I assumed it was like the old school Steak Escape(from the mall food court). I was a little wrong, but it was still tasty and fattening as you’d assume it would be. Again, I think it all depends on when you are at the airport, but right before lunch time was just fine on a Wednesday. I didn’t have a long wait to order or for pick-up. Actually, the employee was doing some paperwork before she noticed me standing there to place an order. They serve breakfast. Weird. I ordered the original Philly Cheesesteak. If you don’t like onions or you are just ‘eh’ on onions, say NOONIONS! They were huge chunks and took over the whole sando. The gooey, processed Philly cheese was awesome! Grab a lot of napkins, then grab 10 more, you’ll need them all. I asked for my fries extra crispy and that’s just how I received them, they were awesome. Low expectations means you’ll be happily cheese covered with a smile!

Technically zero stars. Literally the most repulsive sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Do not spend your money here.

I guess I must have been really hungry or I don’t know what a real Philly cheese steak taste like but I thought it was delicious. I only ate the sandwich and it had great flavor and the cheese was all melted perfectly. I think it’s above average for airport food and not too expensive.

I didn’t like how long the line was but for airport food they were off the hook! We ordered the phily cheese steak and it was bombdotcom the cheese oozed out and melted in your mouth. Really good!

Menu? More like a list of threats. Poor service. Unclean counters. Napkin dispensers without napkins. Expensive food. The ONLY reason they turn a profit is because they prey on unsuspecting travelers. … I can already tell, this is going to be a looooong flight… NOTE: Fill a water bottle from a nearby fountain. $$$

For a quick bite at the Vegas airport, it’s alright, not good but just alright. I had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and the quantity was good but the the cheese they used was like«cheese spread» or something. I think might have been better going with Burger King.

Extremely bad customer service I ever had. The cashier said she does not know how to refund the item when I asked for refunding a bottle of water, $ 5.69.

Long wait for the food. The workers didn’t look happy. The lady who took my food order was really really rude. She didn’t say hi, didnt smile, was rude about we ordered, it made me feel uncomfortable. The food was okay. Nothing special.

On a 30 min layover I stopped in to get a steak(10⁄29 around 6pm). The staff was arguing because they couldn’t figure out how to make a baked potato. I waited over 15 minutes for a Great Steak and fries. I had to leave and when I asked for a refund the woman at the register informed me that she could not do refunds without a manager around and the manager was not there. I told he to give me cash and she said she couldn’t. I was so pissed off I walked away. I believe that this is the worst operated airport fast food joint in all of the US. Great Steak Company, the franchise owner and the manager should all be ashamed of this location. It was slow, dirty, unkempt and gross.

At the end of the airport so not a lot of options. Great steak sounded inviting enough. It could not be further from great at all. Cheese steak was way over salted to compensate for the lack of flavor I’m assuming. We had the original philly and great steak. Both tasted off and just horrible. I don’t leave many reviews but this was so bad 8 had too. Price was 14 bucks for the sandwich and oversized regular fries. Fries were soggy and too much for one person to even eat. Maybe if they were worth eating I could’ve eaten half of them. The only good thing was the ketchup packets to give this crud some sort of way to mask the horrible taste.

So I know it’s airport food. But it was just too salty for me to eat. I bought the basic philly cheese with fries. The fries where fresh but the sandwich was sloppy. I asked the cashier of they take tips(before I ate my food of course) he said yes whereby I observed him slipping the money right into his pocket as he tried to act like he was stocking soda not okay. The cooks looks tired and miserable.(but It makes sense if they have co workers like that rude cashier) will never go back.

«America’s Premier Cheesesteak» — seriously? They serve a pathetic excuse for a cheesesteak… salty steak with cheese wiz thrown on top. I’d give one star but the loaded baked potato was decent(the bacon was the only low point of the potato as it was pretty fatty). Great Steak is am embarrassment to America and they should be stripped of their slogan! Unfortunately this part of the terminal doesn’t have much to offer for food so they have a captive audience.

