My boyfriend and I stayed at Mandalay Bay this past weekend. I have been to an ice bar before, but he had not, and he was excited to go here. We rode the escalator up to Minus 5. Two young girls(probably around 18 or so) were behind the register. Instead of greeting us, they put a preprinted menu of options in front of us to choose from. They never explained anything to us, but pointed and said«this is the most popular one». We paid, and then my boyfriend decided to leave the tip section blank because they were incredibly rude. They never even said«hi welcome to Minus 5» or anything. Just handed us a menu. One of the girls said something snide to her friend, and proceeded to take us, again, without a hint of a smile or ANYTHING to our locker, pointed to them and told us to put our various things in it. At that point i said, you know what, we want to get our money back. Then it got worse. The manager came out, didn’t even look at us, went behind the register and put her key in. She pulled out the receipt that included our refund, and handed us a pen. SHENEVERSAID A WORD. Didn’t ask us anything about why we wanted a refund. NADAZIP, ZERO. She walked away. If the manager is going to act like that, you can’t really blame the cashiers for being rude… The worst customer service i’ve ever experienced in my life. It was so surreal. Hey, at least we got a refund.

A different experience and a welcomed break from the Las Vegas heat. The bartender was very courteous and the drinks were good.

Haven’t tried the«experience» but I did grab one of their frozen daiquiris. I had the frozen coconut. It was arguably my least favorite frozen daiquiri I’ve had in Vegas. It’s not undrinkable but it had a strange taste to it. It also didn’t taste like there was a drop of alcohol in it. At least you taste some at Evening Call and Fat Tuesday. I wouldn’t bother getting one from here again.

Basically paid $ 40/person to stand in a freezer and have 2 small drinks. Pretty sure everything made of «ice» was really plastic(except for the glasses). Very small room, very limited drink selection, very cold(obviously), VERYOVERPRICED. Music and drinks were okay and the whole thing was neat at first but after about 5 minutes you start wondering why you paid so much to go in there. The worst part was that they don’t allow any cameras or cell phones, and instead have a photographer taking pictures which they try to sell to you for $ 20 a piece. Cool to experience but not worth the money at all.

we came here today. They were open from 11am-3pm located in Mandalay Bay. I heard it was renovated. Once you get there you pay for the cover and drinks if you want in the outside bar. Then they give you a parka and gloves. The fur coat is extra $ 20. Wear booties because they no longer provide them. They’ll also give you a locker to put all your belongings in, including cameras, wallet & phones. You can’t take photos inside. Once we enter, I see the place is quite small. I like the clubby house music and the leds. also I like the sculptures, there was Game of throne sculpture. There are coasters to put your icecup. There are choices of about 7 – 10 vodka mixed drinks and most are fruity. I had the iced coffee which was good. I have been to The ice hotel in Quebec so I wasn’t as excited but for others, it’s something cool to see. It’s awesome to this exist especially with this location being the only one in the US, and in the desert.

Guys. Seriously. Skip this place. It’s not worth it. So many better things to do in town. They have you use the same ice glass for all of your drinks. So after you finish your drink, you bring your glass back and the bartender uses the SAME swizzle stick she uses in everybody else’s USED ice glasses to stir your drink. GROSS! UNSANITARY! It’s overpriced. The ice room is really small. You’ll get cold pretty fast so you don’t want to be in there long. The drinks tasted like death. There is nowhere to set your drink, as it can slide off and break easily. My friends ice glass got a hole in it from melting and they wouldn’t replace it. They don’t let you bring in your belongings and will charge you for one of their pictures they take. Tourist trap. Not worth the short, lame experience. Trust me. I’m not really sure why I’m giving them 2 stars except the ice room is kind of cool for 5 seconds.

What a joke. Hours say they are open till 2AM our group shows up at 1AM and the rude bartender wouldn’t let us in. Don’t advertise your hours till 2 if you close at 1. I would leave ZEROSTARS if Unilocal let me. Don’t waste your time with this place. I asked him if we could just look in side and take a picture and he said no pictures you have to pay for those. Better places to be in Vegas.

Take a shot of vodka and stick your head in the freezer, you’ll save about $ 80. Also, you’re allowed to bring your phone in that freezer, but not this one. Cool idea, but a scam nonetheless. We stayed for about ten minutes.

