Hollywood Community Center

I have been going to this Recreation Center for over 8 years. Both my sons have been through their early childhood program and the staff is amazing. They know our names, they let the kids be kids, they welcome everyone with a smile and they truly care about the people in the neighborhood. The gym is small but has all the equipment you need to get a good woke out. They offer a lot fitness classes and they are always open to new ideas and feedback. I would recommend anyone, especially people on the east side of Las Vegas, to check this place out.

I dont care if the condescending grinning supervisor reads this. My son was assaulted on multiple occasions during the Summer Day camp. I have no complaints about the skate park section (haven’t tried it.) No complaints about the martial arts classes (it was perfectly fine, just not our thing.) No complaints on the fitness center (Meh its ok. Not the biggest thing in the world, but that’s not the only important part to a fitness center.) HOWEVER when I put my son in your program, though I expect little problems, dont you dare punish my child for pushing away another child who had him trapped in a corner on the floor. Do not imply my son is a perverted groping sicko. Dont tell me your staff is excellent when multiple horrible things have occured to my son, with little to nothing being done, and then fire back with well it’s his fault level nonsense. I don’t care that you didnt believe me. I dont care that you don’t believe my son. When it comes down to it, the Hollywood Day Camp staff will do all that it can to cover it’s own ass.

Gym is ok. Has a cardio area with treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals (not that much). Also have smith machine, dumbells from 30 — 75lb, bench press, and many more machines. Would recommend to go in the morning because it is packed like a can of sardines from noon and after. Atmosphere in the gym is really comfortable but there will be some people that will be loud as always. Overall its a good place the Gym membership for a month is $ 15 and $ 105 for a year I wish they could extend the gym time and make the area bigger. Ps: they also have an aquatic center perfect for summer!!!

One of the newer and cooler rec centers. The gym isn’t always full so you can have access to whatever you need, even if you have to wait a little bit. Wish they could separate the free weights from the machines but oh well. But the featured attraction has to be the skate park. It’s probably the better skate park the east side of Las Vegas has!
This location isn’t hard to miss, it’s on Hollywood in between Sahara and Charleston!

This is a nice rec center. Clean ample parking. A room for kids and teens with pool tables and ping pong tables. They have computer access. A nice fitness center that allows access by the day month or yearly prices. The gym is cool as well. Soon the Hollywood water park will be open. The skate park is big and pretty empty I guess due to the heat or kids don’t know it exists.
FYI Gym membership is 16 a mo or 4 dollars for a day pass.
