I have now been a patient of Dr. Guminas since 2009 (so going on 7rs. now) and I cannot say I have ever been more happy with him as my PCP. In fact, although unfortunately they not to take
my insurance, I still pay to see him and will not go anywhere else. Dr. Gumina possesses many of the most important qualities of a top notch PCP. He is consistent, professional, personable, extremely intelligent and you know he genuinely cares.
Dr.Gumina has been in practice for many years, including some time over seas. He is not just your typical run of the mill doctor. He actually is very educated beyond the necessary requirements for general physicians these days and continues to impress me with his consistent knowledge of his practice and many more valuable pieces of information he has taken on the personal task of learning and mastering through self education.
He is a very confident physician who is not afraid to pick up the phone himself, instead of just handing off to a nurse or another employee and take on not only insurance companies, but the pharmacies (this is an impressive one;), but anyone who needs additional explaining or educating on any questions, concerns or matters at hand. He will indeed fight for what’s right and what’s best for the patients!
That said, one of the most endearing traits of Dr. Gumina is his passion for his practice and even more importantly, his patients. While the wait times can be trying at times, it is always worth it to be able to talk with him and address any and all of your concerns without feeling rushed. He actually takes the time to explain everything and make sure you are comfortable and confident with your care after you’ve left your appointment. This is unfortunately a rare quality in many physicians in my experience in recent years.
He also has a small staff– Adel (front desk), Heather (office manager) and Kaylee (nurse), all there working as a team, to assist you between appointments for anything from prescription refills, questions for the doctor (relayed through the nurse), appointment scheduling and many other ways to assist you between visits. These girls have all worked with Dr. Gumina for years now and just as the patients have a great tenure with the doc, so do his staff. This speaks volumes for this practice and it’s truly great to have a relationship with the whole office.
So, if you are looking for an amazing, attentive, reliable PCP that will take care of your needs, while making sure you are always a priority and feel important and appreciated as a patient, then Dr. Gumina is the perfect choice:)

i have been a patient of Dr. Guimena’s for at least 20 years and i am fed up! Heather is THE WORST! His front office staff in general is rude and impersonal. They have this attitude like asking them to refill a prescription is way out of their job description. They are trying their best to ruin Dr. Guimenas good name. I cannot not for the life of me figure out why he would keep these god awful women on his staff. he is one of the best doctors in Nevada but you wouldn’t be able to tell by how is front office is run. If you are thinking about going to him beware, these women are viscious!
I have mentioned it to the doctor multiple times but he is reluctant to change anything I love him so much but I think its time to find a new doctor until he gets it together.
STAY AWAY, OR TAKE UR ADVIL NOW BECAUSE YOU WILL NEED IT BY THE TIME YOU HANG UP YOUR FIRST PHONE CALL.

Dr. Gumina and his staff are very professional. My husband was sick and the care he got is unmatched! Give his office a try, you won’t be disappointed

Yes the wait time is a bit longer here than other doctors offices but it’s well worth it. Dr. Gumina takes his time and really listens to you during your visit, not like other doctors that rush you in and out like an assembly line. I don’t go to the doctor often so its very much worth the wait for me to see a doctor who really cares and knows what he’s talking about. Also good staff is very friendly including the lady who tells you how much money you owe ;)

This office has been closed for about a year. But Dr. Gumina has moved this location to E. Tropicana and he is in practice by himself now.
