Two years later and this place has not changed. Everything is dirty from the floors to the plates and cups and silverware. Even the bathrooms are gross. They have the drink station in the front and you get your first drink while in line. I can’t understand how they think this is productive in ANYWAY. If anything it slows down the line. And yes there is always a line. And it’s hella crowded inside. The food is mediocre at best. They have different stations and my favorite was the salad station. That in itself is sad. The salad bar has premium toppings like real chicken and real bacon pieces. There was an Asian station, a Mexican station, Seafood? The Grill, and possibly an Italian station? There was also a small breakfast selection where I got some crispy and delicious bacon. The line for the The Grill was long, because they are serving up steaks. You don’t even get a whole steak, just a small piece and they are stingy with the pieces. I was really disappointed in the steaks because they were soooo gristly. The whole bottle of steak sauce could not give this steak flavor. I had a baked potato and a small salad and was done. I grabbed a cotton candy from the dessert station on my way out too. That was the best thing I ate there. It’s not worth the price for $ 13 and even more if you get a drink. There are far too many buffets in town that are the same price and much better.

The last time we had been to a Golden Corral was over 6 years ago, when we lived in Tennessee. When we found out one was here in Vegas, we were happy to go again… but now we will never be back. This place was awful. Pretty much every bowl on the salad bar was dirty and even the cleanest bowl still had food residue. When I went to the station to get a plate and some silverware, the very first fork I pulled out had dried, caked-on food on it. The knives were covered in white film and I it took pulling about about 5 knives each before my husband and I found some that were clean enough to use. The food was also terrible. When I took a bite of the grilled zucchini, all I could taste was the bland taste of the oil that it was cooked with. The BBQ baked beans tasted scorched. The baked chicken was tough and not very good either. My husband had eggs which he said were tasteless, and he couldn’t even eat the biscuits and gravy because it was too salty. If I spend upwards of $ 30 on a meal for two people, I expect to be able to get clean silverware and food that actually tastes like food instead of oil. My husband said that he was glad that it was just the two of us tonight, not only because the cost would have been much higher, but he would also have been embarrassed to bring our friends to such a sub-par restaurant. We will just stick with going to our favorite buffet at the casino for locals… It’s cheaper, the food is much better, and the drinks are free with your meal!

The first time I came here, I was in a weird mood– all I was interested in eating were vegetables(very weird for me). So I went through the buffet and grabbed all the vegetables they offered– cooked and raw(not a huge salad bar but decent assortment and has some unusual items), and I was amazed– all of their vegetables were actually good. What are the chances that all of the vegetables on a buffet line would actually taste good?!? After that on later visits, I’ve tried their other foods. Their pot roast is really good. I have enjoyed their different special items(on 1⁄23 they offered peach waffles). I love their sweet potato casserole. A couple of years ago, my brother brought me here for a birthday lunch with my sister and her 2 boys. My family is now hooked on their chocolate fountain(marshmallows, strawberries, cookies, rice krispies– all sorts of things to dip), their mini-ice cream parlor(usually 4 choices), and a COTTONCANDY machine! I brought my nephew here on 1⁄23 for his birthday– great venue :)

This buffet is decent. The food is fresh, some of it bland though. The salad is very good, the mashed potatoes and the baked beans were my favorite thing. Orange chicken is good too. Overall I enjoyed it, nothing special or worth going crazy over. But I dislike buffets in general but this one is actually good.

We decided to take the drive down to this restaurant on Sunday afternoon. I was very impressed. The front entrance was a bit cluttered near the registers and the drink area. The general manager was up front assisting guests and welcoming them. I started my meal with a delicious salad. Everything tasted real fresh. Next I moved on to the grill. You can order as many steaks as you want. They cook them to order! The mashed potatoes were delicious but tasted a bit cold. I wanted ham to be cut off the bone for me but there was nobody in the front counter. The roast chicken was delicious. Service was good too. I was constantly given free refills and old plates were taken off my table. The dessert bar had so many choices. We really had a good time here and will definitely return. We even purchased a take out box and filled it with all sorts of goodies!

This place is always busy! That’s great for a buffet because you know the food is fresh, as it’s constantly being replenished. Our server we had was so friendly I wish I could have given her a bigger tip because she showed EXCELLENTCUSTOMERSERVICE!!! I thanked her and told her we’d request her every time from now on. Her name is Rachel and she’s awesome! You rock, girl! I also let her Manager know how pleased we were with her service, he wasn’t surprised he said she’s 1 of the best. Keep up the good work! :-)

The restroom was super nasty. The food temps was just off. The salad was hot. The meat was cold. The floor of the eating area was also nasty. I got a plate and they was stuck together with old wet food in the middle. A million water spots on they cups. Ugh would it kill them to buy new silverware? The silverware was bent or damaged and also had tons of water spots. My friends and I waited quietly while our waitress whiped off our table. But the rag she used was black, brown, and just unsanitary looking.

When we first went to Golden Corral, it was during their grand opening and everything was a very good. The food variety, selections, quality and service were extremely good. The only complaint I had was the wait time to be seated because the line was out the door. What a difference a couple months make. Where to begin, well lets start with the outside of a restaurant where you can see homeless people sitting out front begging for change. I have never seen this at any other restaurant ever in my life until now. Next we go inside where the food variety and selections are still decent, but the quality and service have dipped a lot. The best thing this time around was the wait because there was none, but I can understand why.

We’ve been here twice and had good experiences both times. It’s a bit of a drive, but a great place to go with the kids because my two kids have completely different eating habits. Last night my son chowed down on popcorn shrimp and grilled fish, with sautéed mushrooms and veggies. Then they have options for my picky daughter, French toast and macaroni and cheese haha. They have something for everyone and the chocolate fountain for dessert is always fun.

