My supervisor told me about this place, not the best area on Fremont but the food is worth it. It gets crowded so make time.

We just moved about a block away from here about a month ago and have been waiting to try their food. My wife and I finally went to The Fremont Minimart today and had an excellent experience. It was very clean, well kept and bigger than I had expected. What I really like is that they have such a wide variety of things to choose from and at reasonable prices. They have food, drinks, snacks, clothing, towels, sports teams winter caps and all kinds of things that you might need if you live nearby and don’t want to go all the way to a major store to go shopping. But the best part is their kitchen! My wife and I are originally from Alabama and so we know our Southern food. I had the best fried chicken i think I have ever had and definitely the best deep fried okra ever! The chicken pieces were huge and everything was cooked fresh to order. My wife ordered the BBQ pork tips and she thought they were delicious as well. The cook was very nice and called us by name as soon as our order was ready. It was still piping hot when we got back to our apartment a few minutes later. We will go back again and again and again as long as we live in this part of town. I absolutely LOVETHISPLACE!!!

Although this store is located in one of the not-so-scenic areas of Vegas, I was impressed with their fried fish and chicken. The service from the staff was also exceptional, as they were very friendly and helpful. The only negative aspect of this place, is the fact that it centered around one of the worst sides of town(druggies & hookers), which makes me want to avoid coming here on a regular basis. I guess for the quality of service and food, this may either outshine or overcast the negative elements of this eatery.

I moved into the neighborhood one year ago and was worried that I wouldn’t find a place nearby to shop for groceries. Then I found this place! This is a family owned business run by 4(or 5) brothers and a sister. They own this market and the Ogden Market(located on the corner of 9th and Ogden). First thing, is the customer service is awesome. They know all their regulars by name and customers always come first — this separates them from the 7 – 11’s and other small stores in the area — also, their prices are actually lower then the aforementioned! The selections for what they provide is meant for those last minute items you may need in the spur of the moment, but you can also find sundry, clothing, and household items as well. The shining star of this place, besides the employees is the Fried Chicken!(They also have catfish and shrimp available). I’m a huge fan of the 10 piece chicken wings and fries! I actually order this a lot on those days I just feel like cooking, add some potato salad or Mac and cheese — and Boom! Getter-done! At the Ogden location, you can find a deli where they make amazing sandwiches to order — and if your ever craving Cannoli — The Ogden Market is a place to hit up! Take a stroll down Fremont Street, 4 blocks past Atomic Bar, and check this place out — or perhaps the Ogden market maybe closer, either way, you might enjoy your new potential«go to» place for groceries or good eats.

My first time visiting this pace but not the first time having the shrimp. It was my first time having their catfish and it was very tasty and satisfying. I was traveling all the way to Mario’s to have catfish at the Westside Market ! This is much closer and I will be returning. This market has potential and no doubt they have what it takes to thrive as long as the community respects their establishment things should be looking up for them. They are newly open so don’t be taken back by the sparseness of selection available at the moment. These guys are working hard to provide you with what you crave. I suggest you also come along with some patience, for there is one guy cooking and one taking the order. It is worth the wait. They also have some gaming you can do while you wait as well. The only reason I’m not giving a four stars is because they are just starting out and bringing in new things. They do have four star potential. If they maybe had a table and chairs for the convenience of those waiting for orders it will do the trick. Besides that thumbs up guys! ;-)
