After buzz cutting my own hair for the past 7 years I decided to make a change for something more stylish. I found Jose while he was still at Fino and was so impressed with his work, I decided to follow him him when he opened up his own shop at LxLv. Growing out my hair from a buzz was a process which Jose helped me through every step of the way. I wasn’t sure what I really wanted yet, but Jose executed every cut flawlessly no matter what style I experimented with. Jose is a true professional. From his cuts, to his business ethics, to the way he makes the client feel valued, everything about his work is next level. I’ve received nothing but compliments every time I step out of his studio, and at one point stopped in the street by another barber just to be complimented on my hair. Jose’s motto is, «I believe a haircut can change a person’s life… is that crazy?» Knowing you look your best inspires confidence, and having confidence can definitely be a life changer. So no, having a life changing haircut isn’t as crazy as it sounds.

José Sosa is by far the best of the best when it comes to barbers in Las Vegas. He offers great, personalized service and never disappoints. He is fast and efficient and because he controls his own schedule, he is flexible in getting you in to clean you up and send you on your way to work or for a night out on the town. I’ve lived in Vegas my whole life and was searching for a decent Barber. After many attempts of mediocre and unsatisfied haircut I found José @ LXLV. I’ve been coming to José for over a year now, not only is it just a haircut, it’s really a great experience.
He is located in the Phenix building, next to Chase and Smith’s. Suite 119 is in the back, just walk in the building and head on for a great haircut experience. He offers a complimentary beverage upon arrival and takes his time catching up with you instead of just going straight to the haircut. He is very passionate about his profession and you can feel it as you’re here. José does an excellent job with the cut and even gives styling tips and explains what he’s doing and why. It’s truly a one of a kind experience that I feel every guy should try once because I guarantee you’ll be coming back. Let me first start off by saying the relationship with my last hairstylist lasted over 5 years so I am VERY particular about who I let cut my hair.
When I first moved back home to Vegas, one of my first priorities was finding someone I trust as my barber. Without avail, I had four friends tell me I HAD to go to Jose. They told me if I didn’t like the haircut they’d pay for it themselves so I was sold. So I booked an appointment, and when we got there I gave him full use of his creative freedom to do whatever he wanted and he gave me THE best haircut I’ve ever received. The skin fade was perfect, and my hair was perfectly textured on top. He’s cut my hair twice since then and both times have been consistent, clean, and I always know what I’m going to get.
But the best part about Jose isn’t his haircuts. It’s the vibe and the environment he has in his studio. In there, you get a ice cold beer after work and you can catch any of the games that are on. Jose is full of insight — and if you hear him talk about his vision for his brand and his goals, you know he is truly passionate about what he does and that is rare to find.
I’d say you definitely have to get your haircut here, but the one bad thing I’d say is you’d never let someone else touch your hair again.

What can I say about this place that hasn’t been said already. A great place to get a haircut, by the one and only, master barber, Jose Sosa. He doesn’t just cut your hair, he sculpts your hair. As soon as you walk in, his place screams excellence, where else can you kick back while you wait on your haircut, listening to Master P, all while watching the Bloomberg news. Jose has been doing my hair since he got here from the east coast, and I haven’t look back since. Its hard to trust someone with your hair, but with Jose that won’t be a problem, b/​c he knows how to treat your hair right. So go in, I promise you will be coming back again to get your next haircut with him.

Do not waste your time or money going anywhere else. Jose is truly a master of his craft. He provides a high quality cut and takes the time to give pointers to help master your style.

So I used to go to Fino for men and Jose left! I was devastated man seeing as every other barber there messed my hair up lmao. Just showed up to his new shop and the experience was next level! Being a military man I noticed all the attention to detail in everything from the time I walked in, his shop is clean, it smells fresh, the variety of beverages he had included with my haircut, all the way to the fresh smells in his towels (I hate when you get a fresh razor and the towels smell like bleach). My fade is on point and my beard is looking fresh. This dude is going big so make it in while you can I’m not playing!