This bar has so much potential if it wasn’t so costly. It’s a good one time experience. Total cost was $ 115 for 2 people; 1 fuzzy coat and hat and he had a blue jacket and gloves. The gloves just didn’t cut it. The bar itself is really neat. The cost included 2 drinks, which were really small, but drinking out of a cup made of pure ice made it worthwhile. The bartender was great and funny. My advice is ladies. do not wear open toed shoes because not matter how warm your body is, if your feet are exposed to that temperature you won’t make it very long. I think I lasted about 20 min and had to leave. The price also included a pic because you can’t take pics inside and the photographer I believe has never taken pics before because ours turned out bad and the color was missing a few cartridges. Overall it was too expensive for 20 minutes of freezing my a@@ off!

Bottom line up front, it’s Expensive but it’s an experience like no other so you have to at least do it once. First and foremost, it’s $ 20 per person, just to get in! This gets you the coat and these gloves that pretty much only keep the solid ice glassware that they serve their over priced drinks. We bought the VIP experience which included 2 drinks(which are the size of a chaser if you know what those are) and a 5×7 picture. The quality of the pictures are meh. They printer they use reproduces a picture NOTHING Iike the one on the screen Total cost was $ 115 for 2 people. Conclusion, worth a try because its unique, but once is more than enough in a lifetime.

So noticed some reviews less than stellar. So here is what you need to expect before coming here. Smaller type bar that can accommodate 20 or so comfortably. Never too busy as you can usually last 20 – 30 minutes before getting too cold. A bit pricey but you get a good pour on your drink and you are paying for the experience. If you are with a local they offer a discount. Most everything is made of ice. The seats have rugs to sit on to keep butts warm. Jackets are sufficient to keep you warm and reason we left after 30 minutes was cold face. A few cool touches like a big kings chair made of ice. The drinks are served in a glass made of ice and you need their gloves to pick up the glass. Be prepared to leave cell phones in lockers as they have a photographer walking around taking pics. Once you leave you can look at the pictures or the web site posts them. Very expensive to buy so take a lot of mental pictures. Once you are done you are in the middle of a casino so have fun!

This place is a bit tiny but a cool experience nonetheless, pun intended… Kind of an interesting experience that likely isn’t available in most places. You essentially pay a fee, put on a large parka, go into a bar that is literally freezing and drink ice cold drinks out of cups made of ice. The bartenders and service is pretty much average and the experience is literally a once in a lifetime thing for me. Likely wouldn’t visit again, but this place may be cool for someone visiting Vegas for the first time. Pros– Icey Uniqueness Everything is made of ice Atmosphere Ice sculpture Drink temp Cons– Pricey Small venue Average service Parkas are heavily used Kind of random for some reason

It’s a fun experience and the drinks were great but I don’t think it would be necessary to come here whenever you’re in vegas. It’s an awesome concept and I like how the ice sculptures were LED illuminated. They also played great music. You literally drink from a frozen ice cup and the seats are also made of ice that had fur seat covers. $ 20 include the entrance fee, jacket, gloves, and locker rental. There are other options like VIP, etc. You pay separately for the drinks inside. No phones or cameras allowed but they do have a photographer inside for another fee of course. The place is also a bit small. Regardless, it was an interesting experience.

Ah! The Minus Five lounge was pretty incredible with their ice sculptures and philosophy on frozen cups to drink shots. We went with a group of 8 and overall, had a good experience. The waiter got all pissed off when we asked for new ice glasses(because we lost track of who’s glasses was who’s. Overall, you should go here. Bring extra layers of clothes and socks! They weren’t kidding about minus five degrees! The drinks by the way, sneak up on you!

Visited March 2013 I begged my husband to try this… he hates the cold. He finally agreed & was able to get us free entry & a free shot by playing the my Vegas game on Facebook. It’s a once in a lifetime thing. They give you a free jacket & some thin gloves to wear. Once inside you are not allowed to take pics. We went to the one in the Monte Carlo. The bartender was very nice. They have a small drink menu but the drink we had was good. All drinks are served in a glass made of ice & they tell you to hold it with 2 hands… it can get slippery :) We were only inside for about 15 minutes, that’s all the hubby could handle. If you’re in Vegas this is a must do!

