Fantastic Sams Hair Salons

I recently got my kids to get haircuts here and had a great experience. The ladies here are super friendly but for the cuts I can only speak about Helen and Robyn they are the only ones who’ve cut my kids hair. Both hair cuts looked «Fantastic!» And I was pleasantly surprised at how great they were with my kids. The prices are decent but for the work they do are way worth it! Thank you.

I usually come here 2 – 3 times a year for a trim, basically a touch up of an existing cut styled by a professional at another salon. Most of the people who work in this salon are nice enough but their own cuts and colors are kind of a mess. They usually cut my hair shorter than what I ask for, but it’s fast, cheap, on my side of town and they have a product my hair really loves.
Usually I’m seen right away and in and out. There is one stylist who is there every time I come in, their picture is actually on this page as an example of a «style» they can do to you. She never speaks to me but is talkative to everyone else and seems to always be busy when I come in and can’t help me, even when no one is in her chair. Everyone else who recognizes me from coming in for the last 2 – 4 years is polite.
On this particular day I came in, I said I was kind of in a rush because I was doing some last minute errands. I just needed a trim, no wash or style. I said if they couldn’t see me right away, no big deal. But they insisted after a stylist finished shaving a gentleman, I’d be next. 10 minutes tops.
So I ran next door to mail something at UPS and came right back. I come in and the man who was getting a shave is gone. Three stylists are sitting at the register, one woman is sweeping up. So I say/​remind them «hey I’m back» and give them my name but no one sys hello, no one actually recognized or spoke to me at all. Even the stylist I see every single time I come in but for some reason never wants to speak to me, she just looks at me and looks back down at the register. From what I guessed from watching them, the receipt paper wasn’t printing.
The woman sweeping in the back finally comes up to me and asked if I checked in. I said I had and was told I was next and it would be fast. She said it would be just a minute. Then I watch her sweep another station. And then another, and then another. Then she started shaking out the smocks. The other three stylists are still playing around with the register. So I decide it’s time to leave.
No one says bye. No one says anything to me. They don’t even call me back to say they were ready – which they’ve done before when I’ve run next door to get a Starbucks at Albertsons
I will probably never come back here. They’ve always been a little unprofessional (loudly talking bad about other clients) but I’m not going to deal with rude. Especially to someone who spends money on products and cuts a few times throughout the year. If the printer was broken, or they had a huge mess they had to clean up, fine. But don’t be rude and act like I’m invisible.

Very very rude. The first time I came in the stylist named helen? I believe she was very nice to me but when I left the hair salon I saw that it was uneven from the sides and very noticeable I decide to go back and she turned very rude and defensive when I told her I felt like it was a bit uneven and if she could fix it. She began to sigh and just look very annoyed. She pulled my hair, and poked my eyes with her shears various times in the process of checking my hair. She then proceeded to tell me that she saw nothing wrong with my hair and she could do nothing about it. i then told her if she would just cut it agian and wash it for me then. She told me she didn’t want to do that. I assume for having told her my hair cut was uneven. So unprofessional and well never set foot in that salon again!

I took my son who is 3 years old to get a haircut. The person was kind to him but didn’t do a great job with his hair. We asked her to trim his hair which shouldn’t be difficult. His hair came out uneven on the sides and his front was too short. We can’t even comb his front hair to the side. I was unhappy with the haircut and wouldn’t return again.

It came out shorter than what I wanted. I feel like the haircut was very rushed. I should have asked for razor cut instead of scissor cut. The last time I went there they gave me the option of razor or scissor cut. This time they did not give that option. It came out very choppy at the ends. I also asked for a V shape in the back and it looks more like a U shape. I will be going to a different salon from now on.

Unprofessional. Needs more training (at least the lady that did my hair). Shes on the right side when you enter. Chews gum, talking to co workers and working on another clients hair while doing mine. I mean — you get what you pay for. 15.99 a haircut. I’m going back to my old hair salon. But hey, thanks for letting me know NOT to come back there :).

What a nice experience. Great was and treatment. Love my cut! And the sale on shampoo conditioner and hair mask was awesome 3 for 20 thank you Robyn!

