We’ve been here twice now. First experience was a very positive surprise; second(early dinner) was kind of odd. Seems like the owner/host is more interested in catering to and visiting with good friends. Innovative and expertly prepared food. Our waiter(seemed like the owner’s son) was good at helping us make selections, and doing his bit with the upsell as well. Whiteboard menu was difficult to read.

I am over the moon to know that I can eat more than just avocado rolls! I’ve been vegan for a few months now and sushi was definitely one of the things I missed most since changing my eating habits. My boyfriend and I had a few different rolls here and they were all great. We came during happy hour on a Thursday, their happy hour is only for drinks but the experience was still great. Upon seating ourselves the waiter brought us complementary edamame which was a nice appetizer. Then we ordered the Agetofu roll and Popeye roll. The tofu roll was fried tofu with avocado on top and it had a distinct mint-like flavor but was good, #3 for me and the Popeye was pineapple and avo in and spinach on top! It was a great flavor combo, and slightly sweet, that one was my #2. And we were still hungry and wanted to try another so we ordered the Lily roll which was the winner #1 for me. It has root vegetable with a delicious salty flavor inside and avocado and Sriracha on top. I will be going back for that one!

This place is so good! I usually get the chicken & egg rice bowl. I think they call it oyaka-don? Anyway very flavorful. A good portion as well! My friend got the yakisoba and the spam musubi. He lovvvved them. They are decent in price and have lunch specials which is always nice on your wallet. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re on this side of town and hungry :)

Miko’s is a great authentic Japanese restaurant. Their sushi is always fresh and delightful. My favorite is the garlic tuna and Ramen is very authentic and full of flavor. Not only is the food really good but the service is also great. I highly recommend this place!

The reviews gave me high hopes. This place is way too over priced for the taste and quality. It was just not good. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was bland. My tiger roll was more bland. My husbands ramen was probably the blandest. To top things off, we found a peice of hair in our yellowtail. Yum. Next time we’re waiting the hour wait at Bachi burger regardless of how hungry we are.

Superb Japanese food, very vegetarian/vegan friendly, and the staff is solid; they treat you like family if you become a regular(which is eas to do, given the high quality). Love the unagi nigiri and the fried oysters when they have them.

I really enjoyed this place. I didn’t get the full experience because I didn’t sit at the bar, but it was still very good. I could see that the chef behind the counter knew what he was doing and obviously had a lot of creativity. Nice service. It seemed that maybe the owners were in there working the dining area. The only thing I could see that might be a negative is they seemed slightly short staffed at the sushi bar, but then again it was a weekday so maybe they didn’t figure for a lot of people. Food was good though, sushi high quality, specials were all on point. I will definitely be coming here again.

The food was fresh & delicious. We had best salmon I’ve had in Vegas. For Vegans the soba noodles & veggies were scrumptious. Ask for fresh wasabi which adds great flavor. Service was perfect. Well worth a visit.

That moment when you are so happy just because you can eat some good food. It happened to me today when I was having a late lunch at this place. Good service

Excellent and amazingly fresh fish! Great did! Service was great, the owner checked on us and I commented on wanting to give my five stars and he was very gracious. Even gave us an ice cream desert that reminded me of desserts I’ve had in Japan! Sushi presentation was great too! Great little place out of the way that was a fantastic experience.

Had sashimi and pork flavored ramen. Both were below mediocre. Ramen was bland and had no depth in flavor. & never in my life have I ever had sashimi that was salty before I even dipped it in soy sauce. Small proportions too. Waiter forgot to bring us our chopsticks or any sort of utensils. Sashimi = finger food? No thank you. Would not recommend.

Had a wonderful first-time dinner here. Sushi was extremely fresh. Sushi chef, Yoshi, was honest, friendly and attentive. The specialty roll menu is extremely limited so if you’re looking for a variety of different rolls, this place isn’t for you. Also, slightly overpriced compared to neighboring sushi joints.