The manager on duty, Kathy has to have the worst customer service. Golden Corral is doing a huge disservice having her as the face of their business. My wife had received a free dinner for her birthday. Living on the complete opposite side of the city we figured we would call to see if we needed to print a voucher. Due to the link not opening so we could print. The gentleman said we didn’t need it. So upon arrival we were told we need the voucher. We talked to the manager on duty a Kathy she was very defensive refused to offer any solution she just didn’t care. We told her we were go me to file a complaint to corporate she than stated they were franchise… Like that was going to protect her shity attitude… You suck Kathy and your customer service is terrible!!!

Although it’s not a particularly FINE culinary experience, it is definitely an interesting one. Worth checking out at least once for the«fun» factor. I personally would avoid any«seafood» that isn’t fried. It looked okay, but better safe than sorry.

Ate dinner here and to my surprise it wasn’t crowded! It was clean, spacious, and our waitress was attentive. Staff was friendly! The waitress even knew that I made my self an Arnold Palmer! She refilled me with a better version. I’m rating this a 5 star because of the type of buffet it is. I’m not comparing it to Bachannal Buffet! For the type of food and quality… it was good! My steak was cooked well, the fried fish, pot roast, veggies, sweet potato casserole, fried mushrooms, and dessert was good! Those yeast roles were on point! We will be back!

Yo Golden Corral, nothing personal, but you don’t live up to the hype. Being a vegas resident and seeing tons of commercials, I was expecting a flavor explosion in my mouth that would be not unlike the first time I heard the Beatles. The food isn’t bad, but nothing that would make me drive the 20 minutes to come here. What I really do appreciate are the little things, such as the dessert fountain, and believe it or not i was mobbing down on the mashed potatoes. I give it 3 stars because I feel its exactly what it appears to be and it owns it. You need a quick, but filling meal, or you want a breakfast buffet. If everyone is in the mood for something different, then this all works out. The only thing that works against them in Vegas is that we are filled with buffets, so they stand out less and are graded a lot harsher. The servers are usually pretty nice, but of course I have had a few crappy ones. Overall its a very consistent restaurant that I don’t have many qualms with. Come in, eat, then continue on

I’m not a Golden Corral kinda person– I was raised on «classier»(read: pricey) places, so I’ve been a bit of a restaurant snob. However, being a snob means you miss a lot of great places. Some are great for their atmosphere, others for the service, others for the food– or some combination of these. When I came to Vegas I was a bit disappointed in the places that get lots of stars and praise. Even my non-snobby partner has been sorely disappointed in the seafood and soul food places we’ve visited. Today we tried the Golden Corral. I’d been to one in Ohio and don’t have a lot of good memories– except for the fun company I was with. I expected low quality fare and general unpleasantness. I was pleasantly surprised. Now, the atmosphere is nothing to write home about. The money here is not being spent on décor and dinnerware. Or bathroom maintenance. It was crowded as heck tonight, but this allowed a lot of people-watching, which is fun in a place that attracts such a wide range of humans. I like seeing people enjoying themselves. There were lots of young children, toddlers and some babies with parents and grandparents. I’ve been to several buffets in town, on & off Strip. I’m usually disappointed in the local casino buffets. The food isn’t well flavored and the desserts all seem to come from the same bland supplier. Little of the iconic fare, like Mac & cheese, taste anywhere close to authentic. Golden Corral has them beat by a mile. The food tastes like your grandma invited the family for dinner, and then stuck her FOOT in it!(some of you will know what that means). Fried chicken the chefs weren’t afraid to season properly. Buttery mashed potatoes with a few lumps instead of being perfectly puréed to death by machine. Crispy hush puppies and fried shrimp. Whole catfish! Well, without the heads. Even the fried calamari tasted good. Now, grandma does make some greasy food– but those hush puppies! Perfectly fried. I’m not into the slightly sweetened hush puppies but I forgave grandma and went for more. The fried okra was very good with no nasty okra-ness(it’s okra, after all). Parents seem to let their kids run around here– something I haven’t seen at the casino buffets I’ve been to. I saw one young girl skipping through the crowd while innocently holding a steak knife, point-side up. Dessert was more creative than other buffets. A chocolate fountain with humongous, sweet strawberries on sticks to wave underneath. Marshmallows and macaroons are also available. They had the standard soft ice cream, cookies and cake slices, but they also had real ice cream, sherbet, and freshly made cotton candy. All the food was fresh, by the way. Anyway, we hung out for over two hours because we had time to kill. Our server was excellent(hey, Nickie!) and we tipped her well to make up for the measly $ 2 tips she was getting from others and the time we spent. I can honestly say I was comfortable, had a good time, and actually enjoyed the food.

Went yesterday 5−25−15 for dinner. Man, was it crowded!!! They don’t have a military discount *sad violin noises*. I’ve been to other GC’s that offer it but this one doesn’t. Just sucks cuz’ there’s a military base right down the road and on FRICKINMEMORIALDAY they didn’t even offer a discount. Minus one star. Have you ever seen feeding time at a pig farm? Where the farmer pours slop out of a bucket into a trough and the pigs are all clammoring to get it? That’s kinda what it’s like here, except great food. Super duper crowded and a rough crowd. I had one of the best steaks I’ve ever had here yesterday! It was about an inch thick and perfectly cooked, charred on the outside, and didn’t even need a knife to cut it. Sooooo good. Worth the $ 12 alone.