I take my two boys here all the time and I have no complaints. Carol is super nice and gentle with my boys and does an amazing job! I do admit it’s kinda pricey compared to other local cheap places, but for the clean and welcoming atmosphere… It’s worth it.

I went to this fantastic sams to get a hair cut. I only wanted half an inch they she ended up cutting 4 inches off my hair! And to top it off it was so uneven. I’m really upset because it takes forever for my hair to grow! I will never agin go here!!!

My hair was cut way shorter than I wanted it to be. Yes I know it’s just hair and it’ll grow back, but if I’m paying, I expect to receive the cut I want. I also had a coupon that I received in the mail that said I should receive a shampoo, condition, and hair cut service. I only received the cut. I told the lady that I wanted layers in my hair as well and I didn’t receive that either. I will not be getting my hair cut here again. However, the atmosphere is nice and welcoming. The other blonde hairstylist seemed more friendly and understanding than the one who cut my hair.

Love my new haircut. Coupon for a wash, conditioner, cut and style for $ 11.99 in the mail. Can’t beat that. My girl was super nice and did a amazing job.

Best Fantastic Sams I have been to, hands down. I completely agree with Dina R’s review– the staff is close knit, and the stylists genuinely seem to enjoy working there, from what I can tell. When you find a hair salon has reasonable prices and a happy and skilled staff, your chances of walking out satisfied are very good. When you find an exceptional stylist in the same place that you click with, even better. That’s why I gave this salon a five star rating.
Three months ago, I visited this Fantastic Sams location for the first time to get my hair trimmed and my eyebrows done. Andi did my cut. She was funny and personable, listened well to what I wanted, and delivered. The prices were very reasonable. So when my husband wanted me to get my hair done for Mothers Day, I called and scheduled another appointment with Andi. She was able to get me in the same morning!
I came in with a picture I found online that was a big change from the style that I had before. Andi did a fantastic job again communicating and making the style happen. She is so personable and easy to talk with, and very competent. I adore my new cut, and will definitely be going back.

I was there getting a haircut earlier today and a very young beautiful lady named briana cut my hair and she was very nice and polite.

Andi is so funny. We hit it off right away! I will return again. Prices are super reasonable and the staff act like family but in a fun way.

Might have just been luck that I came in the afternoon with nobody in! I called in first, I was nervous on the phone cause I had a lame dilemma, and asked her that I had been going to this beauty salon back in S. California since I was a kid and I never knew what my hair was all about. It’s one of things where you never think your going to move out of your city and you will have a person for everything. I explained to her that the woman who would cut my hair would call it a, «Normal Hair Cut», but yeah that’s not so detailed in description anything can seem normal.
So I go in and told her I was the guy on the phone and explained to her that I remember how she would handle my hair and which way she would comb it and grab it. So I had that going for me lol. One I told her she used to use a 4, or a 3 on the back and the sides, and somewhat made a fade look on the sides and used scissors on top she understood, or had an idea what I was talking about. What helped to was that she had old style hair cuts to compare too. So I think that wrapped up our theory.
So we sat down she cut it with a 4 first to see how it would look I already felt things were going well for me in just the way she started to cut it. She sure knew her cosmologist lingo. I came out learning things that I never even know and knowing me all the small detailed stuff always sticks to me… great haha. She was very nice and knowledgeable from the basics of what a hair cut is. I noticed things on my head that I never payed attention before. I just hope I don’t turn into a, «special person» when I go to get another hair cut. Thing that was weird for me was that she washed my hair after the hair cut. I was bedazzled… I’m like, «huh?» She explained to me that some people during there lunch breaks go in to have a hair cut before there shift ends.
I completely forgot that business men and other professionals, come in and have that done. I thought that was a trend that ended years ago in America. I feel like doing that now. All in all I now have the recipe for my hair cut and don’t feel my hair will be in danger anymore. I would call up other places and they wouldn’t even try to understand me, it’s a simple Mens hair cut! nothing fancy! Went to a barber before this place, but scared the living crap out of me!