I’m only giving three stars because my husband made me feel bad. I ordered ramen and literally had one piece of pork about two inches big in weak broth with NOTHING else but half of an egg. What kind of ramen is that? Then I had to pay for extra meat. My husbands yakisoba was good, but the ambiance left much to be desired. Total Unilocal fail.

Fantastic!!! Hadn’t been there before but it is conveniently located a few blocks from my house so I decided to give it a try last week. Not only was the fish super clean and fresh, our sushi chef was extremely personable and informative. We eventually were just putty in his hands and told him we didn’t need to understand what he was talking about… We trusted him. Obvious that there were so many regulars there too. Kind of the Cheers of sushi joints. Will DEFINATELY be back!!! Ok so just had round two and it is still amazing! If your idea of sushi is a bunch of deep fried subpar fish drenched in a bunch of super mayonnaisey sauce then this is not the place for you. However, if you appreciate the beautiful delicate butteriness of good quality fish just lightly kissed with great quality ingredients solely for the purpose of enhancing the experience then this is your spot!

When visiting Vegas for a week my husband and I frequented Unilocal for ideas on where to eat. This place looks like nothing special from the outside but it is a hidden gem not too far off the strip. The owner is very friendly and will answer any questions you may have. I highly recommend trying one of their specials for the day. Service was fast and the food was excellent. Great sushi and ramen, I recommend the miso ramen it was delish!

I’ve passed by this place many times and have been wanting to try it out. Finally decided today was the day! Upon entering, we we greeted by the owners. Very nice people. Their menu is plentiful w/appetizers galore, soups/udons, noodles, and sushi. What we ordered: Yoshi Roll– I was told it was Shrimp Tempura inside with Yellowtail and jalapeño on top. I was contemplating getting a roll or yellowtail sashimi w/jalapeño on top. This was the best of both worlds. Decent flavor, taste the spiciness of the jalapeño + hot sauce, nothing that amazed me though. Mixed tempura appetizer– We asked the lady how many pieces of shrimp this $ 6 appetizer came with and she said«three». Only two pieces of shrimp along with the standard assortment of veggies. :( Gyoza– Delicious. Made with turkey instead of pork. These were good and I’d eat this all the time here. Chicken teriyaki(kid’s plate) — Came with rice, miso soup, and a salad. Not bad. The miso soup has small pieces of vermicelli noodles. Nice different touch. Baked mussels– Yummy! 4 nicely sized mussels, came out nice and hot. Chokomoko ice cream sandwich– Looked awesome, tasted great. The waffle could have had more of a crunch to it the way it would be if you were eating an ice cream cone. It was soft instead. But it was fun to dip that into the whipped cream and chocolate. The service was fair. The staff was pretty attentive. Only once did I have my glass of water down to just ice cubes. I’d give them 3.5 stars if I could.

Salmon imported from Scotland. everything is wild caught and you can tell in the taste of it. Oh and ask for the beer thats imported from japan! This restaurant was very clean, customer service was excellent. You are treated with fast and genuine service! Photo: icecream was also imported from japan. It was very light not too sweet it was perfect!

This is the best kept sushi secret in Vegas. See my pics for a sneak peek at the deliciousness they serve here. Cute, quaint little place in a strip mall. Owners are super friendly. The food quality is absolutely fantastic. My friend Teri M. And I decided to go here on a Friday night(2 Fridays ago) as we were craving sushi. We ordered a jalapeño sashimi special called Kanpachi. similar to yellowtail but BETTER! Better than yellowtail?!? No way. Yes!!! It melts in your mouth and had a kick to it. Whew. Couldn’t resist an order of Hamachi mmmm mm so fresh. Ordered a special roll called Yoshi roll that the server recommended and it was heavenly. Every bite was so tasty. Teri also ordered a noodle soup dish Tonkatsu ramen noodles that she loved. I’ve been here a few other times but have always sat at the sushi bar. It is always so good. We had a table this time and the service was super fast. It’s not like those ayce places — it doesn’t even compare. No ayce and you don’t even miss it. You get more quality for your money here. Check this place out!!!
