This is a review from someone who has no choice but to go through them, as ordered by the courts themselves. I am on criminal probation and my P.O. requires me to do my community service hours ONLY through Help of Southern Nevada. Volunteering through a library does not count. They steal money from people that are doing court ordered community service by charging them twice. And they will threaten to call your probation officer if you choose to defend yourself. Also, their phone number will show up as «disconnected» if you call it. This fat guy named«Samuel» is working on assigning me my agency, and apparently I have to pay a $ 41 registration fee. Then, he realized he charged me the wrong amount(supposed to be $ 35) so he charged me AGAIN! And I know this because as soon as I left, I checked my bank account and found out I have been charged for a total of $ 82. Now I am only $ 10 away from overdrafting my bank account and his supervisor, this old white lady with blonde hair keeps saying«I don’t care» when I am bringing up my complaints to her. Either the people that work here are just really bad at their jobs, OR, they are just using their feigned incompetence to take more money out of men and women already fucked over by the criminal justice system. I have screenshots of my bank account, as well as pictures of the bogus receipts they printed for me to prove it. Everybody that works here are a bunch of punk assed Lil bitches that threaten«dangerous inmates and convicts» like me with having us thrown back in jail/prison for just trying to complete court requirements and getting the paperwork to prove it. Samuel can’t even read a fucking map. He doesn’t know that the place he assigned me to is no where close to my home. He can’t count for shit, has no ability in resolving customer issues, and tries to hide behind a desk from me when I confront him or his«supervisor». I don’t feel sorry for anyone that works here, even inmates and convicts have better job skills than these dumbshits behind the counter. Ask yourself, why is it that Help of Southern Nevada, and also most of the shady looking court counseling centers constantly switch locations and phone numbers from one ghetto to another. It’s because the people that work here are so unlikeable and rude that their faces and names are known to everybody on the street. Having any of them hurt is going to earn instant stripes Update: So I came back today to get my overcharged money back into my account. And I realized a few things 1) The fatty that I thought was«Samuel» was actually someone else. Fatso just used a person named Samuel’s cash register VirtualPay account to ring it up incorrectly. 2) The real Samuel fixed it, and explained to me that the nature of my crime means that I can’t find anywhere closer to do my community service hours at. 3) Also, while Samuel guaranteed that my money is coming back as of 9÷6÷2011, I havn’t received it. So I asked him for a copy of the record so that I can dispute it with my credit union. After calling his Chief Financial Officer, he agreed. Real Samuel, you got the center one more REAL star for clarifying these things for me. So two stars!