So my close friend and I were super pumped to go to Minus 5. .. We were worried about a crowd because it seemed so cool. We arrived and the team was super nice and engaged! We walked up to the counter and we were presented with a very touristy list of options. .. We selected the«most popular» one. Please be prepared to separate from your phones. .. We placed our phones in a locker(no selfie action allowed — Revenue leakage). .. Totally unexpected but we went with the flow. The hostess provided coats and gloves. When we got to the back, we were the only guests(I am sure it was because it was about 6PM). They have a full bar but we ordered the specialty drinks(two drinks were included in the package). .. We didn’t like the mojito drink(too sweet and didn’t actually taste like a mojito), the other drink had a cherry vodka in it and was pretty tasty. The room was made of complete ice including the cups we were drinking out of. Shortly after arriving in the bar area the photographer came in the back for a photo session. We finished our drinks while listening to the bartender tell stories. .. At first it seemed friendly but then it started to feel intrusive(perhaps he was bored). .. All he needed was a drink and he would have been a guest like my friend and I. Very touristy experience. . It wasn’t what I expected.

This is one of those places you just try, just to try. I know what you’re thinking. Why would you want to hang out in a negative 5 degree room just to have your drink constantly cold? Because. That’s why. They don’t let you bring your phones in so they can charge you $ 20 per photo inside. I’m glad I tried it. You should try it too. Just once.

This place is pretty COOL!(See what I did there) If you’re going with someone or group in even numbers, I’d suggest you pick the VIP package and split the bill because it’s the same price as the 2nd choice(their other popular one) The VIP package comes with entry, gloves, two fur coats, one hat that you get to KEEP!, two free drinks — one each, and also a picture they take professionally for you! It’s a pretty awesome package! As we entered(and yes) EVERYTHING was made out of ice! It was pretty awesome! From chairs, to cups, tables, walls, everything! I ordered two Frosty mojitos and the bartender made it delicious! — with a great attitude! The lounge is small and you probably could only handle 30 minutes to an hour of being there because it’s really cold — obviously. BUT it’s a great experience to see in person!

This place is so completely awesome! I was so glad to experience this on my trip to Vegas. The staff were great, especially the photographer! He was soo funny and gave us lots of ideas for great pictures. The bartender was also really funny and made yummy drinks for us. No cell phones allowed inside. But they had lockers to put your things in. My girlfriends and I got the fur coats & gloves which kept us super warm. The place is a bit small. But there was lots of seating. I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

Our friend took us here the very 1st time we went to Vegas and I’m glad he did. If your ever in Vegas come here. This place is amazing, when you enter the area it is literally minus 5 degrees, super cold. Everything is ice the tables, sculptures, bar and shot glasses. Perfect, especially on a hot day. They give you a jacket to wear, gloves for your hands, and booties to put over your shoes so you don’t slip. Their are lockers here so ladies you can put your purse inside rest assured. It’s advised you don’t bring your camera or cell phone as it could get damaged from the temperature. One of the staff members will be walking around taking pictures after your done chilling you can purchase the pictures I believe there $ 10 – 15??. There’s no time limit but a person can only endure so much. Really nice ice bar.

This by far was the BEST experience of my trip! The ice bar is a great concept! My 3 friends and I enjoyed this adventure 2 nights ago! The staff was great and the vodka cocktails were tasty! We had on our freezer jackets and managed to stay in the bar for an hour. The ice sculptures were super cool and the bartender was great too! I would recommend this activity for groups of friends looking for a neat cocktail hour!

Gave 4 stars only because you couldn’t bring in your own camera and it’s a little small but thankfully there wasn’t a huge crowd when we went! Really cool place, great drinks, a must go to place especially when it’s 115 degrees outside! This made our stay at the horrible Mandalay Bay hotel!

It was pretty cool… Until the novelty wore off… Which was pretty fast. Definitely bundle up if you’re heading here. You’ll get a souvenir fur hat to keep and a parka/fur coat(depending on your package) and gloves to help you stay warm. No cell phones allowed. Drinks were decent and the décor was beautiful.(Dat detail.) I was honestly expecting more though. The place was pretty empty for a lounge… And pretty small. I was honestly expecting some louder music, lights, maybe some dancing…(It’s Vegas after all.) At the least, it would have been nice to see some other signs of life other than the bartender and the two very drunk women there before us.(Lots of broken glasses.) It honestly got very boring very fast. Service was friendly though. Tldr;; You get what you pay for: a drink in an room carved of ice. That’s it.