There is a reason that this place is rated 5 stars by everyone. The reason is Jose. In the short time that he has been my barber he has given me nothing but perfection and outstanding professional service. With this he has won my loyalty and that of many others. With that being said if you want a professional master barber that offers you a choice of sparkling water, espresso, or a cold beer when you come in to his establishment, where there are no teenagers hanging around. Then this is the place to be!

Jose’s been the only one who’s been able to not only get my hair and beard faded and lined up to the best of the best but offers so much now at his new studio. He’s been nothing but welcoming and always makes me feel like I’m back home in Chicago. Keep it up, as long as I’m living in Vegas you’ve got a client for life.

Today I felt the need to write a Unilocal review after getting a haircut with the best barber in Las Vegas. I’ve been my haircut with Jose for a while now and all I can say is every time I leave, I always leave impressed! He is very knowledgable in his craft so feel free to ask for any styling tips. His barber/​stylist skills are unmatched and yet he stays humble about it. Every question I had while messaging him on his Instagram account (@lxvesosa), has always gotten a reply and was very helpful. Also, Jose is an overall great dude and he is good company to have around. He also hooks it up with a 25% military discount too which is always nice! When you hear that he is the best, it is because he definitely is the best.

My brother always making me look like a super star. He has the skills hands and the most comfortable place for to go.

Had such a great Mani Pedi today with Sheli. It was a great spa experience, not like all the other spots in town. Complete with a stocked bar and Apple TV, channel of my choice because the experience was private, not a room full of people, just me, TV and a glass of wine. The perfect way to start off my weekend.

One of the greatest if not «THE» greatest in town! Hands down. Not only will he provide you with a great cut/​style on a consistent basis, with LxLv, he has created an amazing atmosphere for his clients. Jose (AKA The Best Barber in Las Vegas) does an excellent job. He’s been my barber for about 1 year now and I’m very happy with his work. He knows what he’s doing, and takes the time to really explain how to style your hair yourself (which is my struggle).
I was really excited to see that he set up his own location and I will definitely be going back. I would recommend him for anyone looking for a high-​end barber.

So this is my first review on Unilocal because I never feel the need to talk about a business, but this place is a hidden gem and I had to let everyone know!
I’ve had a few haircuts by Jose when he was at Fino and they were always good. So when I heard he was opening LxLv studios I decided to follow him and I was expecting the same treatment, I was totally wrong! I had no idea that a haircut could get any better! This place is top of the line and he makes you feel welcome from when you book your appointment until the end of the haircut, you can tell he actually cares about his clients. He offers you a drink as soon as you walk in and asks if you want to listen to music or watch something on tv. He definitely makes you feel at home. I Love this place and I will definitely be back! Oh yea, and my hair is flawless once again! Thanks Jose!

Jose was named Master Barber by Vegas Seven and he is! I followed Jose from his previous digs to his new location. The space is great. Each appointment is catered to you. From a beverage offering, to selecting what tunes you’d like to listen to or watching a particular show. Now, all of this makes for a great experience but it would be for naught if the primary reason you came there was to leave with poor hair style and something you didn’t want. His best skill is listening to what you envision. So that when you walk out you’re leaving with the style you wanted. I’m very happy with quality experience he provided.

I came in not knowing much about the barber, but trust me… this will be the one of the best experiences you’ll have getting a cut and shave.
Barber Sosa took care of my needs and was immensely humble throughout the whole process. I have my general directions and told him to go in whatever route he sees fit and boy… the final result was great. I also told him to give me a goatee and the shave was clean and precise.
This is a new location and will be open soon. He took me in due to me calling beforehand (I had no idea he wasn’t open at the location yet) but I would check before showing up! Definitely a friendly guy on the phone. The location should be opening soon (October!)
Humble! Before going in I had no idea what to expect… Barber Sosa has tons of experience. During the cut he told me about his transition from NY to Las Vegas and his rising. Later on, I found out about his following on social media, this guy definitely has the great reputation he deserves. But he talked little of it, instead he focused on making me feel welcome and in good hands.