I’m not sure why I didn’t consult Unilocal before coming here, I guess it was desperation after a 4 hour flight and a long layover. I’m not sure that I can add more than what has already been said — the service is rude/unfriendly and inefficient. It was quite possibly one of the worst cheesesteak sandwiches I have had a few in my life. It was greasy, the cheese came from a can, the bread was soggy from massive amounts of grease(see photo). And… it was $ 14.50 for a 7″ cheesesteak, fries and a drink — totally not worth it. Avoids this place and head to Jersey Mike’s(or anywhere else in the airport for that matter). I am going to head to Jamba Juice to see if I can find something to cleanse my palate and gut.

The line took about 20 minutes just to order. Which gave me plenty of time to decide whether I wanted to pay $ 6 for a potatoe or $ 8.50 for a philly with no peppers(extra 79 cents). I didn’t order the $ 4.49 extra drink/fry combo either. I went with the philly and it took another 10 – 15 minutes to get. It wasn’t out of this world at all. No seasoning what so ever, cheese was bland, few to little onions. Not worth the $ 9.29 cents I spent on just one philly that must have been 10 inches. Looks can be deceiving! It’s airport food though… I probably wouldn’t want to spend the money again.

Don’t do it! This is the worst place ever. The food is horrendous!!! We ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was absolutely gross. Salty, salty, salty, and the cheese it was bad. How do you mess up cheeses? They call themselves the great steak restaurant yet I call them the great disappointment. The salt in the food is enough to kill a small cat and enough to have you needing high blood pressure medicine. Save yourself from this place. It’s too late for us!!! I feel gross. Ouch! My heart…

DONTDOIT!!’ I got the original Philly since my flight was pushed back and seemed like the only decent place to eat. Meat is frozen when they slap it to the grill. Sandwich sat in my gut after eating only half of it. Better off just waiting until you get to your end destination or eat before you arrive to the airport.

It’s 1030p and we’re at the airport. We’re taking the red eye flight back to Chicago. Because we have to connect out of Minnesota, it will take longer than the 3+ hours to get home. Once we get to the airport, we decide to buy something to eat. Unfortunately, we were limited to two restaurants, one bar and one gift shop. We should’ve brought something with us. My boyfriend’s Steak sandwich, my Philly Steak sandwich and our French fries were all incredibly salty. What we ate was only edible because we had purchased drinks to wash the terrible taste down. In this case, having a soda was a bad idea. The sugar and salt just made us thirstier.

It’s airport food; what do you expect? It was my first time in Terminal B at McCarran, and since my flight was not for a while, I decided to venture and try something new. With a name like Great Steak & Potato, I thought of it as some unknown chain, and it probably is, but I decided to give it a shot. I mean, nothing too bad could happen on a one hour flight, right? And nothing too bad happened. I opted for the classic cheesesteak, and since I didn’t exactly know what Philly cheese was, I was unfortunately greeted with a sandwich with cheese sauce. While I like nacho cheese, I’m not too big of a fan of cheese sauce if not done right. It wasn’t done right. Personally, I thought I should have gotten the one with provolone, but I am bad with my cheeses, in general. For the price and the size, about $ 9 for a 7″ cheesesteak, it was overall really underwhelming. It was a small shop as well, so seating was quite limited. Customers were literally fighting over that. Not that much fun when I had a flight within minutes. If I had to go again, I would definitely try the one with provolone. However, to be honest, Jersey Mike’s in Terminal B is way better. TIP: N/A

Came here because I love cheesesteak sandwiches plus I was really hungry and tired without wanting to venture too far. Not wanting bread I ordered a cheesesteak potato and perhaps it made things worse. Well, I hate to say it but other than being conveniently located next to the SouthWest Airline gates, the cheesesteak potato I had was not at all appetizing and the potato was overbaked. The steak was dry and did not have much flavor. The«cheese sauce’ smothered on top of the dry meat did not help to enhance it either. Basically I was a bit disappointed.

My guy is probably going to be upset that I’m dissing the Great Steak, but it was not my pick. I’m okay with compromising when he’s that excited about it though. He really wanted a Great Steak, which is technically a cheesesteak with lettuce and tomato. We just ordered one to split. I wasn’t as excited about it as he was, but that’s life.