My friend really wanted to come here and check it out, so we were like sure. It was nice that the lounge was inside the hotel that we were staying at, The Monte Carlo, so we didn’t have to travel far. They have several different packages that you can purchase. I went with the two cocktail experience, which is $ 39. With that, you get admission into the lounge, use of their parka and gloves, and 2 drinks. My friend upgraded and did the total VIP experience, where you a fur coat instead of a parka. And you also get a cool fur hat and a picture with that VIP package. You can’t bring in any purses or phones, but they have little lockers that you can rent. You walk in and its pretty cool to look at-there’s ice carvings and sculptures and the seats & tables are made out of ice. Everything inside the bar is completely made of ice. Even the ice glasses that our drinks came in. After you’re done drinking, the bartender throws the glass away into the trash. We ended up only staying in there for like maybe 30 minutes, because its –5 degrees in there! So cold. brr…There’s several different areas where you can sit at and enjoy the experience. Would I come back here again? Probably not, it’s just one of those experiences that isn’t worth repeating.

The only thing colder than their air is their pricing plan. Would you like to spend $ 20 to walk into a freezer? This is your place. Do you like to be forced to stow away your phone so they can attempt to charge you another $ 20 for a print of a photo? This is your place. Do you like to say«so… this was cool» within a minute or two? This is your place. If you’d rather not fall into a tourist trap… this isn’t your place.

LODGEBAR: This is a review for the Lodge Bar which is the regular warm up bar with lots of TV screens that play sound. We were able to watch the Warriors basketball game on all screens and hear. It was great. Definitely go here if you want to hear and watch the game in a more intimate atmosphere. This is a hidden gem. FOOD: Free buttered popcorn. Drinks were good. Bartender was attentive and nice. Food ordering is different in that you have to order by phone to a different restaurant and they deliver it to you at the bar and you pay for it.

«This place is so COOL!» Definitely the most overused phrase of the evening, haha! It’s not a bar you’d frequent often but it’s a definite must-do when in Vegas. Personally I thought it would be a great idea for a first-date. It really is a fun experience. Just go to beat the Vegas heat, freeze your buns off and live like an Eskimo for a few hours, if nothing else. If it wasn’t for Groupon, I would never have found this place. I’m so glad I did because it looks pretty pricey. There are so many add-ons with fur coats and hats. Cell phones are not allowed inside either so those commemorative photos probably add up quickly. But as always, Groupon to the rescue! Coats, boots, gloves, stiff drinks and hard nipples are what you should expect. ;) Everyone there seemed to be having a great time, out of their comfort zone for sure but having fun nonetheless. Mostly out-of-towners stripping down to their underwear with the exception of me & my date. But we were content just people watching and steaming up the room haha! Looking back I probably should have opted for the glove upgrade because my hands were so warm I ended up melting my glass haha! 4 star experience, it would’ve been 5 if it was a bit bigger. I wasn’t expecting such a small room. So if you’re looking for an intimate and cool experience, come check it out.

In the words of Andre 3000… «What’s cooler than being cool?!» The answer might be Minus 5 Ice lounge, this place is freezing! I came here on a whim after attending a meeting at the Mandalay Bay and found out getting into the«ice room» is a bit of a process. First, you have to put on a heavy duty winter coat and some anti-freezing gloves and If you’re wearing sandals or heels, they do offer furry boots and sanitary foot covers. Hopefully this will keep your feet free of any fungus from a midwest tourist. Now let’s make like Elsa and head to the frozen tundra. Minus 5 isn’t just a clever name, it’s a dose of reality as soon as you walk-in. The cold air is like punch in the gut and can definitely sober you up. I was actually surprised at the size of this place… I thought it would be bigger. When you first enter you’re greeted by a giant ice sculpture of a Yeti(which is awesome), ice chandeliers, frozen benches and a entire bar carved out of ice. Good, because I’m thirsty! This is actually pretty cool(pun intended) they serve all of their cocktails out of rock glasses made of solid ice! If you’re feeling saucy you can sip drinks straight from the nipple. Yup, there’s a full ice sculpture of a women with straws coming out of her nipples. Before you ask, no I didn’t try these. Ice Ice Vegas baby! This is a fun spot to bring your out-of-town friends or family, but I wouldn’t come here on a regular basis. It would be a bit pr-ICE-y. Get it? PROTIP: They don’t allow cell phones inside, so either stash them or leave them in a cubby at the front. I would stash it.
