I love fossil. I own a few purses and a watch. Went into this location and was constantly talked to by employees obviously working on commission. I tried my best to send signals that meant«Hey, I am checking out products. Please don’t ask me where I am from or tell me to try on purses. Thanks!» I really wanted a purse I saw, but decided to buy it somewhere else due to the annoyance I felt from the employees.

The dreaded«Mother’s Day» shopping trip. Every year it strikes fear in my heart. All the other holidays/birthday are no problem. For some reason, this particular holiday I dread. Alas, I may not have to dread it any more thanks to the outstanding service of a particular duo over at the Forum Shops. I wandered in with absolutely no idea what I was looking for or even if they had something I thought my wife would like. I was also a bit rough around the edges as I had taken a beating at the poker table and found my budget a little tighter than when I had left that morning. I wanted to «set the scene» as I was probably the last person any salesperson wanted walking through their door that day. And that little truth is what changed this particular stop from a browse into a purchase. First off, I was greeted. Not a ‘sink our hooks in, I’m on commission’ greeting, but a genuine ‘thanks for stopping in’ kind of greeting. If you’ve read my other review, acknowledging someone walking into your place of business is paramount. After walking in & out of a dozen other stores in the Forum Shops, this one felt different. The young lady, called Kateon or Cat, by another young woman who I would later find out was the manager, Celeste, took it upon herself to find this elusive mother’s day gift. We toured every inch of that store, the manager checking in from time to time. Once I settled on a watch, that’s when the magic happened. Being a professional poker player, I see plays unfold every hand. Whether its a lousy bluff or twitch-like tell, I’ve seen it all and nothing surprises me. Yet, once I was alone in the store with these two, I was helpless. The manager had seen the watch on my wrist and brought over a similar style that complimented the one I had picked out for my wife. Through our small talk, they learned about my kids and then inquired about what they were getting their mom. Next thing I know, there’s this pretty little necklace and earring set. While I didn’t buy the men’s watch for myself, I did walk out of there with a gift for my wife, gifts for the kids to give & a gift for the mother-in-law. I have never had that much fun shopping ever… and I’m an old guy. I have a feeling that the salespeople in this store could sell ice to Eskimos & make them feel happy for doing so. The store was clean, bright and well-organized. I was also able to go next door & pick up a Frap at Starbucks. I don’t recall ever stepping foot in a Fossil store, but if they’re all like this one, I’ve been missing out. Thanks again, Cat and Celeste!
